Changing DPI Settings with Root - optimal Settings - Lenovo Yoga Book Questions & Answers

Hey there,
now that there´s a way to root the device - did anyone already mess around with the dpi settings?
If so: What´s considered to be stable? and ...is there a danger to brick/bootloop the device with changing it?

[Q] Stock Performance Settings?

Hey,
i just became a developer on my oppo find 5 (with clicking 5 times on the build number) then i changed something in the performance settings.
But now i want it to be the stock settings again. Which governor / I/O Scheduler was choosen.
Also i want to know if there is an option to quick the developer status again to provide unwanted changes.
regards Fenry
I'm not sure of a way to hide the developer options, short of reflashing. To get the stock i/o settings, just make sure the enable on boot is not checked, then restart. Stock settings should then be restored on boot.
If you delete all data of settings (settings->Apps->all->settings->clear data) developer options should be gone!

Cpu settings safestrap goldeneye

Hey,
Is there anyway to get my cpu settings to stick? Im trying to get readahead cache to stick to 2048kb, min cpu to 486 and change the governor to deadline. Ive tried multiple kernal/cpu apps and enabled the set on boot toggle but every boot i have to manually change them again.
Latest goldeneye lolipop rom with safestrap.
Really sorry for the bump guys, 50 views and no replies but I think this affects alot of users on touchwiz roms
Maybe theres an init.d script that can do this? Apply the values on boot cause with a Kernal tuner app I can change the settings, and they work fine - until I reboot.
Then I have to manually change the values again.
There has to be way Im just not knowledgable enough to know a work around. Bootloader is locked so can't change the kernal so im using the stock OC3 kernal on lolipop..
What I really care about is setting the readahead cache to 2048 and changing the governor to deadline instead of the stock cfq. Those are the only two values Id like to be set on boot!

[Q] [Z010D] How to change screen resolution?

Hi guys, my first post on the forum here.
I do some research about changing resolution on my device Asus Zenfone Max Z010D S410 running on Stock Rom but all of them didnt work, so I want to ask you guys about some method to change screen resolution to lower. How to to it?
I think lower screen resolution can give some better performance thanks for reading.
Most screen resolution apps in the playstore require root, as well as all known methods of doing so. Custom roms like Lineage OS, Resurrection Remix, etc. have the option to change screen density in the display settings. If you are rooted, the easiest way is to go to the system folder in root, edit the text in build.prop using root explorer, then edit or add this line anywhere in the text: "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" 320 is the default dpi for the zenfone max. Decrease the value to make the screen items smaller. Increments of 10 are suggested. Make sure to do a TWRP backup first so that you can revert to your previous configuration in case something goes wrong.

Cutomize kernel WiFi/Bluetooth/SD settings

Hey , i want to customize my own kernel/rom with the following specifications:
Disabling wifi/bt/sd card
Whitelisting usb devices.
Any ideas where shouldni search in order to achive this?

Cannot change Bluetooth Codec

So I finally fixed my Bluetooth connectivity problem by changing my Codec to something else in the Developer Options. That's good, but another problem has appeared — leaving Developer Options menu will revert all the settings back to its default settings.
This happens on both MIUI 10 and 11.

Err... what? Sorry, I'm a total newbie at this.
