Today i found an working UPGRADING Method of Pakistani Huawei Honor 4C
to LOLLIPOP
yes you heard right, Pakistani 4C to Lollipop...
Prerequisites:
First of all, You should Unlock Bootloader, otherwise all this process is impossible. for Unlocking Bootloader, Follow this thread [/COLOR][/B] Honor 4C Root+CWM(KITKAT) Recovery & Bootloader Unlock by @HassanMirza01
Prodedure:
Now when you have unlocked your bootloader, you can go ahead.
You need to Move to another Rom first whose Link is this,
1st ROM, dont Worry if Language different. Just download it
After downloading, Unzip that zip file and you will get a dload named folder inside it.
Make backup of any type that you want.
Now Move dload folder to Root of your SD Card and go to Settings>Updater>Local Update and flash full Package.
After Upgrade, Your recovery gives an error, but Dont worry about it, Just do these things, factory reset it from that screen, then wipe cache partition. and reboot... your good to go now...
After switching on the phone, download the another ROM which is LOLLIPOP ROM and now its compatible for your ROM. Here is Link..
2nd ROM, LOLLIPOP ROM Final and decryption Key is !ldp5f_t_y7JaPIjCRugiYuS3QOHezIWgQoC2RwCCjrc
Do the same again which you did widout any worry... after it, no error in recovery will come but you have to manually factory reset and wipe cache partition of it by switching it off then pressing volume down and power button together sometimes, when recovery came, wipe and factory reset it and REBOOT and BOOM, You got your Lollipop ROM in your Pakistani 4C...

hi bro I tried it ans installed but my concern is that it shows 4G and after foemat data and clearing the cache it showed only 2 icons on main screen i tried to reset it but it failed on 95% help me. now google play store is closing when I open it automatically
Its Emui based stock Lollipop Rom... From huawei... Nd reset it before first boot.... Try flashing it again...

I tried still it says version and build no not verified ,software upgrade failed ....
It is saying for gplay mini ROM and lollipop rom.
Its not force upgrading.

An indians dont need to flash 1st Rom which is G PLAY MINI's ROM,,, they should flash lollipop Rom directly wid stock Recovery,,,
and @ashripat , Try the Method using C185B120 build,,,, i have done it on this build,,, on B120, flash the g play mini's Rom and then lollipop rom,,,,, also now, pakistani Lollipop Rom is available,,, get that and flash on paki rom,,,

Hello guys,
I finally succeeded to have lollipop rom ,this was possible due to developer Inshaalmirza for his rooting,unlocking and flashing recovery tutorial and finally developer Worstenbrood for huawei update extractor tool and tutorial.
Guys if any of you have problems regarding flashing manually or your system saying check version failed you can do the following steps...(note your phone must be unlocked)
1)Download the stock roms(kitkat or lollipop) extract update.app ,now install the huawei update extractor app and extract the update.app as per tutorial explained by Worsternbrood ,you will have every partition with file names.
2)After extracting you will have 2 recoveries ( file named recovery & recovery2) extract recovery.
3) Create a dload folder in SD card and add the appropriate update.app either lollipop or kitkat whichever you have to flash in it.
4)Now factory reset the phone and flash the extracted recovery as per tutorial explained by Inshaalmirza.
5) Now press the volume up ,down and power key together and viola the update.app gets fashed.(Note for kitkat flash kitkat recovery and for lollipop flash lollipop recovery)
Working and tested for versions C636B070 & C636B160.
Request to developer Inshaalmirza to add or make changes if he wishes in the above tutorial and add in OP.

I tried to change this file from flase to true but after reboot it revert back to false
@ashripat in your post,,,, mention that no need to extract stock recovery using update extractor!! Bcoz the stock recoveries for kitkat and lollipop Roms are already present in my other threads of custom recoveries for kk nd L,,,

I got a new honor 4c (Indian) yesterday. Downloaded the official lollipop from honor site and the installation failed ( was on C636B070 version).
I tried again with the middle_update update package and this time it succeeded.
After that I cannot apply any update or even boot into recovery for factory reset.
Please suggest any workaround as I don't want to root and void my warranty

1 create TWRP efs backup
2 wipe phone( all partitions you can, but no SD )
3 install no verity opt encrypt 6.0
4 download my zip and install it , dont do anything after it. just reboot. it should reboot.
5 if you have no Network take a efs twrp backup from before. after restart you should have Network.

Where is the source code to this?
How do you get GApps on this?? I tried installing them, but when I try signing in with my Google account the screen goes black and never loads.

How I can install it? If I install TWRP my knox will be 0x1 !!!
How do I install it correctly TWRP and save knox 0x0?
Specify the first source this ROM. Write clear instructions and screenshots for all users. If you post Boot.img give it a precise description of how it works and what it does.
Thank for the ROM, after test the ROM for 3 days, i found some issue with this ROM :
- Somehow the phone work a bit slower than stock rom.
- The notification still have the Date in Chinese.
- SoulTweaks somehow not work so that I can not edit the phone.
And there is an update for this ROM with the name [ROM][8.0]S8S8+835_Norma-RD8_2.0.zip release on 05/10/2018. Would you mind post it here please ? Thank you.

Hello I succeed in rooting my phone a few days ago but some moto fonctions doesn't work well (fingerprint,rotate,moto display stop each time)and I couldn't desinstall apps ans install theme icones while I was superuser.So I decide to restore stock and reinstall TWRP and supersu.But TWRP doesn't load after to start phone and I tried install many img with any problems (see OK all time) but Twrp menu never appears (maybe a pb due to Elementx install for rooting before? I don't now for the moment).I'm looking for......
What surprises me is the fact that I always have "status modified" on bootloader while it would be "official".And It is in yellow as when Twrp was installed.Restore stock doesn't erase all datas for custom recovery?Stock works normally.Did Twrp removed completely???Did you have an explanation for tis issue?
My stock firmware is which I downloaded from motorola website.I attempt factory reset,wipe cache etc .....nothing
I would try another method to restore (with 2 others firmware).

You can flash latest official firmware that is posted in second post to solve firmware related issues..
After flashing, you will not get official status back, it will remain modified..
To get official status back, you need to have OTA update, which is possible only when Motorola releases OREO or SECURITY PATCH, but currently no any method will work... (Also not sure about security update )
NEVER DOWNGRADE AND TAKE OTA UPDATE, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.
I forgot to precise I was under Android 6.0 (MM) but it 's frustrated I don't have a signature now.Ok I had to try to update to Androit 7.0 (Nougat) but it failed.I restore a stock and update it with OTA but it doesn't install it.
So I reinstall one more time but I flash partition and bootloader with one tuto of XDA even if it isn't advised.
I think install of Elementx has caused troubles because Update and Twrp install worked perfectly before.

my phone was running resurrection remix 7.1.2 with no issues i thinked of installing note 7 ported rom on my phone my phone has TWRP 2.8.7.0 installed with aroma support and my phone varriant is LTEXX i downloaded MAGMA NX and flashed it without any issue but after reboot it got in bootloop even it wont display boot logo i tried again wipping dalvik cache but still it wont boot up then i flashed phantom kernal and flshed magma again but no use, i also tried Note 7 port by Dark Lord having builtin kernel in rom it was also Aroma Supported it also installed without any error but after reboot from twrp it stuck in bootloop, kindly help me what can be the issue? how can this be solved

i always read faqs, requirments etc before flashing any rom, i downloaded rom which was for my phone and also flashed kernel given by developer of that rom but it stills fails to boot up after succesfull aroma installation i used twrp 2.8.7.0, i also followed tutorials on youtube which also failed.
Ripee & Lord Eko seniors members of xda told that i have a odd device when i was trying to flash twrp 3.0 it also wont boot up after flashing they said by device bootloader is stuck with LP bootloader and only way to flash newer android version is that you will have to flash modified version of twrp 3 by Ripee senior xda member which will only be able to flash Ressurection Remix OS 7.1.2 but will not be able to install or use newer version than Ressurection Remix.
then i thinked of installing MAGMA NX so i flashed twrp 2.8.7.0 from official twrp website as only this version supports aroma installation and was also suggested in tutorial but all what i got is after installation boot up fails and keep restarting.

Hi,
Running crdroid, I just updated the firmware. This worked.
I tried downgrading, which resulteded in a bootloop...
However flashing any combination of the correct firmware & OS (including flashing complete miui ROM) results in bootloop on screen redmi by Xiaomi. Only recovery / twrp works.
Would be glad for any suggestions.....
It's a feature of the firmware, if I'm right, It's rollback protection. Sadly, only service employees (and special authorized MiUI account owners) can fix it. FeelsBadMan. It exists to stop retailers from installing custom firmware before purchase.
OK. Got the situation sorted with flashing through fastboot following instructions here (complete flash, link below includes links to tools and proper ROM). Need to completely flash the phone but not to lock :
