Huawei Mate 9 Pro arrives to UAE in February 2017

I have owned Mate 9 for almost two months . And sold it waiting for the Pro variant to become available in Europe (waited for a good deal). Surprisingly, our dealers confirmed the Pro with both 4 and 6gb ram coming to UAE in a week from now.
About time to settle with a phone after owning Mate 9, S7 Edge, Note 7, HTC 10, LG V20 and Google Pixel XL.
Mate 9 series to me is a piece of mystery that I always admire.

Take this, wait for 2018 version or take Xiaomi Mi A1? Or switch to HTC U11 Life?

Hi guys,
I am coming from the LG V30+ which didn't really rock me, changed it for a Huawei Mate Pro 10, which isn't really my choice to be honest because of EMUI and the nailed up system.
Now I am thinking of the above-mentioned phones:
Nokia 6
Nokia 6 2018
HTC U11 Life
Xiaomi Mi A1
I'd just like to have a good phone, no need for high end range any more, with a good visible notification light and/or active screen, some big internal and/or SD slot, which gets updates regularly. I do not want to buy some iOS device for some regular system upgrades, I just love my Android freedom, tbh. It should also work flawless with my Pebble Steel and Mi Band 2 or other smart devices.
THank you for your help, I am sick of burning money for the wrong phones

Wait for april, nokia 7 plus is going to be launch, its the best phone that matches your demand
Xiaomi Mi A1 has no NFC, also it does not support some LTE bands in US/Europe. So it depends where you live and whether you use Google Pay. Re Nokia 6 (2018) don't buy Chinese version unless you live in China.

Chances are extremely slim.
Lenovo update metric shows this devices won't get anymore update.
Secondly this phone is now out of sale so even less interest for Lenovo India to work on the update.
Last of all, this wasn't their flagship so their commitment to this phone isn't high enough to release update.
Beside, what ever update they gave were disastrous. ZUI 2.5.104 ST is the worst ROM in any phone I have ever used. Just check the Lenovo forums, so many complaints about so many bugs. Not a single fix. No body cares there at Lenovo
Edit 1:-
About the new phone.
It all depends on how they price it. If they push it against Mi MiX series then price will be closer to OnePlus region.
Success of this Z2 Plus was USD200 or lower (where discount was available) price.
I bought my Z2 Plus 4/64 at INR 10,499, which is roughly USD 150.
So success of this new phone depends on price. And their selling techniques. Again, now a days flash sell is the new norm.
ASUS M1 pro is a Xiaomi Note 5 Pro killer with lower price but alas, Asus too going Xiaomi way of flash sale !!
