I did , I downloaded other version too.. It apears again..

Download firmware from trusted sources like sammobile.
They should just give you .tar files which can be flashed via Odin

Try SamFirm program and see if there's any problem. I used updato once and didn't have any problems and I've used the program like 5-6 times before, without any problems neither.
You can also try to flash the file it extract. If it is really corrupted, the Odin flash should fail.

On sammobile / updato, you see the regions there, like SEB, DBT, ROM etc.
This is what you must type in SamFirm.

You'll see the android version once you check for firmware.
You can also fill the PDA and the others with the ones from a firmware 5.1.1 which you want.
Maybe this video will help you: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=27CndpB1EI0 .

yeah i know that, you don't get me ..i have the drivers. i also went to download mode(recovery right?) when i'm about to flash that firmware (S5360_DXLL1_OLBLL1_DXLL1), it was all blank. to clarify is it a stock rom? i clicked pda,scs etc and find it but i didn't see anything to flash thru ODIN. hmm..
and the firmware old or new is there a diff? and what it is ?

where did you download the firmware from
if its from sammobile you will just have a single tar.md5 file which you place in the pda section
however not all phones can support single file flashing
you need to split the firmware into odin flashable parts which you can do with splitfus2
links to pre split odin flashable firmware and splitfus2 to split your own firmware can be found on my firmware thread which you can find either by clicking the link in my signature or by looking at the top of the 5360 dev section
hmm

thats fine but in that screenshot you have not extracted the files (they are still in a zip folder copy them to say the desktop or a folder)
put csc in csc
put phone in modem
put pda in pda
make sure odin is connected to your phone - it will say com then a number in a coloured box under com:id on the left hand side
then just flash it
I dont know what you mean by new and old firmware but obviously new firmware has bug fixes and later firmware has a new kernel ramdisk but in terms of flashing new and old firmware there is totally no difference

[Repair firmwares]

I found this on the web, it's listed as "repair firmware"
I think it's good for if you've bricked your phone too much, then flash it with ODIN :highfive:
The GT-I8190 (International version) is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vy87krsmj45m58y/I8190XXAMA2_OJVAMC3_Arabic_4.1.2_com.rar
Other versions are found here (listed as repair firmwares in red text):
http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...iii-mini-firmwares&catid=55:samsung&Itemid=82
(If you the file should be "premium download only" then just google the firmware )
Odin
PIT to PIT
CSC file to CSC
DATA file to AP or PDA
(tick repartition, auto reboot, f.reset time (not more))
Flash with ODIN 1.85 if other versions don't do the trick. Thanks to @mattiawhite for the ODIN version tip!
why not to download stock firmwares from sammobile, here is really everything + download speed is pretty decent
and HEREyou can find pit file for both "pure" and "N" version
does anybody have L version pit file? just to complete list here?

But the list in my second link tells specific firmwares are "repair" firmwares, maybe there is something about them? Or not?

I flashed it and I know now,
it contains more files than the usual firmwares
Which files?
I've checked this "repair firmware" and it looks similar like this service firmware, so nothing new.

Try firmware initialization under tools in Kies. You will probably get a pop up saying your phone is not compatible just close that out and hit tools, firmware initialization, then follow the instructions Kies gives you.

Well that stinks. Maybe another firmware for the F version or maybe as I have heard others say they need a new pit file but that is dangerous stuff there and shouldn't be messed with unless really necessary and I don't know where you could find one. Good luck.
I'm not sure, but i think you're on a newer bootloader and you flash back to an older firmware
so far as i know you can't downgrade!
Try searching newer stock firmware and try again!

stuck system.img every time

Hey guys,
I'm trying to go back to stock but seems impossible to me, every time odin stucks at system.img... tried with different firmwares and nothing works..
I did the formats, tried fuc****** everything...
Can anyone help me ? Thanks..
That's annoying. You need to find the exact firmware which matches to your specific phone's model no. in this case, region wise I mean. And needless to say use the latest Odin.
