My Le Pro3 available space is only 19.9G, feeling a problem, especially to ask - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

The thing is, last month I bought a Le PRO3 device in lemall , after the hand check all normal, but with the use for a long time to find the lack of storage space, I cleaned up the trash and found that the available space is just only 19.9G, I said the device is 4G+32G storage, 32G storage is available on the 19.9G. Has used 10 G, is this normal?
What is your LePro3 like?
And this problem can be solved by the flash new rom?
At last,I brush a number of ROM packages, found the boot card in the first screen, that is, ‘’Android” logo, can not enter the system, I would like to ask whether this is my device or ROM package problem?
I hope someone can solve this puzzle,
Thank you, this is my first time to come to the XDA forums, the misuse of words still hope

Le Pro3 should only come in 64 or 128GB variants. Did you flash a ROM for another device that changed the partition sizes?
Go to settings > Storage and see how much you have.

I think u purchased Le 2 and not le pro 3 , as Le 2 has 32gb storage.

Why, CN had 4/32 and 6/64 x720... You should have capacity 32, formatted to 29~30 equals used+avaiable.

I think it's normal. The 64GB one has something like 52GB available.

Lol stop spreading false info for the guy. There is 32gb version of le pro 3, and with completely stock and empty phone it should have around 22gb free space.

I got the same problem with the 32Gb's version, and noticed other guys have 23-24GB free to used.
I've already flash all the rom like miui,CM13,orginal rom, coolpad's s1 rom and even the fully offical 17s rom with flashone 1.3(bought it from a chinese buyer), nothing changed..
it's a really strange thing.

Sometimes vendor install rom, but they didn't install good.
Try, to download the rom, and make a sd format, and flash rom.
For me it's work.

Beginner question - how to start?

Hi,
It will probably take some time until I'll get my phone, but I am trying to understand how to start.
I am OK with having only English on my phone, but I would prefer to have a clean and bloat free rom that has the GAPPS and that can get OTA updates.
I want to do the minimum needed to get this, I really don't want to change roms every other week.
How should I start? I am a bit lost.
Is the Chinese rom that bad?
Should I change the rom and root it?
Thanks in advance,
Asaf
I think this should be in the Q&A forum
It sounds like you want a stable ROM with Gapps. Xiaomi offer several ROM types. If you want Gapps included from the start, you want their stable international ROM. The trouble is that at the moment they don't do one for the XRN2 yet. Head over to en.miui.com, pick a phone that has been around for longer and in the download section for that device you will see the different ROM types (there are tabs at the top of each phone section). There are also a couple of great explanatory pages in their forum that guide you through the different ROM types.
Use the xiaomi.eu ROM. Multilanguage, clean and with Gapps. OTA also included

First, get TWRP installed in your phone.
Then flash a stable rom
At the end, install proper gapp using TWRP.
Thanks.
So
1. Install TWRP, will this link should be enough to install it? http://en.miui.com/thread-156838-1-1.html
2. Go to http://xiaomi.eu --> ROMs DOWNLOAD and take the DOWNLOAD WEEKLY rom (http://miuif.celogeek.com/5.9.10/xiaomi.eu_multi_hermes_5.9.11_v7-5.0.zip)?

BUT, you said you don't want to have to flash a new ROM every week. The xiaomi.EU weekly ROMs are a beta ROM, they are not the same as the 'stable' ROM. I'm using the weekly version just fine, but there are a few bugs. This ROM may or may not suit your needs. Please be aware of that As soon as Xiaomi release the official stable International ROM with Gapps, that's the one you want (based on your stated requirements).
Thanks
So perhaps I'll wait, hopefully it will come up soon enough.
Hope the Chinese rom isn't too bad...

The first ROM I flashed was the stable ROM from MIUI.com. At the moment this is available as Chinese only (with only Chinese and English languages on board). It is also MIUI version 6 not 7. You do not need TWRP installed to flash this. You can just download it straight to internal storage, then use the Xiaomi updater app (which is already on the phone) to manually flash it. This ROM is not rooted.
Next I tried the weekly ROM from MIUI.com. At that point I incorrectly thought that it would be multi language, but it wasn't. It did at least have MIUI 7 on board though. TWRP is also not needed to flash this. This ROM is rooted. Root settings can be accessed via the Security app. You can also install SuperSU, grant it root access, then use it to control the root access of other apps if you wish. There are no Google apps on board. I was on n holiday at the time so I manually placed all the relevant files, set permissions and so on using ES File explorer that I side loaded and granted root privileges to. Yes, my girlfriend thought it was very romantic of me to spend a whole evening split between doing this and hunting some particularly aggressive mosquitoes trapped in our room. Only the best for my love.
Finally I downloaded the latest weekly (not stable) ROM from from Xiaomi.EU. As well as being a beta, it is not an official Xiaomi ROM. They do also have a stable ROM in offer, but it is not rooted. Basic Google apps are installed. TWRP is not needed here either. However, I installed it briefly to make a full backup of my phone, and a separate backup of the NVRAM portion of the device where the IMEI resides. Experience tells me this is important on an MTK phone in case the area becomes corrupt during an incorrect flash. You can also use SPFlash Tools to do this from a computer. Google the process, it's well worth being prepared. Damian Parsons over on GizBeat and China Phone Arena has done some useful tutorials with videos. Make sure you have the right version of SPFlash tools (which is not the same as MTKdroidtools -or something like that). I have only used a couple of times with my first two MTK phones so I don't know what version you need to use with this chipset.
For my purposes NONE of these ROMs actually fit the bill. Why? Because none of them so far allow me to select UK English as the default language or select the UK as the region I'm in. It's a small thing, but the last three Chinese phones I've had all suffered from the same problem. I end up rooting and using More Locales app to create a new default language code over and above selecting UK English in Google keyboard.
Once Xiaomi release an official global ROM the download page for the Note 2 will look like in the attached screenshot which shows the Mi4 page. Note the two tabs at the top, global and Chinese, in addition to the 'stable' and 'developer' sections down the left hand side.
Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong because I'm new to Xiaomi devices
Thanks for the detailed response.
Sounds like that for my purposes, and until an official rom is out, the easiest option is either the latest weekly or stable from xiaomi.eu.
I understand they can be installed using xiaomi updater as well?
Yes, you can install them the same way as official ROMs.

Also, when I received my phone there was a lot of non-MIUI related bloatware and possibly malware on board. It was multi language (with UK English as a built in option) but it all felt wrong, slow and dodgy. Reading elsewhere it was recommended the best thing to do was flash a ROM from a PC using the fastboot method to erase everything, then start from there. There are fastboot ROMs with instructions on the en.miui.com site. If you think you need to, you could flash via fastboot, then download your subsequent choice of ROM from xiaomi.EU and flash that however you please. As I was away (and impatient) I didn't do the first flash via fastboot. I just did a full wipe from the stock recovery, then put a ROM into internal memory, then flashed it from the stock recovery, then factory reset again. No idea if that was sufficient, but there's no sign of the extra apps any more.
You don't need TWRP

Thanks for the info, this is great for me. I will follow what you said regarding backing up this NVRAM you speak of, as I just read that the source code for the Helios X10 has been released, so we can expect more people including members of the HTC M9+ forum playing around with code.
It would be nice to have an option for UK English (or Australian English for me, to be precise) however I haven't noticed much of a difference, maybe because I have Swiftkey installed and that already has the correct language setting.

Changing the language to UK English is only part of the problem for me. Basically the phone thinks I'm in the U.S, or rather, that I have a U.S phone in the UK. This can cause problems within apps that want tailor content to my region code (or even deny me content). I've tried editing the build.prop a little, but it doesn't seem to help.
Mobile Uncle tools (free in Play Store) used to be able to back up one's IMEI number, but it didn't work on this phone. Dunno if that's because it runs lollipop. Anyway, that's why TWRP was handy and I will try using SPFlashTools again at some point.

Note 4 Wake Lag Sd Card Known Issue Recommendation Stock Marshmallow

Hi there!
Right now I'm using an A-Data Micro SDXC Premier Pro 64GB UHS-I and I have 1-2 seconds wake lag and also lag in general. If the sdcard is plugged in I get lag even though I formatted it using exfat...
So I want to beg you all if you have no lag using some kind of microSd 64GB, pls don't hesitate to tell me which is it so I can purchase a new 64 gb micro sdcard in order to get rid of that annoying lag caused by an incompatible type of microsdcard.
So I need you to tell me what's your sdcard's manufacter and it's necessarly for you to have no lag on STOCK Marshmallow ROM(stock 6.0.1) and it's mandatory to have 64 gb capacity not more, not less Thanks in advance!!
I had the same issue with a 64gb card. Unfortunately I don't remember the brand but it was supposed to be a good brand, a class 10.
I had it exchanged for a Samsung Evo 64 card, class 10 and the wake up lag is gone.
So I assumed it was the card.
Hope this helps.
Samsung PRO 64Gb here, no issues.

Salut. Multumesc frumos pentru recomandare. Chiar acum 10 minute cautam un Samsung Evo 64GB pe olx ca sa probez unul mai intai sa vad daca merge ca din magazin e greu sa poti proba inainte. Apropo, folosesti ROM-ul stock?
Din păcate nu putem vorbi romana.
I'm not using stock rom.
I'm using nemesis rom v2 which is a n7 port, which in my opinion is the best out there, and I tried them all.
The memory card issue I had it with stock rom so I'm sure it's not rom related. It was solved soon after replacing the card. So I can assure you that a Samsung Evo card works. You don't have to try on olx, you can by one and return it if doesn't work for you. Unfortunately I don't remember the store where I bought it from but it was online, in Bucharest.
Numai bine

Salut. You're right... I was almost forgotten we can't talk here in romanian. Well, thanks for your nemesis recommendation. I didn't think there is something better than Norma/Aurora on the market but I think I will give Nemesis a shot. Coming back with reactions this week. I don't think this wake lag issue is ROM related either but I was just curious how you are: stock or custom. I can assure I've tried everything concerning custom ROMS from: Kazica/Kurama- Dr.Ketan(PRO) - Norma/Aurora and there was always something that I couldn't stand with. Personally, I'm looking for a Note 7 port which uses stock kernel. I'm on N910F and it seems I have to forget about wifi connection if I refuse to flash the custom kernel being it either: H-Vitamin or RamKernel. I am just freightened when it comes to changing kernels because I know the havoc they can produce to our phones. I'm not sure if returning the sdcard just because it still causes lag is possible, here in Romania. Anyway I will try these days and see what will happen. Thanks again!!
So long!
Kurama was a great rom but the developing has stopped.
As for the note 7 ports, for me nemesis is the best.
V2 has aroma option and you can choose whether you want stock or not. The kernel I think is h-vitamin. I also tried ram-kernel but didn't see any major difference. With stock nemesis Bluetooth, WiFi, mirroring, all works out of the box.
As for the memory card this was exactly the reason I used when returning my card in Romania and they didn't object. Obviously I returned it pretty quickly not after a month of using it . It was after a few days. And they accepted to give me the Samsung Evo and I payed the difference.

[Q] [HELP] How do you identify the correct variant of Redmi 2?

I've tried posting this in MIUI forums and haven't gotten any replies. I'll try my luck with XDA.
How do you correctly identify Redmi 2?
I've got a RM2 that has the 2014811 variant when I check it onscreen.. But I'm skeptic that it's correct. All I know is 2014811 is suppose to be a normal Redmi 2 with 1 gigs of RAM and 8 gigs of ROM. But mine's a 2 gigs RAM & 16 gigs ROM. If I'm correct, with specs like those, my RM2 is suppose to be a RM2 enchanced variant (Pro, Prime, etc). What I can't figure out is which variant is it that I'm dealing with. Another thing that I know is that the RM2 version of mine isn't the global one because I didn't buy it from an official shop, I bought it from an external distributor. The RM 2 box is written in chinese and the characters underneath the battery are full chinese (except for the S/N and IMEI). Is my RM 2 a 2014818 or 2014819? How can I find out which variant is it that I have with me.
Thank you.
2014819- Brazilian variants
2014818- Redmi 2 prime variation of 2014811

Guys thanks for your replies. After intensive research, I have concluded that: yes, my device is totally a WT88047 - HM201411 - HM 2 LTE-CU (China Unicom) variant. But now I've found out something else that's got me hooked up on finding out. I'm using latest stable stock rom (MIUI 8 - 8.2.1.0), and I checked out my Mi-Account menu in settings, snooped down to devices and... My RM2P is named Redmi 2W..... So... What the heck is Redmi 2W? I've been searching here and there with no luck on finding out what a Redmi 2W is (Haven't checked the chinese sites though). Does anyone know what it is?

I've got: touchscreen issues, wake up issues, twrp issues, kernel issues and proximity issues. I'm guessing even if I tell you what I'm experiencing, you won't be able to find a solution for it (please don't say I've got defective hardware, because I don't. Why? Because 3 of my friends bought the same device as mine, in the same online shop and all of them have the same issues). But even so I'll just post all of em and cross my fingers:
TWRP's bugged, needs to timeout (screen off) first before I'm able to responsively use it (touchscreen bugged, tried all latest TWRP versions, including kumajaya's old twrp builds. Touchscreen does work on several 2.8.7.0 and below versions for KK bootloader).
Any custom rom I've flashed will always face lockscreen issues (waking up device using power button leads to unresponsive and un-swipe-able touchscreen, that means I can't unlock my device, seems like it has to do with with proximity too, and please don't ask me about gestures and modified navigation buttons, because I don't use them at all: dt2w, s2w, etc).
Any custom kernel used will always lead to device not being able to wake up (pressing power button doesn't wake up the screen, stays black, have to reset device by force, still happens even though I'm using stock CPU govs *interactive* and I/O scheds *noop* not using hotplugs, doesn't change anything)
I still even face all those problems in Stock MIUI (KK or LP.. 7, 8)
Try downloading china developer ROM? Yeah. I've done that.. Even went to the Chinese download page of miui to download the exact recommended MIUI 8 C-Dev ROM for my HM 2 LTE-CU variant, and still the same bugs occur.
Xposed? I've experimented using stock and custom roms (below API 24) that are Un-Xposed. They still exhibit the same problems as above.
Clean flash dirty flash? I totally understand what those are.
Wipe dalvik cache and cache.. Don't even dare ask about those.
Fix Permissions? Yeah.. It didnt make a difference..
Post dmseg and logcats? Trust me, you devs will probably mark my device as a different type of WT8847 (and by saying that means even if you succeed to find the problems, to fix them means you gotta totally change the 'insides' of roms and stuff to make it compatible with mine. It'll probably be a waste of time if I post those 2 guys here.
Can you help me, bro?

Yeah, I know where you're getting at bro. Let me ask you this, does it not annoy you to death when you're restoring the same backup ROMs frequently just because suddenly your device can't use wi-fi (bugged) or tether, or maybe one of the issues above occur and you just gotta try your best to keep it 'clean'.. again.. and again.. and again? I just need a damn good daily driver without issues for crying out loud :cyclops:

that's all are happening 'cause of source code modification of lineage from cyanogen which caused your device unfavorable base code modification, only thing can be done is flash stock rom, bootloader, recovery, modem, everything using fastboot.

So in other words "bye-bye" to custom roms right? I'm in latest stable global miui 8 btw (LP), I clean flashed it via download mode, those problems still show up though. Okay let me just try to flash miui via fastboot or download mode again.

Sell Redmi 3 & Note 3 ? No Rom updates / 16GB memory full of apps, cannot move them

Sell Redmi 3 & Note 3 ? No Rom updates / 16GB memory full of apps, cannot move them
I'm thinking of selling my Redmi 3 and my daughters Redmi Note 3 both with only 2GB RAM & 16GB internal storage for a newer Redmi with 4GB/32GB
My 16GB ram is constantly full and I cannot move them to my SD card (tested many Move 2 SD apps, app manager,...)
In the past I flashed custom roms and now I have one of the officials again (= no option to move apps to SD built in).
I have following questions :
-What is the latest interesting custom rom / Android (Pie working yet?) is the latest working on a Redmi 3 or note 3, cause I only see old roms in the rom section here ?
-Is is really not possible to move apps to the sd-card, when I try Move 2 SD it get a message to go to storage, but there is no option built there to move them
-Which Redmi's do you recommend around €125-€150? (may also be secondhand) with 4GB/32GB ?

you can move into sd card, but you have to be rooted first.
but in my opinion, its better you change your phone to newer 4/32 as you suggest first
Lineage
Hi, I've just finished update on my wife's Red mi 3.
Lineage OS 17.1 unofficial. Based on Android 10. I was able to format SD as adoptable memory, so phone free space after installation of all apps is around 7GB.
Performance is even better than original last official MIUI. WiFi is a bit slow, but no other problem for now.

Can't install LineageOS 17.1 on N9006-

Can anyone please help me I'm unable to install Lineage 17.1 on my SM-N9006, previous version 16Los I can install it fully working now 17.1.
I tried every model on lineageos.download page none of them is working I always get: Error 7. does this mean my device is end support?
I'm getting the same error on N9005 device. what is the memory size of your device? I'm afraid the error got to do with the 16GB devices.

I think yes this might be the problem trigger for 16GB devices, exactly what happen to me.

My device is 16 GB I'm able to install 16.0 Lineage hlte but now for 17.1 it's impossible, if somebody kind enough please help us thank you.
16gb different PIT to 32GB
You are right they have different PIT's, but it only matter in officials roms. custom rom such as Lineage does not have PIT files to begin with so they shouldn't care about partition size as long as they can fit in there.
Hello, yep, I know this is an almost year old thread, but for anyone reading with a similar problem, here is my update experience. I have similar model, originally the China variant -9006- I believe, sort of a 9005 sans Play Store. Has the Snapdragon 800 CPU. 32 bit. 3 RAM.
Rooted using Odin, then installed Lineageos 17.1 via TWPS + nano Gapps.
First time for me so I was more than relived when it worked - perfectly, first time.
I mention all this as mine is also a 16GB model - in fact I thought they all were , but what would I know - so maybe that rules out the hypothesis being circulated here?
I do however, have a 64 SD card installed - if that make any odds?
Just my experience, as I said , to show it is not impossible.
