hi ,
In short ,i have rooted my device N910F , from day one that Lollipop ( German vers DBT ) was released .i used CF auto version, i used on Android v 4.4.4, no problem ,i also flashed custom recovery using old version of CWM ,i used in 4.4.4.
No problems at all .( but if you go this root make sure you have right auto root version etct.)
Above facts stated ,it all depends on you what /how /method you want to root ?
Do you care to trip knox or not etc .??
I do not care ,( since Note 3 days )

i used CF auto root ( dev .... @Chainfire) see his thread

if you look at his post # 3 is a list of CF autoroot version ( i think i used the first one for N910F ,not sure now )
i rooted Lollipop with same version i used to root when i was on Android v 4.4.4
i do not know if there is an updated version for Lollipop ,but old version work for me ...
(yes you trip knox ,but to me it does not matter )

pls help me root my samsung galaxy on7 (sm-g600fy). i tried every method out there including root genius, srs root, kingoroot, kingroot (it roots but its lost after reboot) etc.

seems like nobody is interested in helping on7 users root their phone............. meh

Trying to root after upgrading to v6.0
I was waiting for long time to root my phone, but unfortunately I upgraded to v6.0 and now I do not have enough space in my phone memory. So, i`m looking for options to either root my phone to delete unwanted builtin apps, or reset to v5.1.

I have this note 3 and i tried almost every method in xda to root it but none of them works so plz if there any way to root it i will be greatfull to share it with me
Informations related to my phone :
-android 5.0
-model number :SM-N9005
-build number :LRX21V. N9005XXUGBPB1
-CSC version : N9005EVRGBPB1
-Bootloader & PDA version are the same :N9005XXUGBPB1

Cf auto Root

Thanks for reply ,, i tried cf auto root and when the download by oden begin then it intrupted ,i saw a thread aboud deactivating samsung account (auto relock or something like that) ..i will remove it and then trying again to root by cf auto root .

I deactivate "reactivation lock" in security tab .and its work . I root it in 10 sec.
But i still have a question can rooting by cf auto root allows me to instal costum roms?!!

Yes and no .
A custom recovery is also required .

The simplest way to install a custom ROM would be to install TWRP via Odin. Installing via Odin does not require root access.

Thanks guys for helping me and I'm sorry for late reply I was in vacation ..everything is good now I rooted it very well and installed twrp ,I start using CyanogenMod 12.1 and it work well .I tried first cm 13 but it has issues like no sound in calls I tried to find solution for that but didn't work . so I installed cm 12.1 and I didn't noticed much differences between them so I'm happy with this cm 12.1 . thanks Again ur the best. Rooting fails

Hi all,
I tried yesterday o root my S8 950FD without success. I had to flash a stock rom to get it back after hours of researchs.
Does any one have a proper way to root my S8 ?
My device infos are:
SM-950FD
Adroid 7
G950FXXU1AQG5
Knox 2.8
Could any one give me a hand with this please ? I tried to flash an img file that got it HS...Followed a tutorial on youtube.

You can get twrp from the official twrp site. Current magisk or supersu will work like on every other phone.

official twrp is english. you can flash the .tar file in odin. reboot in to recovery and you will be greeted with twrp. format data to remove encryption. than flash supersu and reboot. that's it. you worry to much for no reason at all. stop second guessing yourself and just do it. only reason not to root is if you want to keep fingerprint working that's it. All these other links are for chinese forums that just ported twrp and use chinese firmware not hong kong firmware and OFFICIAL twrp. BBS.gfan are a bunch of morons you can safely ignore that forum.

It'll be a big problem that after root fingerprint will not work if i root my device by Cf-Auto Root package or Root by king Root or Magisk so what fingerprint will work or wil not work..?

@criszz will fingerprint work after root or not..? @travis82 my 1st teacher said fingerprint will not work and everything will work I'm new here please guide me safely process because u know I'm female and females heart is soo small I'm afraid any brick or attacks :crying:

Thnak you soo much my 2nd teacher @criszz Well i don't need samsung pay but all other apps and systems should work i just want everything should work like wifi volte fingerprint camera Google app Google play services dual sim and etc and fingerprint is most important for me 1st time I'm rooting my device because i hate too much bloatwares in this device i want to delete and i want to install S6 keyboard thas y I'm rooting my device and you know why I'm afraid because if my phone will brick so my father will never ever give me mobile because we are not rich :crying:

Damn I am catholic but god this and that is a bit creepy and needy isn't it? To root search in the Galaxy Apps store for CROM download that and run it to unlock your bootloader. 2nd go in to developer options and turn on oem unlock. 3rd reboot in to download mode and flash the twrp .tar you downloaded from twrp website. You should know how to do the rest honestly.

Maria, my honest opinion is : if you don't know to root, don't do it. Wait few more days until Nougat will be aviable.

I will put an N rom out when I can get it via ota no need to wait. But with this persons over cautiousness I would advise to wait till you are more confident. Just my personal opinion.

Thanks Mr @travis82 after put the tar file to PDA then before to start in which options will i have to Tick.? only Reset or Auto-Reboot i know i have not to tick repartition after flash phone will be still on download mod then i will have to leave the usb cable from phone then i will have to Press Volume up +Volume down + power button then will have to leave volume down button and still keep press Volume up+power button is it right..? Then i will be in the recovery mode then i will have to swip screen then Goto format data 2 times then go back to the recovery home screen then go to the SD card select SuperSu then swipe to Flash after Falsh i will have to reboot then I'll see Supersu in my Mobile right Teacher @travis82
