There is nothing wrong with your account,
the KEY FACTOR of successful bootloader unlocking is to have the device MIUI version match your device MIUI version on Xiaomi server
If the MIUI version on your device and Xiaomi server are not the same it WILL NOT WORK
Since Xiaomi servers are not (and probably will not be) updated with the correct details of your device, you have 2 options:
1. Your device MIUI version is shown under your avatar on MIUI forum, your are lucky - flash that same version and follow the steps above with the right ROM file
2. Your device MIUI version is not shown under your avatar on MIUI forum - flash DEV ROMs in ascending order, from low to high, untill you'll have a match
Xiaomi doesn't really wants you to unlock the bootloader, it is why they make it so difficult
they have deleted my thread and I know of at least 4 devices who got unlocked with the method above
don't waste your time on MIUI forum so called "toturials", thier whole purpes is to give you a false understanding the fault is on your side and eventually to make you give up
all they say is to wait, wait and more wait - I have waited for 2 months
Good luck!
I'm quite surprised this thread have so many views but so few comments

I flashed it (MIUI V8.1.1.0.MHRMIDI Stable) with the modded emmc file, to unlock bootloader (and Alka recovery).
(Based on this post: http://en.miui.com/thread-345728-1-1.html)
When I try to unlock now (with modded emmc), it says: "No need to unlock this device".
I flashed original emmc and recovery files back (from V8.1.1.0.MHRMIDI), and still stuck on 50%: "Current account is different from the account info on the device."

So you suggesting to flash all dev roms until it works? Sounds crazy, especially since the files are not small.
Any way, how to find the links for all ROM versions ?

Not working.

I prefer to have it UNOFFICIALLY unlocked and end of story! (F*ck Xiaomi permission!)
On every update, I download the full update package, replace the emmc file in image folder and BINGO!
For reference, and modded / unlocked emmc file:
http://en.miui.com/thread-345728-1-1.html

Or even simpler, use this archive:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862693621
How to use: install mi flash if not already installed (included)
Boot to fastboot (power&Vol-), plug the phone on the PC, run the file edl.cmd from the folder fastboot_edl, the phone will boot in edl mode.
Now flash the image with MiFlash.
It will install patched bootloader and latest TWRP ZCX, and that's much quicker than flashing a full rom (take only 10 seconds versus 200 seconds when flashing a full MIUI ROM).
Tutorial (in French but with images):

Guide: How to bootloader unlock your Honor 7 (official and unofficial methods)

All Honor devices currently shipped with a locked bootloader. As long as manufacturers provide a way to unlock, then we're down with that - it helps keep your device secure and means that if you lose it, it's harder for people to steal your data (the process of unlocking the bootloader wipes the phone).
There are two ways to unlock your Honor phones bootloader, which will then allow you to install things like custom recoveries, custom kernels / ROMs etc. The first is using the official Honor method, which is free, and the second is using a third party, which costs €4 Euros, but may be the quickest option if the official method isn't working for you.
The official method
In order to unlock your Honor device using the official method, complete the following steps:
Visit https://www.emui.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail and either create a new account or login with an existing Huawei account.
In the form displayed after logging in, enter:
Your phone model (PLK-L01 for the Honor 7)
Your phone serial number (this can be found in Settings -> About -> Status)
Your phone IMEI1 (this can be found in Settings -> About -> Status)
Your phone product ID (to find this, open the dialler and enter *#*#1357946#*#*)
The captcha code
Press the 'Submit' button.
At this point you will either be provided with a code, or you will receive an error such as 'The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days.' If you get the error, you will need to use the unofficial method below.
Open a command window on your PC / Mac, which needs to have 'adb' and 'fastboot' installed from the Android SDK.
Enable USB debugging by tapping the build number in Settings -> About 5 times, then going back and selecting the option from the Development menu.
Enable OEM unlock in the Development menu.
Connect your phone to the PC and approve the security prompt on the device screen.
In the command window on your PC / Mac, enter 'adb reboot bootloader' to enter fastboot mode'.
In the command window on your PC / Mac, enter 'fastboot oem unlock [insertnumberhere]', of course using the number provided by the Huawei site.
YOUR PHONE WILL WIPE ITSELF AT THIS POINT!
That's it! You're done!

The unofficial method
In order to unlock your Honor device using the unofficial method, if for example you receive the '14 day' error from the Huwei site, complete the following steps:
On a Windows PC, download and install DC-unlocker from https://www.dc-unlocker.com/.
On your phone, enter Manufacturer Mode - open the dialler and enter *#*#2846579#*#*. In the app that then opens, select Project Menu -> Background settings -> USB ports settings -> Manufacturer Mode.
Download the Huawei driver pack from https://files.dc-unlocker.com/share.html?v=share/88D4A98C154D4E19AF9D4A1EF09BA620.
Install the Huawei driver pack by extracting the file you just downloaded (using WinRAR or similar) and running 'DriverSetup'
After installing the driver pack, connect your phone to the PC. In Device Manager, after the automated driver install, you should have no 'Unknown Devices'.
Launch the previously downloaded DC-unlocker application.
From the drop down lists, select 'Huawei Phones' and 'Auto Detect Model'.
Press the magnifying glass icon - the app will then search for your phone.
You should see an image like the one below showing your phone is found. At this point, press the 'Buy Credits' option to set up your DC-Unlocker account and purchase the 4 credits required for code retrieval (this will cost €4). You can also do this directly from the DC-Unlocker website.
After your credit purchase is complete, click the 'Server' section and enter your new DC-unlocker login details. Press 'Check Login' to validate the details (if the server is busy, this may take multiple attempts).
Click the 'Unlocking' section, and click 'Read Bootloader Code'. Do NOT click 'Unlock'. Again, if the server is busy, this may take multiple attempts. The white area of the app will now display the bootloader code. Screen grab this just in case!
Open a command window on your PC, which needs to have 'adb' and 'fastboot' installed from the Android SDK.
In the command window on your PC / Mac, enter 'fastboot oem unlock [insertnumberhere]', of course using the number provided by the DC-Unlocker process.
YOUR PHONE WILL WIPE ITSELF AT THIS POINT!
That's it! You're done!

I think it should work. Let us know if you try!

Unofficial method works for 16GB! But be very careful to click on the right button when you retrieve the Unlock Code from the DC Unlocker software.
I spent an additional 4 euros just to get it right the second time. You need the bootloader code unlock, not the unlock codes.
After that proceed to this link to root the phone. Works even when you have the latest B180 EMU rom too!

same with me..haha
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I read it on the official Huawei site, they will drop the warranty if I ask them for the unlock code. So my question is, if I unlock my device using the second method, will Huawei know that? DC Unlocker get the code from Huawei? And can I relock the bootloader to get OTAs and unlock it again using the code that DC gives me?

YES, they will be able to see that! And no, if you relock your device it is relocked and not locked! You will have a notification about that if you are in fastboot mode! Maybe that HUAWEI deny there warranty but you should have 2 years EU warranty anyway. And last but not least: no risk, no fun!
Probleme to unlock
Problem to unlock because when i'm loggin on it he sent me on a new page of emui 5.0..
Im get stucked on step 12. Dont find adb
I got a chinese honor 8 (FRD-AL00) and im having problems with the official update (FRD-L19C432B131).
It seems that the updates outside China corresponds to other version. Phone has multiple restarts ans errors.
Enable OEM unlock in the Development menu. ( my Honor 8 no have the option in developer )
is there a way to make it so some stuff stays and not everything gets wiped. also im gonna use this but i dunno what im gonna do after to root.
so can someone give me a link to a guide.

Cannot unlock bootloader on Redmi note 3 (Сouldn't verify device)

The steps I followed:-
Step 1. Download the Mi Unlock app to PC, and sign in with your Mi Account;
Step 2. Shut down your phone manually, and hold Volume down key and Power button to enter Fastboot mode;
Step 3. Connect your phone to PC using USB cable and click "Unlock"

Well I tried various rom's, linking my mi account each time with the device and even doing things like making sure 'Find my device' showed I was outside China etc. I did try various unlock tools, But once the developer ROM came out it worked straight away with the MiUnlock 017.1 version.
Note: I had applied and received the SMS from Xiaomi to say I could unlock my bootloader.

If in phone settings ---> Mi Account your device shown as activated and linked to your mobile number then it's really strange.
As an option I suggest to try newer version of this tool. 1.1.0317.1.

Account activation -> finding device on i.mi.com -> applying to Xiaomi for unlock -> waiting about 2 weeks -> switching to china dev rom -> successful unlock.

They do not want us to unlock the bootloader...
They say, "due to security reasons" our customer should get unlock sms, need to use account on unlock tool, use same account on device , try various roms ( including chinese ! ) , blah blah blah...
They want to lock with their OS, monitor customers and make customers into part of their product. Yeah, literally Xiaomi is selling/will sell us.
Thank you Xiaomi.
I successfully unlocked it officially in one go .

I had the same issue with my RN3. Re-checked everything again and found a silly mistake. Before booting into fastboot mode, enable 'Allow OEM Unlocking' from developer options. Then retry the same method by Mi Unlock Tool.
Hit Thanks if I Helped You!!!

It could be that your phone number doesn't match with your Mi ID. I would suggest you to login into your Mi account using your *phone number* and check whether you have the permission to unlock the bootloader on that ID (associated with your phone number) after login. As for unlock tool, it should be able to unlock bootloader on China Stable/Dev as long as it is original MIUI ROM.
If you're getting error at 50%
1. Factory reset the phone
2. Don't set up the Wireless network and Mi Account on first boot
3. After initial setup turn on Developer options, then turn on USB debugging and OEM unlocking
4. Reboot the phone
5. Set up the wireless network
6. Go to Developer options > Mi Unlock status and click on Add account and device then set up Mi Account using account Id (accept every pop-up)
7. Reboot into fastboot and try to unlock your phone

I am not a developer, just an experienced (?) user. From now on, you can only find quotes. if there is anything written italic inside, i have changed these informations. You can find the original informations by using the given links. If i violate against the rules, i want to excuse my behavior. This thread is created to help everyone, making it easier to get a nice experience with our Honor 8.
Summary:
1. get your Bootloader Unlock code
2. Install Custom Recovery (TWRP) + SuperSU
3. FAQ
1. get your Bootloader Unlock Code
first step:
quoted from @paulobrien
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/guide-how-to-bootloader-unlock-honor-7-t3328603
The official method
In order to unlock your Honor device using the official method, complete the following steps:
Visit https://www.emui.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail and either create a new account or login with an existing Huawei account.
In the form displayed after logging in, enter:
Your phone model ("FRD-AL10" for the Honor 8 4 GB Ram / 64 GB Rom // or maybe "FRD-AL00" or "FRD-L09" etc)

If the link above is not working, you can use this link:
https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
The "new" unofficial method. You have to pay 0,99 € to get your unlock code. (Google play)
DC Unlocker created some apps:
It seems, this one is created to read your bootloader code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dc.huaweibootloadercodes
Follow the Tutorial posted above, but instead of installing DC-Unlocker you can use this app.
Confirmed by User @nudi (Post 38)
There is also an unofficial method. You have to pay 4 € to get your unlock code.
In the command window on your PC / Mac, enter 'fastboot oem unlock [insertnumberhere]', of course using the number provided by the DC-Unlocker process.
YOUR PHONE WILL WIPE ITSELF AT THIS POINT!
That's it! You're done!

3. FAQ
I cannot start recovery after installing TWRP
>> ( @X04D ) Use "Power + Volume Up" to get into TWRP Recovery.
>> ( @Kikito94 ) Try to restart into recovery without USB cable connected
>> ( @spotting ) In my case both tips did not help. I've tried this image:
>>> USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK <<<
I've also re uploaded the version of HRT-Team from Huawei Club:
http://workupload.com/file/mAWV8Uq
I cannot use SuperSU / install Busybox
>> ( @spotting ) you have to "Trust" SuperSU. Open your settings, go to permissions manager, find SuperSU and activate the option Trust this app
After Unlocking the bootloader, i see a new screen at startup: Your phone is not safe ... Can i disable this screen?
>> ( @spotting ) no
After Unlocking the Bootloader, i am not able to login into my Huawei ID. For Example i am not able to download a new Design.
>> (@ ???) Huawei is offering their services to a specific location. After a you have unlocked your bootloader, the device has made a fullwipe. After a wipe, you have to reconnect with your Huawei ID >> from your registered location <<
Install ""VPN1Click" from playstore. Go to "airplane mode". activate Wireless Lan. Start VPN1click and connect to your registered location. (for example Hongkong!). Login to your Huawei Account ... disable VPN, disable airplane mode ... everything is working now.

Once DCUnlockr supports the Honor 8 (which it may already) you'll be able to unlock with that (unless Huawei sends you the unlock code but a lot of users never got an email) Then simply fastboot flash the TWRP made for your Honor 8 (it's Multilanguage) and then do a data wipe (format data, type in yes), then reboot recovery and flash SuperSU 2.76. Then you'll be rooted. I'll modify the boot.img if you guys want so it doesn't force encryption so when you go back to stock you won't have to wipe your internal storage every time.

I do not think it actually support it...I'm charging up at the moment. But indeed, honor has not gotten back to me regarding unlocking my bootloader. Have it on charger now will be trying out DCUnlockr support here in a moment.
Update:
I stand corrected, seems it was made compatible with DCUnlockr 8/18
Thanks everyone, that's kinda of exciting, I can't wait see what the future holds for this phone, thanks all of you guys for your time and efforts.
I cannot, for the life of me, activate my Club Huawei account to move beyond the first step. The account is created as it shows to currently exist when attempting to register, but logging in does not work, nor does attempting to activate the account from the automatic email after registering. Not a good start for this accustomed Nexus user.

Try using the Chinese version of the same website with Google translate.
I have had success doing this, for some reason, Huawei's US portal is disabled.
I will get my Honor8 tomorrow.
I am not able to find download-links for TWRP and Supersu
Has somebody downloaded yet and would upload them here, please?
So I can try root shortly and give a reply, if it will work.
Thanks.

Flashed it and it's working so far! Just doing a backup to verify.
I tried to flash both TWRP via fastboot to my H8-FRD-AL10.
Data transfer is working fine, but always when I reboot my phone I have still stock recovery.
Since I unlocked yesterday bootloaders appears always a new information screen, my device is unlocked and can't be trusted.
Here i have to choose, what I want:
1. Press Power to continue
2. Press Vol-Up for 3 seconds to enter erecovey and restore my device
Any ideas?

Mi 5s (X unlocking bootloader X) and root

Hi guys,
It turned out this script can't really unlock the bootloader. Although I didn't see it, my phone must have come with an unlocked bootloader.
I did another test on the same script but for Redmi 4X and the result was the same - can't unlock the bootloader.
So the moderators can delete this topic as it now serves no purpose. There are other topics for flashing TWRP and rooting the phone.
I am sorry for misleading you guys...
Here's how to install TWRP and SuperSu.
I'm not responsible if you brick your phone or lose data. I did a test on mine and all worked fine.
Info found here - (https://www.gizdev.com/root-xiaomi-mi-5s-unlock-bootloader/).
What you need:
1. Mi Flash Tool - Link(or just the ADB driver - Link)
2. Flasher ToolKit for Mi 5s - Link.
3. USB Debugging enabled in Developer Options
Install the Mi Flash Tool or the ADB drivers. Windows might tell you the drivers cannot be verified. Click on Yes to continue with the installation.
Unzip the Flasher ToolKit files to a folder on your computer.
Start with FLASHER TOOLKIT Capricorn.bat.

Hit Enter and this is what you'll see:
First you need to unlock the bootloader, so click on 3. Bootloader Utility. - This only really checks if the bootloader is locked or not. Nothing else.
The program will inform that hitting Enter will restart the phone in Bootloader mode.
Once there the unlocking will begin and you'll see this:
Now the phone will restart.
Once it boots up Android, you can continue with the next step - installing TWRP. Now it's a good time to transfer the SuperSu zip file to your phone. In Downloads for example.
Select the first option - Flash ZCX-TWRP 3.0.2.X for Mi 5s.
The image will be transferred and the phone will be restarted in Recovery mode. It might take a while to load TWRP for the first time, be patient.
Now that you're in TWRP, click on Install, select the SuperSU zip file. Once flashed, go back to Reboot, System.
If something fails:
-The ADB drivers didn't work for me so I installed Mi Flash and unplugged/plugged the phone in the USB.
Check in Device Manager if the ADB drivers are loaded for your Mi 5s. If you don't see anything saying ADB, unplug the phone and plug it back in the USB. Or try another USB port. Or try uninstalling the current drivers and reconnect the phone again.
-If you've closed the Flasher ToolKit and you try to start it again, but nothing happens, open Task Manager and kill/end task the adb.exe *32 process.
- If your phone restarts in Recovery, but all you see is the TWRP logo for minutes, give it about 10 minutes. If nothing changes, restart the phone by pressing and holding the power button. Have you unlocked the bootloader first?
It might have been a good idea to take a camera and shoot every step of the process, but I was testing it to confirm it's working. Hence most of the screenshots are from the web.
Anyway, that's what I can think of right now. If I'm missing something or you can't get it to work, let me know.
yes do it plz
Yes, it's a great ideea. Do it pls.
it will be a good start to have a guide here, you should give all the ways you know, including the first step to unlock by contacting xiaomi, however if you find a guide for a certain section you can link to it (or copy it and add a link so it won't be broken) .
It would also be nice to have a guide for major roms, with some optional steps that not all are aware of, like switching to f2fp
Should be ready now. The good thing is that you don't need to contact Xiaomi to unlock the bootloader.
ok so i did everything you told me
but i fail
first i press the 3 and everything was ok my device is unlocked no problem and its restart automatic
next i go to fast boot... and when i press 1 its show me twrp is install

Did you see the TWRP logo when the recovery was supposedly installed? Repeat again the TWRP installation and let's see what will happen.

I'd say the recovery image is not getting transferred to your phone. Do you see a confirmation that the img file was sent over? It usually states how much time it took to transfer over.

ok i did it problem was the adb i install naked adb driver its on know...ok so how i install custom rom? its like my other phones but something new in mounting it seed read only ? i had to change that or something? witch to wipe?
When starting TWRP the very first screen asks if you want to mount the partitions in read only mode or full access. And a check box to never show this again. Have you seen that? If not, try to update TWRP to 3.1.x.x, don't remember the exact version, you can find it here, in the Mi 5s section of the forums.
If you get that working, installing a new OS is pretty easy - go to Install, select the ZIP file with the new OS and follow the instructions. You might want to wipe cache and dalvik to avoid force closures after that.
Usually instructions on how to install a specific OS version are found in that OS's forum section.
i all ready do that bye rename and replace the new twrp in the flash kit folder everything is don... what is the best rom right now to install?
That's really up to your preference. I'm on global developer 7.5.25. Some use LOS.
i tried your guide, but i cant unlock bootloader. After i select option 3, the phone restarts and the bunny appears but after that i only receive the message attached.
Can somebody tell me what i do wrong?
What's your current MIUI version?
I'm on 8.2.1.0 and on computer i have Windows 10. I enabled usb debugging and type on add device account

To be honest I'm not really sure why it doesn't work for you. The phone restarts, so you have the adb drivers.
Here's a little something that deserves a shot - the very first post - http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=525726&extra=page=1&page=2&mobile=2
I'd love to hear back from you if that worked or not.
i make a request to xiaomi to unlock bootloader and they aproved it in 6 hours, so i will try with mi unlock tool when i get home today. i keep you informed. thx
In managed to unlock with official metod.
Trimis de pe al meu MI 5s folosind Tapatalk
I've taken a look at the code in the script and this method WILL NOT unlock your bootloader. This is only useful for flashing TWRP and rooting a phone, if your phone IS ALREADY UNLOCKED. The third picture provided in the original post is incorrect and that will not be printed on the screen. The script does not attempt
Code:
fastboot oem unlock-go
at any point.
You will probably have to go through the official unlock process.

[GUIDE] OnePlus 8 5G ..TMobile..(IN2017) bootloader unlock instant

Disclaimer
While I will assist with any issues resulting from this guide, I disclaim all responsibility and cannot be held accountable for any consequences caused by the use or misuse of this tool or process. This method also will wipe your phone, so please back up your data. I also will disclaim any understanding as to why exactly this works, since this method was developed by someone else, I am just listing the instructions on how to use it. With that being said, understand your personal limits and read this entire guide before starting.
Thanks to the attributed users at the end of this post, to find this method we are waiting for years...
METHOD 1:
Part 1: Requirements:
• To follow this guide you will need
A Windows PC
• Latest MsmDownloadTool for Oneplus IN2017 - Link
• Latest version of platform-tools - Link
• The bootloader unlock.ops file - Link
Plug your phone into your PC using a USB 2.0 port (this is important, USB 3.0 has given me a lot of issues and just doesn’t seem to work all the time) and ensure USB debugging is enabled.
Extract the downloaded platform-tools zip and open the platform-tools folder in a command prompt, and Run adb devices and makes sure your device appears in the list.
Next, extract the instantnoodlet_15_O.16_201001.zip and open up the MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe inside the instantnoodlet_15_O.16_201001 folder.
When the application opens, select “Others” under the User type dropdown and hit next. Leave this window and the platform-tools command prompt open.
Part II: Entering Qualcomm EDL mode and installing correct QDLoader Driver
Part III: Flash Stock Firmware
In this section, we will flash the stock IN2017 Android 10 firmware.
Click the “Start” button in Msmtool. This will flash the stock firmware, wiping your data. Make sure you have backed your data up at this point. It will take a few minutes, usually ~300 seconds. Once it completes, it will reboot into factory default android 10.
Close MsmDownloadertool and once you are back to android, unplug your phone and power it off.
Part IV: Unlock the bootloader
In this section, we will flash the unlockable firmware and unlock the device for good.
1. Inside the directory with MsmDownloaderTool V4.0.exe, there should be a file called “instantnoodlet_15_O.16_201001.ops”. Remove it from the directory, either by deleting it or moving it to another folder. Then take the unlock.ops file downloaded earlier, and drag it into the directory and rename it to instantnoodlet_15_O.16_201001.ops . It should be in the same folder as MsmDownloaderTool.
2. Reopen MsmDownloaderTool V4.0.exe and like before, select “Others” in the drop down, and click next. Leave the window open.
3. Hold in the Volume up and down buttons, then plug your phone back in. Keep holding the buttons until your phone connects to your PC as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008", like before. Check device manager to ensure that it’s connected correctly as a COM port. If it boots to android, power it off and try again.
4. Return to MsmDownloaderTool. Make sure the phone is still displayed in the list under the associated COM Port.
5. Click start. The flashing should take about 15 seconds, and when complete, your phone should restart. It will display a message at boot saying “<!> The device is corrupt..” Do not panic, this is normal.
6. Unplug your phone and hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power until the device reboots and let go once it shows the OnePlus Logo and “Fastboot Mode”. You should arrive at a screen that has “Start” in big green letters at the top, and “Fastboot mode” below it, with the very last item saying “Device state - Locked” in red text.
Plug your phone back into your computer.
7. Return to your command prompt window open in platform-tools, and run fastboot devices and ensure your device is in the list.
8. Finally, run the command "fastboot flashing unlock", it should prompt you to confirm unlocking the bootloader. Once complete, it should reboot into Android.
9. Shut the phone off again, and then Hold Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power and let go when the OnePlus logo and “Fastboot mode” shows up on screen. If the final item in the list says “Device State - Unlocked”, Congrats! You have successfully unlocked your bootloader. You can follow your custom OS’s installation guide from here.
If you want to flash back to stock firmware again (relock bootloader), you have to first flash this file (stock.ops) and then flash the bundled stock firmware. It will give a mismatch error if you do not.
So this is essentially the same as the IN2019 guide, just with the IN2017? Sounds neat.

yes. it works after I check allow oem unlocking before flashing the unlock.ops.
and dual sim works on oxygen 11, confirmed using my op 8 pro sim tray.
I see to prevent breaking the dual sim functionality, I have to use custom rom with magisk dual sim patch. But I see the custom roms are now based on oos 12. Can I flash oos 12 first and then to custom rom? will it break dual sim function?
