I discovered this ROM the other day and I'm so happy with it, I thought I should share it here. LineageOS is the successor to CyanogenMod whose development ceased December 2016. Performance is flawless and battery life is excellent. I was experiencing battery drain issues running official CM14 and this ROM doesn't seem to have that problem.

First official build nightly of Lineage OS for our devices probably will be available in about 8-10 hours.
Greetings from Czech Republic.. Finally up and running first official version of LOS on my Redmi 3.. Almost 40k in Antutu Benchmark.. Everything is smooth and really cool.. Just still don't know about battery life

So everything works well? I bought my sister a redmi 3 and MIUI looks good, but in comparism to my Nexus 5 and Nexus 5x the redmi is soo slow (launching google app, opening swiftkey).

Redmi 3S.
Pro/Prime is just a way to distinguish the 3GB variant from 2GB one.

Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro have the same codename - ido. The rom can be used on both devices.
Check out the [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 | ido thread.
Redmi 3S, 3S Prime and 3X are different devices (hardware-wise) with the codename - land, and you cannot use the ido rom on them.

oh okey, thank you so much for those information, now i dont need to go to phone shop to repair my phone. i got wifi problem. all my device can connect to my wifi, but this xiaomi cant. maybe it's the rom. i will try it later.

the bug free build will be ready when you build it. don't ask for eta's.

First of all, Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is Snapdragon 625 & Xiaomi Redmi 4x is Snapdragon 435, so you shouldn't be calling it "aka".
Official Nougat ROM from MIUI or LOS 14.1 hasn't even come out yet(to sum up, Marshmallow ROM still have some bugs) so we can't expect "when" will someone release a what you call "bugfree build". But we are thankful that there's one developer who is working on it.
Bugfree? Never. The released sources are somewhat broken: apparently assisted GPS will never work. Hardware GPS is working though.
For me, MIUI China Stable 8.2.1.0 is almost bugfree

Never say never We are waiting for MUIU on 7.0N, so when that happens I believe many of the problems can be fixed and we can continue going on LoS14 and forward.

I could go on for a very long time about MIUI bugs. I'm going to list only a few of them that bother me daily: the extended notification actions icons are not the right color (white on light gray background, instead of black), battery is worse than 8.1.2.0, the governor sometimes turns two cores off for no apparent reason, and compatibility with some apps is not perfect. Hell, this phone has firmware level bugs that will never be solved.

Assuming Xiaomi actually releases 7's sources.
If you look at current progress in development section it's looking like we should have a good one by the end of June if everything stays on track.

We'll get miui 9 but maybe based on android 6, not 7.Just like now we have miui 8 based on android 7, 6 and i think 5 depending on device.It doesn't indicate the android version, just the UI version.

NO the specs of both the phones are slightly different and their releases are different too.. They will not work. Devs have not mentioned also wheather the Rom is compatible for Redmi 4 Indian Variant.
Redmi 4 is quite a famous and good phone. We strongly need a separate thread for it. Requesting developers... Please.. eagerly waiting for it.

I searched in this forum and haven't seen anyone create such topic which surprised me.. is there anything wrong - as to why the development of Miui 9 for the Redmi 4 Prime (HM4Pro) hasn't started yet? More so, I see Redmi 4X receiving the Miui 9 update. Whats keeping the Hm4 pro miui 9 update?
The china dev should be released in late September or later. The important thing would be to have it based on nougat or it wouldn't be so useful.

3) From late September, 2017

EDIT: Weird.. It stopped its download speed when I got to the middle, from 2.5 mb/s to 3.5kb/s wth? Where did you get this and how would I know this is miui 9? :/

Where can I see the update thread for this? It still has bugs and flaws ofc hehe I just wanna be able to update to latest always.
Attached is an example of the bug, look at the bottom. And like 2mm of the screen at the bottom became black and 1mm on sides and top

It doesn't have most tentative functions of miui9 yet. So, I'd recommend you to stay on RR for a while. And yes, I'm running miui9 7.8.28 now.

I just wanted to look back to my old device forum, it's been a long time since I've been here. Thank you so much for everyone, devs and users who helped me through many experiments. With this phone I learned to develope an android app, testing it day and night.

Which Lineage installed in your side? And what kind of bugs found?
I'm using unofficial 15.1 with no severe bug found until now (~1month usage).

The pro has a different soc, and it's called Violet. The one with the different camera is the Indian version I think, and that one it's lavender with different cameras.
Will it come? This version? on what depends which phones are supported ???
