my phone does not show any busy alert (smth like "number busy"...) and does not play busy tone to speaker when calling to someone who is on call (busy) at that time. The call ends without any sound or visual notification. any solution ?

On a smartphone 2003 device.
I am playing a fairly big wave file (approx 30 secs long) in a standalone app. When i get an incoming call/or place an outbound call using default Phone app it disables the speaker (I am guessing may be by sending an AT command) hence the wave file is not audible for the time that the default app is in focus/active.
Is it possible to do one of the following
1. Turn the speaker ON while phone call is in progress, so that the wave file being played in the stanalone app is audible.
2. If it is not possible to turn on the speaker while phone call is in
progress is it possible to figure through some API calls as to when the
speaker would be available again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

And it is not an "AT" command. Speaker is electrically switched off

Is it possible to query the availability of speaker using an API call?
You can determine that the call is in progress. If it is - speaker is unavailable for playing sounds. I don't remember the exact API, read TAPI documentation. And on some devices you have to reinit wave IO after the call is finished.
I want to change the sound of the outgoing call (the sound that is heard when you initiate a phone call). For now it is quite beep. I want it to be strong sound so if an unwanted call is initaited at least I will be able to hear it. Any registry twicks for WM5 ?
And another thing. Is it possible to to have a diifrent ring tones for Video Calls and phone calls ?

Is it a setting that is wrong on my phone or is this how it is. when im in a call, i dont get a sound or vibration that i received a msg or another call
I am not sure if it is just me, but I found that the incoming call wait alert is a single beep as of now, most of the time I will not be aware that there is another incoming call.
Is it possible to have continuous beep sound in every 2 sec or vibration feedback for incoming call while my line is in use?

I have requested in GreenMods pox ROM to add some feature for the call wait. However, till then you can use this app from market. This gives a vibration feedback of call in wait

I Have trouble with WhatsApp calls. When i call ppl or they call me they only can hear mechanical sounds not mine.
I gave phone to quarantee and they changed with New closed box but its same for WhatsApp calls. I made WhatsApp video record with front and back camera all records sound well. I made calls on cellular normal and handsfree all is well but WhatsApp doesnt let ppl hear me even with headsphone.
