I was using official miui 8 lollipop 5.1 in my redmi2 prime..I bough join sim orange covered jio sim..it was working perfect..fest gym I can able to change sim and all simcards worked fine on sim slot1. Some days before I changed ROM and changed ROMs often..now whatever I am doing there is no change..only that my own often used jio sim detecting in sim slot 1.if I change other sim in sim slot 1 means it will be showing no simcards detected in both slots..if sim slot 2 only using other sim means it will be OK..signal is there..but no way to use an other sim card in sim slot 1.changed many ROMs..tried imei changing using xposed. Flashed fasrboot ROM official KitKat miui..but whatever issue is still there..I donno what o do now..jio sucks in my hom..i wanna change..plsss help meee....somebdy pls help meeeee..may god vless uuu..pls helo neee frnds

Hi all, got a new i9502 dual sim.
So I have no issues installing roms, rooting or google play store. All that stuff works fine but no matter what I try the second sim slot is not working. I have tried official and custom roms as well as different sim cards.
any ideas?

Did you solve your problem with the 2nd SIM slot?
If not, maybe you have flashed a custom ROM designed for i9500... they're reported to work just fine on the i9502, but since there's no 2nd SIM slot on the i9500, you can't use the 2nd SIM on your i9502 with those ROMs.

Hi, I have the same problem with the SIM 2. And my ROM is for i9502, not for i9500. The options to the 2nd SIM are there, but the SIM is nor recognized.
Did anybody had this problem and found any solution?

I have the latest Quarx CM11 ROM in this device. I had India Airtel 2G sim previously in this device and it used to work without any issues.
After I was forced to replace my 2G sim with 4g sim, the device is not booting up. Booting animation is very very slow and the device will never come back.
If I remove the sim, the device boots up normally. Even it works perfectly fine if I put some other 2G sim.
I tried to change the baseband after removing the sim from the device. I chose south east asia 343_331. Still the device doesn't boot up if i put back the Airtel 4G SIM.
can anyone help me with the issue? thanks

Same thing happened here, have u found any solution, Airtel 4g sim even work with basic phones, but not in Defy. Since Airtel sim is 128k it has more memory than 64k sim, this is the problem and it is not the bug of Rom because slow boot happened in Stock Rom too.

Sorry I didn't see your response. I have not yet found any solution. I am not using this device as it is not supporting any new SIMs. Even I will be interested to know if any solution exists. Probably ROM developer should be able to provide solution. Hope to get some ROM developer's attention to get solution.

Thank you for the reply, however i bought new phone, defy is in cupboard, probably I use it as FM player, Music player in coming days
i m a moto g4 plus user and my friend also recently bought moto g4 plus but there a strange issue with that only airtel sim is working.......tried jio and bsnl sim in both slots but it shows sim slot is empty whereas airtel sim is working properly in both the slots....
Is the phone carrier-unlocked?. Looks like it's not.
I have the same problem here. I flashed my ROM to unbrick my hard bricked device. I have an Indian variant phone. I guess I flashed other variant. I will flash mine with Indian variant and I will let you know about it soon.
To be honest I thought that I messed up with my sim slots after flashing. I will update the thread as soon as possible.

First of all sorry if the thread is duplicate.
I have P8 Lite and couple days ago, I flashed it with twrp on emui 3.1 to Lineage OS 14.1 and got stuck.
After resolving that, I upgraded it to EMUI 4.1 with the thread of AOSPA ROM, now since then whenever I flash any ROM both SIM cards can't be detected.
I said any rom except for B895, which works fine.
Now I want to install those ROMs like RR, or LOS. How to fix that sim card problem?
And yes I have tried alot of ways to fix it, but didn't work. And the device shows both IMEI's correctly but no service. I have only one SIM card and it's 3G, other slot is SD Card which works fine. I have changed sim placement and slots, but won't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

I live in Iraq, and I don't have 4G(LTE) SIM card, only 3G.
is there anyway to fix that? or maybe another rom which work with 3g sim card?

Try marshmallow roms
I am using a jio sim and and idea sim on my phone
Jio is working fine in both the slots but idea sim is not working and when i insert a sim card from other operators it shows different names
Please help me

Would be interesting what device variant, rom version and bootloader status you have.
But it is a very localized problem, maybe users from your country with the same provider cards can help.

My Moto G4 Plus did not recognize the SIM due to poor physical contacts. A single layer of clear shipping tape to the top of the SIM card made it a tiny bit more snug in the slot and then it worked.
