Rollback to mm from NRD90m test-keys HELP - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

How i can downgrade NRD90m test-keys to L21C432b160 mm with a rollback package ? i tried to put in dload folder but doesent work, i have no root, bootloader is lock(because huawei refuse to give the unlock key), no custom recovery. i want to downgrade because a lot of app is missing , and i want official when they relese it. Thanks and sorry for bad english!

was this updated through official methods?
i have the nrd90-test keys build and i have not managed to find a working image for the DLOAD folder. im also not sure if you can downgrade that easy there is a spanish forum that is oftne linked here with a downgrade guide but you 100% need unlocked bootloader to do that.

no

No i updated trough Charles app with fake ip adress. I tried to unlock bootloader but Huawei doesent want to give me unlock key because warranty, they sended me a mail.

MANY, MANY people warn about not using that method (even me) because it doesn't let you update correctly, why d'you do that? Now without an unlocked bootloader you can't even go back. Can't do anything, actually. Because to go back to MM you need it unlocked. Any other method doesn't work. Just try to obtain the bootloader code, in the meantime you can't do anything but wait. Maybe next time read other people's experiences before trying to mod your device?

I Think You were using wrong update.app . Tell me your modle number & region . I will give update.app. You can easily rollback with it

Hi, I'm currently running in android 7.0, I done the unofficial update and as it happened to everyone I don't have all the apps, I have unlocked. Bootloader, I live in UK and my model number is VNS-L31, if you give the right "update.app" file and I put it In a folder called dloader that I will make then press [+vol]+[-vol]+[power] it will downgrade to the normal update and it will be the same like when I bought it?

Try dc phoenix. To load a mm update.app. Should work even with locked boot loader or if you brick the phone. I had a similar thing happen with an it's update, I think its because I had root and redo installed.

i ended up sending the device to huawei vip service, they replaced the motherboard. i was kind of surprised, i had expected them to just reflash stock firmware but no.

Root ALE-L02

Hello guys,
Is there a way to root ALE-L02? I have read tons of threads here and most of them is for L21 and L04. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
I too have an ALE-L02 phone.
Can I ask, what differences have you found between L02 and the L21?
Have you tried using any software labelled "for ALE-L21" that has/hasn't worked for your L02?
The L02, L21 &L23 appear to be identical apart apart from the frequency bands they use. I would guess this means that any guide for unlocking the bootloader or rooting would be identical in all three devices.
I have to wait another 10 days or so before they'll give me an unlock code, I'll try to root my L02 after that.
Using L02 too. Can you give us an update @boredaghast? Thanks.
I followed a video guide that I'm sure I found on this website. Both videos were by the root junky website. All I needed was a Facebook account too get my unlock code instantly. I'll search for the links and edit later today.

I will. Huawei have said that I have to own the phone for 14 days before they'll give me an unlock code, so I'll be a few more days yet.
I'll follow the root junky video on YouTube I think.
This video unlocks the phone
To get your unlock code instantly will require a Facebook account though
is the root Video which must be done second (after the phone is unlocked)
So far I've only really been able to change the font of my phone and use an additional theme for my phone. I've been unsuccessful at Making a back up of my phone, any attempt to do so with software on the phone reboot to back just leads to the emui screen. Anyone else's progress?
Edit: sorry can't post external links, search site:youtube.com user:root junky. He links to software on his own website that I downloaded and scanned, nothing malicious and worked great for me
Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
Thanks guys. I'll wait for the update. I don't want to root but I need to install my apps to my sdcard. I am unable to do so even if my settings were already changed to use sdcard.
So, I unlocked the bootloader and followed the Root Junky videos on YouTube and now my ALE-L02 is rooted. :good:

Some questions

Hi, i am somewhat new to this, i have a ALE-L23 (i think it is a single SIM cause in my box comes only one imei) which used to have android 5 (emui 3) so i downloaded & installed the C432B565 update so i could update my phone to android 6, everything went fine (did it trough the official huawei app) and generally speaking my phone works normally but now i see in the build number hi6210sft and in the build model BalongC52B311
As i said, everything works fine, the only issue i have at the moment is that my computer can't recognize my phone when i connect it via USB (The battery does charge itself tough, and when i connect my S4 the computer does recognize it, so i know the cable is not the problem here)
Do you think it is somehow related? Should i worry about the build number and model? Is there any way to fix it? preferably without unlocking my bootloader as my warranty is still valid.
Any help will be highly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Download b132 version and flash it, after flashing that.. There must be a folder named vendor which contains update.app (small in size), flash that too.. This will remove the bug..
If successful, you may proceed to download and flash b170, b550 and all the way to b574..

1.That app is unreliable, result may very, many users complain of bootloop resulting from the updates it downloads
2.i believe that's a beta version of Nougat, it doesn't mean it's full of bugs or unusable, if you're able to download it and try, read about first how to rollback from noUgat to MM so that if you find the beta not to be what you want you know what to do.

Depends on the unlock method, but if you relock your bootloader before returning to vendor for what ever reason, you should be good, and also install stock ROM and remove any modifications such as root etc. before returning for service.
Note:
Huawei keeps record of every device that had asked for bootloader unlock code from their site and thus they check every device prior to service, and this is where they get a lot of people wether relocked bootloader or not, and also this depends where you live...so using other unlock methods that are "warranty proofed" are advisable, but this cost money JFYI.

As far as I know, the ta 1025 is basically the same as ta 1021. The recovery is in the [RECOVERY] TWRP 3.2 (and a sneak peak...) Thread here in the forums. You have to look for the image with 64bit on the filename, it lays in a MEGA link. Sorry for not linking but I am on mobile now and don't have that much time. I'll link it later.

Well its a long process I used a post called convert global to Chinese ROM nokia 6 and I followed the instructions.then I proceeded to buy a bootloader unlock key and did the note you must click on edit phone information in OST before attempting the unlock as it needs the service permissions then just use fastboot with latest adb platform tools .i used the dm-verity commands to allow partition flashing and the critical commands for bootloader flashing and I flashed the unlock bin file.Im using the Chinese ROM as it has more features and NFC you'd have to sideload the play store but it works.also wouldn't hurt to check the forums for the other commands.the official recovery on twrp.me works flawlessly.also make sure you battery is at the least 50% charged anything below 15%charge ost will refuse to flash

Go here follow guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/guide-convert-nokia-6-global-variant-to-t3838082 .then go here to buy a unlock key.https://www.techmesto.com/guide-unlock-bootloader-nokia-android-phones/.
*mods im not promoting this site for bootloader unlocking it worked for me so id figured ill help some people out please don't rape me..
In the mean time when the firmware is flashed don't update it.I decided taking risk at this for fun.also I can't live without my magisk modules.so anyone that sees this post follow it.it should work. I assume it should work on other Nokia 6 variants as well.

Is there any other way to root without unlock bootloader via thise key.... Other way like adb or ost/sut tools?

P9 lite stock rom

Hi, I have a p9 lite VNS-L31 european version. It has nasty vodafone branding that I want to get rid of. I have tried the metods suggested in other threads here where you copy update.app into a folder called dload on an sd card and restart the phone holding down the two buttons on the side, but all I get is it fail repeatedly at 5%.
I have read around threads but I am none the wiser. Any advice would be appreciated before I throw this thing out of the window because this crappy vodafone rom is going to die one way or another.
Thanks
im on same situation.. the only thing i can flash is c432b160 from huawei site and i can flash only via fastboot
if i flash with same method the new rom 5.0 it will hang on boot up
Sorry to hear Sergio. It looks like this has been done deliberately which makes me super mad. I have tried ADB and fastboot and it still will not let me do it.
Would rooting help to get rid of this crap on our phones?

root? how do you think root will help? and who deliberately made this? i never thought that, but now you said that...
which version are you now?

Hey guys i think you are saying two different things...
About @ba_baracuss i suggest you to rebrand your firmware from your ( C02/vodafone ) to C432 ( european general ) firmware.
To do this you need your bootloader unlocking number first....
If you are on a marshmallow firmware use K1ll3r8e toolkit
If are on nougat firmware you can use HWOTA like explained in this thread.
@sergio_f i think you already tried everything, really don't know how you will get rid of this.
Maybe you could try to update first to B170 using DLOAD method then see if OTA offer you NOUGAT updates...
All the best guys

Sorry dude i had a false memory..
I checked for it too and it doesn't exist... I was asking if you had even B160 firmware.
Is your device a dual sim one ? Have you rooted and / or flashed custom recovery ?
If not maybe could be helpful make a rollback to your first firmware ( ex. B150 ) or reflash B160 again, but i'm not really sure....
Brick is behind the corner, proceed with caution..
Thanks for your reply @Dadditz. Unfortunately I can't solve it yet.
You said I need bootloader unlocking number first - I do not have it. I have tried that before, going to huawei site and putting in various phone info. At the end it gives a dead webpage, with no unlocking number.
I am on nougat and so followed your link and have downloaded the HWOTA as directed, copied to memory card, then when I enter recovery by holding down the buttons on the side, it does a factory recovery and I still have the vodafone branding.
I don't get what he does in the youtube video at all. I just get EMUI recovery and back to vodafone.
Where am I going wrong? Is it because I need the unlocking number? If so how can I get it when the huawei page doesn't work?
Thanks for your help so far, it is appreciated.

Thanks Sergio. Do you have a link for the chat? The UK site doesn't seem to have a chat option.
Also, when you get it, how do you use it?
Thanks

Just to update, I got a reply from Huawei UK support. They said they stopped giving codes out on 25th July, so that is one less option.

Hi,
unfortunately you cannot rebrand without unlocking you bootloader first and flashing a custom recovery...
This is very well explained on the threads i linked you my friend....
If sergio_f cannot help you ( grab the unlocking bootloader number ), maybe with DC-Phoenix, paying some euro/dollar/yen you could do this...
Do some search about...
P.S.: read carefully the guides when you find one... ( at least twice )
@sergio_f
really don't know dude, if OTA stock doesn't work, try with HISUITE, i don't know if dc-phoenix could help.
Under your responsability you could try to follow some guides about rollback or rebrand ( to your actual CUST C432 ),
reflashing then your actual firmware....
I know it's a s***ty standby, but only you can choose.
All the best guys

Thanks for the reply. I have done lots of searching and downloading for days to the point where I will soon smash the phone with a hammer.
I have tried dc unlocker and it says this:
Reading bootloader code...
No username !
I don't know what that means. Is it because you have to pay to use it and get a username or something?

Hello,
yes like i told this is a paid program. I never used it but I think it's not hard to get work done...
The site provides tutorials on how to read the bootloader code... here
and how to unlock it... here, and a lot of tutorials are present here on XDA too, just search...
Delete ( eventually ) registered firgerprints, enable USB-DEBUGGING and OEM-UNLOCK to proceed...
Usually somethings missed so it's very important to read the guides at least a couple of times.
Best regards

Thanks Dadditz. I have now got a bootloader code, but cannot enter it.
I have tried the guide on the dc unlocker link and also found one here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701 using SRK tool, but neither can detect the phone.
The droidth SRK tool sticks at 'waiting for device'.
I have enabled USB debugging and OEM unlock, but it still doesn't work.
I will keep trying but if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.
Oh, and I have tried asking on dc-unlocker forum but my post does not appear. I am guessing they block new members posts until admins enable it or some bull****.
Thanks
