Verizon HTC 10 on T-Mobile - Verizon HTC 10 Questions & Answers

So I've spent a good hour searching these threads, and I still can't clear this up. Some people are saying the Verizon HTC 10 doesn't have band 12 at all. Others are saying it does, you just have to s-off to use it. Will my plan enable full compatibility with T-Mobile?
Here's my game plan:
Buy the HTC 10 on Craigslist
Downgrade if needed
Read this thread and hopefully figure out how to s-off with sunshine
Follow these instructions to change the CID
Download the TMUS firmware from the "No Wipe" category of this list, which I conveniently found on this forum that clearly says no CDMA devices
Leave the radios alone, since the firmware from above already contains the TMUS radios?
Reboot and cross my fingers?
Thanks everyone!

I'd just convert to us unlocked

Convertng to US Unlocked is the way to go. Works on ATT. Should work with T-Mobile

Which RUU did you use? I got mine directly from HTC's website (2.28.617.8) and received error 158. Any tips?
Edit: Also my phone is in the update mode with the picture of the phone and a green circle.... I'm afraid to power off

Also some more info - I was on 1.85.605.9 and downgraded to 1.85.605.8. Then, I used SunShine and got S-off with unlocked bootloader. Next, I tried installing HTC's RUU, which failed.
My plan was to install twrp and supersu after getting the unlocked RUU, but now I'm just stuck.
Thanks in advance

Hey! That's the exact post I was following along! Didn't even make the connection - thanks for your help so far. Anyway, I followed your guide until the part you said to download that RUU. I'm on 1.85.605.8, and the one in your link is 1.80.617.1. I was like...ehh better not downgrade, so I used the one from HTC's website. HTC actually gave me a warning (before it died) and said make sure you're updating to an equal or higher firmware. Should I be concerned about using an older one?
Also, flash twrp and supersu before or after receiving otas?
Again, thanks so much for your help! I'm trying my best to search the forums and not ask redundant questions!

Also, use magisk instead of supersu you will be able to keep safety
Net passing, and snapchat, plus get root and all the goodies. You will need a custom kernel though

Okay so I'm asking cause better safe than sorry. When you say wipe everything... is that the normal data, cahche, and dalvik? Or am I wiping system also cause that's like... woah don't normally touch that lol

System, data, cache, internal SD....basically everything but your external SD. Once wiped, go back to the format data option. Type yes, then reboot to download mode. Run your run from there

[Q] Sprint LG G2 Bricked by Custom Recovery

Sorry to bother everyone, but I am in a really sticky situation here. I don't know much about rooting and recovery, and have run into a real issue, so I will try to explain as best I can. I rooted my phone no problem and installed a custom recovery that didn't work at all, so I left it and forgot about it. Today, I tried to update my phone but when it rebooted I simply got the message: [830] Fastboot mode started then below it says: [830]udc_start() and will not advance. I cannot do anything with the phone when I plug it in nor can I access any of the files aw it doesn't seem to be recognized, and when I boot into recovery I just get the screen with the same message. I tried putting it into download mode, but it just said 0% and no messages about drivers or anything popped up onto my screen. I am in a real pinch here fellas, and I really hope you guys can help me out. Thank you all in advance.

Here are a few screenshots that can help you guys identify the issue. First is a screenshot of the lg support tool, which recognizes my phone as a "testmodel"
The next is an image of what happens when I try to upgrade recovery.
Also, the lg mobile support tool doesn't even have the ls980 drivers. Can anyone give me instructions on where to go from here?

I have everything working except xposed. Do you use xposed?
I haven't tried xpose yet but I will tonight I already got a back up just incase. Did it boot loop when you flashed expose or did it just say it wasn't installed on the xposed installer.
asking the obvious here. Any word on TMO?
Downloaded the ruu had a few mishaps till I found the seamless-root latest one. HTC desire 626s boost. Gonna try exposed module. Some programs don't recognize the root fully yet. Don't ask or don't detect it.
Just curious how does the notification/settings tab look? Can you screen shot that also. Thanks
:c

Do you have busybox installed if not make sure you do Busybox is something that you install on your phone to give you some additional handy Linux commands. You need Busy Box installed because some commands are not available to you and you made need them for some root level tasks.
I'm not sure if Busybox is necessary to root, but I don't think so. But many root level apps require busybox, so if you don't install it you're losing some of the benefits of rooting
Busybox is a must. I'm running the version of xposed some recommended in another post for the sprint version work on boost too(framework 79, beta 4 xposed apk). Same company. Was trying custom animations. I believe just the app needed to be updated. All other apps work fine with root permions. 6=0=1 needs debloating. Needs Mordern Jesus.

SWEET, thanks. Was anyone on the stock debloated when they took the update?

After update
Is anyone else getting force closes on like every game they try after updating and rooting/installing twrp and xposed, and fc on some apps or certain options in apps?
I have the Boost version of the HTC Desire 626s, and running the sprint_stock_626s_1.24.651.2_debloatedV2. I was using TWRP, but after problems today I flashed back to stock recovery, but it did not fix the problem.
Update keeps failing. I let it download, click ok and then it says unzipping file. After a minute or so it jumps to 100% and disappears, then another minute or so and the phone restarts to recovery with the red triangle and !. I press power and volume up to get to the next screen and at the bottom in yellow letters in reads..

Right. Upon reboot after hitting start in LGUP, it went to the stock android firmware upgrade screen, said 100% and rebooted . Did a battery pull when the LG logo came up. Put it back in and used recovery button combo (Volume - and Power). Said yes 2 times and it booted to android instead of twrp.

Need AT&T LG V35 firmware dump

Anyone, please help, please use LGUP to do a firmware dump for AT&T LG V35 LMV350AWM
To dump the firmware, use the LGUP from this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=3738917), and use the patched DLL and EXE from this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...5&postcount=23 and use LGUP+V30DLL_PATCHED.zip), and just use the DUMP function. Definitely skip userdata though (I don't want your data, and it's encrypted anyways).
No one can perform this dump for you - it is restricted by the bootloader for all of the non-kdz partitions.
I have with me a full dump from a V35AWM, which part do you need?

No one can perform this dump for you - it is restricted by the bootloader for all of the non-kdz partitions.

Sorry, I can't upload 13GB for you. Which partition do you need to recover?

+ 13GB without userdata, with userdata would be more than 45GB!
I already told you by P.M. that you can't program a single IMG with LGUP, but you can try... system.bin download here.

if this is something related to software issues, I can remotely program this device through download mode

Do you still have the lm-v35awm system dump? If so would you be willing to let me get my hands on it?

I've got an att lgV350, originally locked but I got unlock code from att. Flashed the US open firmware before there was a viable root method and soft bricked my device at first. Since then, through some trial and error I've got it rooted and all running fine, Android nine. At some point my device lost its S/N and is no longer Google certified. It's a rather small inconvenience really but I was hoping to possibly recover enough from the Original att img to restore my s/n or possibly at least get the certified Id fingerprint so I can stop masquerading as a Google pixel for certification. I'd take the whole dump if you didn't mind other than the personal stuff but that's up to you. Thanks for replying btw.
I suppose you entered the code first then flash the open kdz, else would be a brick. You can't restore the serial number or IMEI. You can only do that with your original files.
That is a bummer for sure, thanks though. I actually bought the phone under the assumption it was already unlocked. For one reason or another I believed the person who told me only to find out that it was not unlocked. The first time I flashed it I did in fact brick it. In all my time playing with phones (first one was my beloved LG G2x lol) I've never seen a worse brick. Actually thought the thing was irrecoverable but I did manage to get it working but still locked. I found that for whatever reason flashing to the US open 8.0 firmware the option the unlock came back and then I emailed att with the phones original information, took then 3 weeks and i thought it was denied but sure enough I got a code from them and it actually worked. every single step of the way I thought itt was a goner.
