Those profiles are for the OP3.
The OP3T is not supported,yet!

Any screenshots with battery stats?

I'm trying it. Flashed the file 2 hours ago and no errors, bootloops, crashes, force closing app etc. for now. Will report battery stats tomorrow because I have to fully charge my phone first. Just to mention : AFK (that for now is only for op3) is coming soon for op3t too

Lol the phone used in video is op3t

Please someone revert back if they are getting insane battery life as shown in video. I'm unsure to flash it as of now.

[!] [ROM] JustArchi's Mysterious builds | Beta testers needed! ;)

Welcome .
Here you can download my two self-compiled Omni builds, used as a base for ArchiDroid 2.X.
In comparision with official nightly:
a) Added Dark Omni (TRDS) [WIP]
b) Added All Animation Control [WIP]
c) Compiled with Google's GCC Toolchain 4.8 (instead of original 4.7)
The only difference between these two builds is one mysterious change, not listed above, which will be revealed after a week of blind tests.
It's up to you to decide which build performs/works better.
Some notes:
1. As stated above, both builds are compiled with the same toolchain. So it's not a toolchain-fight.
2. Kernel isn't affected in any way, feel free to change kernel to anyone working with official nightly OmniROM, including Boeffla, Yank, Devil, Googy, or anything you want.
I listed 4 categories in the poll:
- Performance
- Battery
- Stability
- Overall / Your Choice
Please select which build works for you better in every category. If you can't feel any difference you can select both choices, or noone, up to you.
You have one week for tests. You can test these builds through any method you want, any benchmarks you want and any placebo you want . Just please, spend at least some time with every build before judging. It's important for me.
Mysterious Build #1
Mysterious Build #2
Have fun.

Looks fun. I will give it a try.this weekend.
I'll give it a try without a full wipe.
Do these come with gapps (suppose not but rather ask before others do)? @JustArchi Did you feel the difference?

I can't tell you my thoughts, as this is the whole purpose of testing. No, it's base only, about ~180 MB flashable zip. The same as Omni nightly, just with 3-4 additional modifications.
archi want me to test it also on f2fs file system or its better not to do i am pretty sure i can find the change or tge addon..

You can test it on f2fs as well if you want, just keep in mind that this ROM does not use f2fs-friendly method, as all changes to Omni are listed in the OP.

Both of these builds have 3 changes listed in the OP.
One from these builds has extra one mysterious change compared to other one. This is low-level change, which affects the overall system and will be revealed after tests.

For android 4.4 but it should work with 4.3 (untested)
Loving the latest Kernel mate, nice work.
I can quite agree with Nvidia making modding this tablet hardwork with their sources being like they are.
Whats even better with this Kernel is we can now have Custom bootanimations without it hitting the dam /lbh partition for it. So now i have a Android L Bootanimation lol

[Q] best kernel for performance for Cloudyflex 2.6

Hi,
Is the cloudy kernel the best for pure performance in terms of lag? Not looking for battery or other performance enhancements.
Is cloudy kernel 1.5 the latest ( just to make sure i have a backup kernel to re-install just on case)?
Is the tweak on hidden menu for HIGH TEMPERATURE still relevant with these kernels?
I am running with ondemand governor.
And just to make sure:
- to install a new kernel i just boot to recovery and flash the kernel without any wipes, right?
- i have xposed and some G2 tweaks running, i don't need to disable/reset or anything?
Thanks for your help! I am still learning.
Nico.

Hello Nico.
I'm hoping that I can assist you with this topic.
First off, regarding the kernel you have plenty of choices. There are two, however, that I'd recommend.
1. Dorimanx Kernel. That kernel is absolutely amazing with LOTS of tweaks, thermal protection, ad-blocker, allows overclocking to 2.8Ghz and much much more. I can't list all the features because they are so many. But there's one thing in particular - it's fast. Dorimanx has created a hybrid kernel from 3.4.xxx and 3.10.y source codes. This is my go-to kernel.
2. Bruce Kernel. It's a modified stock kernel with Bruce's own tweaks. It's fast, very battery friendly but lacks customisation. It also doesn't have thermal protection or any thermal throttling.
Now to your other questions:
Yes, Cloudy 1.5 should be the latest.
I wouldn't mess with the ROM thermal protection found in hidden menu. The gain in speed is most likely negligible but you make your phone more prone to heat damage.
Ondemand governor is great for smoothness, but you'll have a ton of options if you decide to use dorimanx. I use alucard because it's the sweet spot between amazing battery performance and smoothness.
You can install a new kernel without any wipes. Kernel doesn't interfere with ROM as such and you don't have to disable anything. A Kernel is basically what makes software and hardware work together.
I hope this helps!

I just flashed Dorimanx, and without knowing too much on how to tweak it (more on that later), it is really smooth. I am keeping it!

Thanks. Flashed perfectly, twice (I had trickster mod on and wasn't sure what it reset at boot, so uninstalled it and re-installed Dorimanx.)
Got 1040/2900 on geekbench even if that is not really what I care about. I had 950/2750 before, not that much noticeable difference in %.

OK, we're onto kernel tweaks , I have a few questions:
I discovered that I had STweaks installed, so let's use that.
1) Apart from governor alucard, what other settings should I apply? You mention thermal controls. I expect the defaults of STweaks are OK? If not, what should I do?
2) I found a GPU governor, should I do something there to have better performance?
3) my real goal is to achieve super smoothness when interacting with the phone, I don't play high CPU 3D games or anything like that. I want the phone to react instantly when I press somewhere or open something or press home or recent apps. Any advice? I modified touch boost frequency...
4) if I "reset settings to default" in STweaks, will it reset to Dorimanx' installed default as I just installed the kernel?
5) so that I don't bother anyone anymore, is there a manual about all these tweaks in Dorimanx/STweaks?
Thanks again so much!

I use 2x intelliactive, 2x alucard, alicard HP, max freq 2.3, 2.3, 1.9, 1.9, gpu 100-533, i/0 read 1024, dirty tatios 5%/10%
Your settings look interesting, you sure you get great battery life? With 2 cores min? I am going to try
No mate, I said that's settings for u, u said u don't care about battery, so I tried to give u the best settings I can come up with for performance, I myself use 3 cores max, all 2,3 ghz 1 core boost, Alucard on-demand Alucard. 1024. 100 320 GPU. It's pretty smooth with art. But if I wouldn't care about battery, I would do the settings I told u. Hehe

no worries!
I learned to care more about battery I realized that it is really smooth anyway. I have a lot of SOT daily (movies, etc) and realized that using performance settings just drains too quickly and is not needed.
I do put animations to x0.5 (transition animation to OFF).
What I am really struggling with is home redraws... A bit better now, but they used to be 1000x times a day.
I would run with ART but it takes a lot more memory, and with my 16 GB I don't have enough memory left when running ART.
Buddy, I am on 16 too. I had 8.5 hours sot with art and cloudy 2.1!! I use nova launcher and I am happier with it can give it a try

I have a few very large apps (navigon, games,...) they take 2-3 GB.
I al so have movies, remaining is only 1.3 GB.
If i want to backup ROM i need to delete obb files, etc. With ART i will have nothing left!
Tried niva but didn't like it. Will try apex again maybe, but i really like the look of G3 home.
Hmm, I see. I didnt know that internal memory and has a thing to do ART, I just made it ART and everything was ok. Launcher is a matter of taste I guess. For lg launcher, I read that there are some hidden settings to lock it in RAM, so that it doesnt redraw that often, maybe u can take a look for that. Hope to share more information for better experience with our phones
@bloof I forgot to tell, I also like how g3 theme looks, and I use a g3 theme with my nova launcher. If pm me ur gmail, can send u my screenshots

how to increase battery life by 25%

It is simple, tested on my nexus 6, just go to system/bin and delete mpdecision, then install an app that controls kernel, like kernel adiutor, raise min freq of cpu to 883000 mhz, then set apply on boot, reboot phone and enjoy lagfree and smooth super battery life
you are my hero

Isn't enough to just turn off mpdecision in the kernel app?
this only works for stock roms? I can't find any mpdecision file on /system/bin

works on all roms for nexus 6, some file managers cant see mpdecision in system/bin, try it in recovery using twrp

Can you tell me if it's the minimum CPU frequency in the CPU tab or in the CPU governor configuration?

Disabling in a kernel app will accomplish the same thing. The reason you are seeing a change in battery life is because of the 3 second input boost of MPD. Most of the custom kernels have a generic touch boost driver that is set to 1 second or less to take the place of the mpd boost and increase battery because of the decreased boost time.
MPD works great for some people and not for others. It is greatly dependent on your usage habits. For my typical usage, with mpd on, I average 6-7 hours of screen on time. If you are a gamer, where you are constantly touching the screen, mpd will adversely affect your battery life because of the constant boost.
As a kernel developer, I definitely would not recommend deleting the mpd binary. I would suggest trying a couple of different kernels and/or configurations to accomplish the same results.
lol.. seriously? i guess thats one reason that ive disabled mpdecision for the last 3+ years on whichever nexus i was on, but not the main reason
How can I turn mpd off on ex kernel manager
you don't need a kernel app to disable it BTW. all kernel apps do is provide a ui for you to use. it can be done via a terminal emulator app.. type,
su(press enter)
stop mpdecision(press enter)
and that's it.
I'm using kernel auditor and in the CPU hotplug section the first listing is mp decision. Is that what needs to be disabled?
OK, silly question.. do you know what mpdecision does? do you know what disabling mpdecision does?

@simms22 good point here. This is good for everyone to know. If you disable mpd without a replacement, you risk all cores not coming back online after deep sleep. Mpd doesn't actually control hotplugging, it controls input boost and onlining of cores.

and that's exactly why I disable mpdecision, so I can have all 4 cores active at all times.

When you say without a replacement what are you referring to? Trying to learn here..

A replacement such as Zen, Mako, Blu_Plug, etc.
Also, (just an FIY) Zen isn't really a hotplug (it keeps all four cores active at all times, unlike Mako, Blu_Plug, etc). It's still lumped in there for some reason.
I highly recommend disabling MPDecision. You know what MPDecision stands for, right? MakePoor Decisions

I'm running elemental x now and I can't find mp decision on kernel auditor. Do you know if it is included with this kernel? If so how would I disable it?

i believe its already disabled in elementalx kernel. anyways, you can always use a terminal emulator app, then type..
su(press enter)
stop mpdecision(press enter)
thats all. all kernel apps do is give you a ui to whats already available.

Some kernels come with it already removed. Check the features section of the original post in the Elemental X thread or try searching the thread.
I can say from experience that Kernel Auditor doesn't give you access to all of the adjustments in Elemental X. Some features are only accessible through the official Elemental X app, so it might be there, but you can't use Kernel Auditor to adjust it.

I don't believe it work. Two different devices with differences in kernel maturity... Change that. I know it won't
It's not up yet ? I have tested both boeffla and bluspark kernel, and boeffla kernel's gaming performance it pretty bad

It is not my target at all, as I am not interested in gaming.
However, with some settings changed people can do proper gaming too. I just say that based on feedback, as said, I could not care less about things like gaming...

post 2 I cannot find any link for profiles
Swell-V8
Hello everyone,
I finally managed to produce a profile that for now, I feel is perfect. There are several tweaks for fluidity and the like I'm sure the rest of you will enjoy. I made this for daily use however altering it for gaming or battery life should be pretty easy and require only a tweak or two.
This profile was made with external storage in mind so I highly don't recommend you use adopted storage with it.
Enjoy!

Further optimise zzmoove
Any recommendations on defaults is welcome
SwellBatteryV2
This profile tries to retain fluidity for basic tasks however may suffer when used for video playback, and daily use
SwellGamingV2
Pushes the device to the max, however battery life takes a significant hit
SwellModeration
Aims to optimise for and maintain performance for most scenarios however remains battery friendly

Thanks. Will add to the post once I am on laptop.
Just a suggestion, in your profile updates or so, please give screenshots of profile too, so that people can check if it has been applied properly... Also, a small description about how your profile works might give to knowledge to learners *just in case* ?

Hehe don't worry. Your app works perfect.... The main reason for me requesting to give screenshots was that some people want to apply only some parts of a profile and thus it will help them.
Sorry, if I didn't say it correctly.
