Samsung Galaxy On5 "NO OS" !!!!HELP ME!!! - Samsung Galaxy On5 Questions & Answers

I recently rooted my galaxy on5 running 6.0.1 marshmallow and i think the stock rom. I rooted it using odin and twrp. I wanted to use my external sd card as internal storage and I came across root essentials and adoptable storage. It worked well, but after I restarted the phone for something, the phone went on boot loop. I went to recovery mode and accidently wiped the internal storage, causing th phone to have the no os warning. Now if I start the phone normall, it shows the samsung logo and the screen just turns black. Does anyone know how I can install an os on my phone?

Download odin and the firmware for you device
Extract the firmware downloaded ,you will find a file inside, open odin and put the file by name inside the file loader.
put the phone in download mode (hold volume down, power key, home key together...your phone boot in download mode
the program reconize automatically the phone...and flash...you can find a lot of guide on xda [emoji106]

If there are any custom ROMs for your model number then you can flash that in TWRP to recover your device and keep root.
Or flash the stock firmware with Odin, you'll lose root and TWRP though.

Bootloader Unlocked, Lost Recovery

Hello,
Longtime flasher here, but not as familiar with gs4.
My girl has a sgh-i337 that has been boot loader unlocked since day one. It's been on TWRP and slim rom the whole time too.
I was wiping Cache, Dalvik Cache, and System (so no more rom to boot to) prior to doing a rom update and TWRP glitched out while updating partition after the final wipe operation. Screen went black and unresponsive.
Now, the phone boots to download mode only. Will not boot rom (as system was wiped) but shows the samsung custom unlocked logo. When in download (odin) mode, I see product name: sgh-1337, Current Binary: Samsung Official, System Status: Custom CSB_OEM_LSB: 0x30 Write Protection: enable
Universal android toolkit will not show device connected so Installation of custom recovery through toolkit fails.
oddly, ADB will not show device connected so cannot flash rom or recovery via adb though all drivers were updated.
ODIN will show device connected, though (blue Com 4 appears in ODIN when connected).
To recover with odin, can I flash the I337UCUAMDL from sammobile and retain unlocked bootloader?
Thanks for any and all help.

Yes. After you flash MDL firmware using Odin, you can still root and flash custom recovery.
Welp, installed that .tar through odin seemingly successfully. I still see the Samsung/custom/unlock boot screen but it hangs at the ATT boot screen (I let it sit for 20 mins). Any thoughts?

Boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset. It'll get you past the bootloop

Ah, gotcha. That will not wipe SD Card will it? i.e. /data is different than /sd, correct? ...There are vacation pictures on there I haven't backed up yet.
Many thanks again.
If you boot it into MDL stock, you may want to be careful that it doesn't get an OTA update to NB4 and in the process locking the bootloader.
You might be best off flashing the latest TWRP and rom of your choice. Or your girlfriend's choice!

It won't wipe your external sdcard. It will wipe the internal but if you just odin'd the internal is gone already

Thanks Marc,
I'm keeping an eye on it waiting for it to boot so I can turn off wireless and data and root/flash recovery/etc. asap but its not booting. (will factory reset/wipe Data if I can confirm that it won't wipe SD Card)
I tried to make a flashable .tar file from the twrp recovery image and flash with oidin, but it fails.
ADB doesn't seem functional without root (?) so I can't push, pull or flash anything with ADB. Any suggestions on how to flash recovery and rom from this state?

The twrp Odin fails because the bootloader is locked. Use motochopper
Edit, I haven't tried it but it's possible you can use towelroot to root and then flash the twrp image in flashify from the play store

Ok. factory reset. Got it to boot. You were right, though. Odin formatted internal SD card. Once in a lifetime photos gone. Live and learn i guess, but I don't recall Odin formatting the SD card on my captivate when I was flashing that thing. ROM Chefs must have written custom scripts.
Time to look into motochopper loki root and the rest.
Thanks for your help guys.
btw, I have recovered deleted tiles from my PC with a utility that makes use of the fact that, in windows, deleted files are not written over, merely marked that those segments on the drive are available to write over. Do you think the flash memory on the phone would work this way?
Edit: pretty sure root/flashify is how I did it the first time. Will attempt that again.

SM-910U Bootloop after rooting

Hi all,
Thanks in advance for your help on this.. I've been trying things for the past few hours to no avail..
I have a 910U from Hong Kong. It didn't officially receive the 5.1.1 update yet, so I flashed a stock New Zealand 5.1.1 ROM a few weeks ago. I stupidly tried to CF root today without realizing that it doesn't work with the 5.1.1 version.
My phone is now stuck in bootloop. It goes past the first boot screen and reboots after the second animated screen. I tried to flash the stock 5.0.1 Hong Kong rom but I'm getting a NAND write start then FAIL in Odin. Same result with the NZ version. Phone has been data wiped, cache wiped, dalvik wiped.
I have TWRP on the phone but I'm not sure what else to try at this point.
I can boot into download mode and TWRP.
Thanks!

Try to boot into TWRP and flash a custom rom.
After flash back the 5.1.1 rom if you can
I've been trying to push a ROM on to the internal storage via ADB since I don't have an external SD card. However, I didn't have debugging enabled prior to my bootloop and I can't seem to get my device to show online through fastboot.
I'll try to get an external SD but at the moment I'm unable to flash a ROM through TWRP because I don't have one on the internal storage.

If you try to go into mount and enable MTP it will not work for internal ?
Because mine sometime mount both sdcard & internal memory so try with this tip ?

Rooted 6p and while installing custom rom reset to factory settings

hi this is the first device ive ever rooted and so while flashing a rom and trying to get it to work i unistalled the os completely. now my nexus 6p wont go past the google white logo. Is there any way to solve this? I do have TWRP recovery installed and my desktop os is mac. ( if that is required) . any help would be appreciated as this is my primary device and i really need it to work
Install Android File Transfer from the following link;
https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
This app will run automatically as soon as you attach your device to mac.
I believe your internal memory will appear while in twrp recovery. Copy your desired rom to internal memory and flash it.

Lost my charging screen when device is powered off, it boots into recovery (TWRP)

Hey guys,
Not sure what I screwed up... I recently tried installing chainfire root via ODIN onto my Note 4 (trltexx) running 6.x and it got stuck on trying to boot recovery.
Then I flashed back to stock 6.0.1, and rooted by installing TWRP 3.0.2-0 via Odin, then flashing latest SuperUser.
So now I'm on 6.0.1 stock, rooted, but whenever I plug the device in while it's powered off it just fires up TWRP. I don't have the charging icon screen anymore...
Does any body know what partition I messed up and how I would fix that? I'd rather it not launch TWRP whenever I plug it in to charge. (Doesn't do this when it's already on, just when it is powered off).
Thanks,
Levi

Looked into the chainfire root package and saw that it flashes not only recovery but also the cache partition. So I went into TWRP and wiped the cache. Looks like problem solved, charging screen is back.
Hopefully this post helps somebody else in the future!

TWRP won't load

Xt1644
7.1.1 Invicta
TWRP 3.0.3-n4-athene_shreps.img
When I boot (either from bootloader or OS) into TWRP it just hangs on the loading screen and never fully loads. I've left it for upwards of 10 minutes before restarting the phone. Is there any way for me to reflash a recovery image without a computer? I'm traveling and don't have access right now. I looked at TWRP manager but couldn't find my device so I didn't want to risk a brick by trying to install that way. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
my suggestion is
don't mess with it write now .
if your phone is working right now .
as u have pc available . try to reflash it

FLASHIFY app via Playstore can flash TWRP img files--just pick "recovery" for location of flashing. FLASHFIRE can too but not as user friendly.
don't mess with it while travelling
because if it will brick your device then you will be in trouble and it needs pc and other stuffs to flash clean rom

So it seems to be a problem with my external SD card. I flashed recovery but it wouldn't let me in so I started trouble shooting. When I take out the SD card it lets me in.
After this I tried reformatting the SD card as internal storage but it wouldn't let me...
