does the rom meant for g4 play will work on all variants of it ? - Moto G4 Play Questions & Answers

hello everyone , Planning on buying this phone . But before doing so , I need your opinion . The rom meant for g4 play works on all memory model , ram variants and also carrier or country based variants too , right ? If it does please let me know . Want to be sure before buying it . Thanks in advance .

Every custom ROM is working in my variant, even the ones expected to work in the dual-SIM. Anyways, there aren't any other problems than no radio if wrong ROM flashed. You just have to flash the right one then.

[Q] What to check before trying a new rom?

Hello all,
I just inherited a Samsung GT-S5360L phone from my father and i wanted to try some roms. Some of the available roms seem pretty cool, but i have noticed a small detail, my phone model ends with an L, and the roms available dont.
This is probably because my cellphone is a southamerican model. So, My main question is, what should i check before flashing a rom into my S5360L in order to avoid problems?
I am mainly worried about loosing the 3G signal (or the whole phone signal) if i flash an incorrect rom. I read some posts that said that i should use a specic CSC.
Can anyone explain to me a litle more about this? Do i need to flash the ROM and my original CSC files in order for the rom to work with my operators, or the process is different?
Thanks in advance.
Solution!
Sir,
You must have bought your Galaxy Y with some Carrier! That why it end with a "L", But that does not matter! To prevent bricking ur phone just follow the correct installation instruction.. If you brick your GY there is a guide in the general section to restore back! Make a Nandroid Backup first of all and then Flash GT-S5360 Firmware (The one preferred in the Rom's installation guide I hope this helps! As much as I know, all roms will work :fingers-crossed:

to ensure installation success please download "Galaxy Toolbox" by doky in the playstore and unlock your network (if it is sim/carrier locked)
then follow all instructions provided by the rom authors to ensure success,
if in case all else fails just reflash to a stock rom via odin, not to worry since any stock rom will do
thanks for the information guys. I know any rom should work, i do it in mi LG Optimus2x but i had a samsung phone before (galaxy spica) and i had some troubles after flashing some custom roms, where i would only be able to have 2G signal and not 3G, or in some cases have no connectivity at all. I will give some roms a try and see how everyhting goes (and do a backup first, hehehe).
thanks again.

Will the 9005 roms work on the normal U.S. 3G/LTE SD800 model phones?

I'm assuming yes, since it's all the same hardware but I just want to make sure prior to posting something from this section, or should I just stick to the T-Mobile forum variant (I have a 900T)? I was able to flash things on the T-Mo HTC One just fine from the international versions, is this the same?
I'm still curious because i want to try the X note rom on my US tmobile phone, anyone know?
Ok well to answer my own question the ROM does work, the only thing that does NOT work is the WiFi which I'm assuming is just a kernel issue. Any help would be great. thanks

Confused About Available ROM's

Hello,
I just bought the S7 Edge last week. I live in Canada and I have the SM-G935W8 model.
I see no references to this model in the available ROM's, only support for the F or FD models. I'm new to Samsung phones, but not Android. I'd like to start to tinker with this device, specifically to root it and install AdAway and to be able to uninstall all the bloatware it came with. My device was bought outright so it's not locked to any specific carrier.
The W8 is Exynos based, just like the F and FD models are. Does this mean I can use any ROM created for those models?
Thanks in advance!

Here is an excellent rom which is fully compatible with the canadian S7 Edge W8 model:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/vr-560-tekxnesis-hybrid-s7e-urv1-00-00-t3357561
The developer of the rom has been developing custom roms for android for close 6 years.
His rom is a full featured custom rom and it's truly outstanding. It's a multi-variant G935 rom.
Check it out, and be sure you create a nandroid backup before flashing, just in case you
want to revert back to your existing rom.

Yes it is, I know that...
But the GOOD thing is that the download link is still there and it even WORKS. (The rom works perfectly for me)
The developers here in the S7 Edge thread have a lot of catching up to do before their custom roms have all the user options
and additional rom features like the TEKXnesis HYBRID S7E URv4.5 5/3/16 935F/FD/W8 930F/FD/W8 UNIVERSAL rom has.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
I guess I'm just more curious and confused about the compatibility of the W8 model. Will the F or FD roms work on it? That's all there seems to be available.

The F and FD most likely will work on an W8 but I am almost certain you will
loose call audio and perhaps even data unless you can find a fix-audio twrp
flashable zip file to flash after flashing the rom.
Good luck,

T-mobile to international ?

Hi, is there any possible way I can convert a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (SM-G928T) from T-Mobile to any International variant ? (SM-G928F/C/G/I) I read that on HTC One devices one could simply change the CID and MID to be able to install different ROMs and firmwares from other HTC One variants without any issues or missing features.
Is there any possible way to change the variant on S6 EDGE PLUS ?
P.S. I can still flash and use International roms on my T-Mobile . But I cannot use the most essential feature i.e. call audio and without call audio my phone is pretty much useless. And there is no fix for call audio on nougat for T-Mobile variant . All I can do is use Khongloi's Roms . I want to try new different roms . Is it possible not to lose call audio and use international roms ?
Watching this, I have a G928T having the same issue with call audio of course using it on ATT though
If u want use other rom not khongloi's rom, u can use his kernel. It's OK!
