After flashing Stock Rom using SP Tool, Will my Warranty works? - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Hey Devs,
Just a quick question. Shall i claim warranty after flashing stock rom? Guess the bootloader will be locked by default and there is no such thing as "relocked bootloader" as in HTC mobiles?
Thanks.

my k4 note is not turning ON
Yesterday i flashed my Lenovo k4 note with SP Flash Tool with given files , after flashing the phone is not turning ON . Please suggest the next step
Thanks in Advance

Hi Kowshik,
Download this file and flash it.
Stock ROM K4 note A7010a48
Try it with your own risk, This worked for me.

I don't think that you lose your warranty unless you lost you serial number by formatting you device with sp flash tool. You can always check your warranty using Lenovo app which is preinstalled.

I can only guess as I am not a developer.
However, I had my k4 note bootloader unlocked and rooted. At this stage, if I boot it into fastboot and run command "fastboot getvar all" then it returned a list of values in which warrenty displayed as 'no'.
Then I flashed mobile with SP flash tool, rebooted into bootloader, ran same command, now it says warrenty as 'yes' and also bootloader as 'locked', not 'relocked'.

No, the only official way now is to request Unlock Permission from the Xiaomi team
- http://www.miui.com/unlock/
i have unlocked using this method from the original thread. works fine now rooted

i think TS should give credit to original thread. thank you
i hardbrick my device using your instructions ((( It is no working for me (( how i restore my device??
error on miflash

It's no official method. Official method is the request to Xiaomi. I used this method by using Win 7 for two phones which were on MIUI 7.1.7.0 Global . And method should be used on only 64-bit PC. There are a lot of problem due to improperly installed drivers on PC or/and due to mistakes in flashing process (not following of instructions). For unbrick I propose to try some methods from Internet (MIUI forum and other). If result will be absent then only test points will help you.

Congratulations!!
You had a soft brick only! It was as a result of "not follow of instruction".
Please, be careful for flashing of MIUI !!!
Backup your EFS guys. I lost mine and still looking for a redmi note 3 qcn file to recovery my network. lol

Yep that what happened to me when I incorrectly flashed it.
I revived it using this method:
http://en.miui.com/thread-245347-1-1.html
It's actually pretty easy than it looks.
I followed your instructions and everything worked fine. If you get stuck in EDL Mode then boot to fastboot or Recovery and do a wipe.
Thank you a lot for this info.
The guy on Miui forums forgot a crucial part on his instructions and it was to enable OEM unlock. I failed twice when doing his tutorial and even hard bricked my phone. Lucky me I had the guts to test point it out from there.
With your instructions I finally did it and can remove this crappy, horrible iOS ripoff that is MIUI.
Also I'll start to give some kernel love to this phone very shortly.
Regards.

Huawei p9 hardbrick, cannot resolve the problem

Hello mates!
Yesterday I accidentally bricked my phone and I spent ours and ours on this and others forums to find solution but without succes, so here is what was happen:
I was on L21C432B380 firmware, stock, bootloader locked, without root acces. So I tried to flash ROM 7.1.2 AOSP by Meticulus. I followed step by step guide. I succesfully unlocked bootloader using fastboot. Then I flashed TWRP again using fastboot so I can downgrade to EMUI 4.X and that was succesfull also. After that I flashed oem-info using TWRP and flashed stock UPDATE.ZIP using three button method, both succesfully but when phone tried to boots up It shows message "No OS installed".
My entire system and data was deleted, there is no recovery, bootloader is again locked, I have only managed to get into fastboot mode using adb
Every single command I tryed to run in cmd results in this message: "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
Somehow I need to install Firmware using fastboot but don't know how cause bootloader is again locked
My knowledge about this things is above average but I cannot "google" the problem
Please help and thanks in adavnce

Hello man,
Dont know why u do that (downgrade to MM)...
Explicitly written for flash AOSP 7.1.2 to be on emui5 (were u was)...
Flashing oem also relocked your bootloader (written ton of times in threads)....
Now using fastboot re-unlock bootloader re-flash TWRP.
If u maked a full backup just use it, otherwise try to follow this guide..

Hope u will resolve.

K6 Note Bricked after flashing boot.img

Hi,
I've tried to unlock bootloader and flash TWRP using this tutorial
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k6-power/how-to/lenovo-vibe-k6-note-guide-rooting-t3602763
After step with flashing modified boot.img on fastboot mode, device bricked and got stuck in bootloop.
I am still able to access fastboot and recovery, but when I try to enter download mode, it shows lenovo logo. Device manager recognizes Qualcom Diagnostic driver when K6 Note is plugged, but QcomDloader can't find phone.
What can I do with that? Is there any way to get out of this with flashing some boot.img or how?
Update:
Problem solved. Flashed twrp via fastboot and installed custom rom. Thanks for your help. Eot.
How did you solve the issue.I am currently facing the same situation.I flashed the boot.img file and the device bricked.I can't install Twrp through fastboot as I'm getting an error message that the system cannot find the path specified.
actually while fastbooting…. I forget to enable oem unlock and now I can only access fastboot mode and recovery...… so please help me in reviving my phone

Please provide us method about to install twrp through fastboot

I have a little problem... Mi9t locked bootloader, bricked

Good Morning
I wanted to flash a Global Rom to my Xiaomi Mi9t. I did this with MiFlash, but i forgot to click on "clean", so the default option "clean and lock" was enabled. It failed to install this version and now the device is locked and is also bricked, it only starts into recovery and fastboot.
I hope someone can help... =)
try flashing the the latest fastboot firmware via XiaomiFlash.

relocking bootloader

Hi,
I am having a problem trying to relock my bootloader.
i am selling my g4, so needed to remove my custom rom, flash stock and relock my bootloader.
I downloaded and flashed via twrp the stock 8.1 ROM on the g4 plus page. ( stock rom in twrp format)
That went fine.
Then I booted into fastboot , and entered fastboot lock command fastboot oem lock
It said the android image was not valid?
So I then entered fastboot flashing lock
it rebooted fine to the stock android , but now the bootloader warning says ''your device has loaded a different operating system'', and thens boots 8.1.
DO you think I should go back anf flash stock rom ( not a twrp flashable version), using fastboot commands, ending with 'fastboot oem lock' ?
Just dont want to brick it, as it is now sold!
Many Thanks for any help
pootler
P.S. the TWRP I am using is a custom one ( i think )

Use LMSA flash rescue option if you have a Windows machine
(Lenovo) MOTO Smart Assistant (PC)
then see

THanks for the reply.
Strange, thought I had already updated this
I went back to stock firmware and decided to flash with fastboot all individual files.
At some point, I got the same ''verification failed' but the command line suggested flashing system, boot, and ( something else, cant remember) again.
i did this this, and this time, no errors occured, and I had a complete install, with a locked bootloader, and no bootloader warning screen.!
Yay - result
Thanks again for your advice - I will remember it for the future.
