Problem with my earphones, only with my earphones. (Moto G4 Plus) - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

So, I was listening to music with my earphones on, and a friend calls me on my motoG4 plus, and while we start talking, i stopped hearing anything, so i unplug my earphones and continue my conversation. After the call ends, i insert my earphones again only this time, music played only from my speaker. I have tried many things, cleaning the inside, the earphones' jack, other earphones work on my phone and my earphones work on other phones as well. Also, they re playing music on my phone when they re not fully inserted. It looks like my phone stopped recognizing this specific pair. Is there any solution? What else should I try? Thank you for your time.

No sound after plugging handsfree in mini?

There's no sound at all after I plugged handsfree in mini. When I use handsfree,I can make a call and hear everything properly, but once the handsfree is unplugged,I can't hear any sound while in a call, but the other party can hear me perfectly fine, but I can't hear them. Why so?
A search on this forum would give you the answer. That's because the switch in the 2.5mm jack got stuck. Just play with the jack in and out for a couple of times and all should be back to normal. It's a common thing with some of the Magicians.
i also have a problem connected with the handsfree: when it is pluged only the one speaker is working, but wnen i unplug it a bit it starts playing with both speekers but very low... what should i do?

Seriously broken sound!!

I have no idea what caused this (no drops recently) but would REALLY appreciate some help as my phone is really useless at the moment.
Presently, absolutely NO sound comes out of my phone at any point, via speakers or headphones, except during calls, where i can hear the other person but they cant hear me, i.e. microphone isnt functioning.
I have no idea what causes this, I have done a hard reset and inserted and removed headphones many times.
I should clarify that by absolutely no sound, I mean nothing on the phone works sound wise. You can in fact hear a really faint clicking/popping sound occasionally, but its grey noise, its not really quiet versions of what the sound is meant to be.
Many thanks if anyone can help!
I also made a brief voice recording on the phone and copied it to my PC to find it was blank, so microphone doesnt work outside of a call either.
.. summary: mic broken, speakers only work in a call.
Help?
Bump! Please?
try pairing with a bluetooth headset, you should be ok ... seems your sound driver is corrupt, did you by any chance increrase the preamp a lot in tcpmp and play sound for a while before experiencing this?
Cheers for the reply!
I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary like you mentioned, it just stopped working. I have done a hard reset, wouldnt that sort out a bad sound driver?
And, as far as I know I have no access to a bluetooth headset, why would that be any different anyway?
Is there any chance a rom reflash could help? I'm at last resorts here, I'm thinking about buying a palm!! (for budget reasons)
I will try it if it could work, trouble is the usb port is very dodgy, dis- and re-connects very often, so that could be dodgy for a reflash?
:'( !!
also mine is off!! just hearphone works, but built-in speakers are dead!
PLEASEEE help me!!
same problem occured to me...
if you were using a normal headset and after you plugged it out the sound started to break apart then do the following:
1-turn your media player on and start playing any audio file while volume is at MAX...
2-try to plug it in first and then test if the sound comes out of the headset normally...
3-then plug the heasdset out of the device (not all of it keep some of the jack inside the headset hole) do that in slow motion....yes...in slow motion and try to focus in making the sound goes out of the headset and the device at the sametime....
4-if you managed to make the sound BLOWS OUT from the speakers then the problem is because you plugged out the headset too quickly which generated a shock (actually i dont know if that's the accurate definition)
5- try to twist the headset jack left and right and plug it out gentely while the sound is still going out of the speakers...
and thats it...
hope your device will get well soon

Headphones not detected until restart

Hi,
I plugged in headphones this morning and the music played out of the loud speaker. Tried another pair and still the same. Restarted the phone (with headphones connected) and music started to play through the headphones. However, as soon as I disconnect the headphones I have to repeat the above steps to make them work again.
Has anyone else had this issue and know a work around?
Thanks,
Rich
Guys,
What are the new AKG headphones like quality wise?

audio jack

i am having some issue with my headphone jack , like its working fine if i insert my headphones before playing any song or before receiving any call. But if i insert my headphones in the middle of any song or a call it wont detect it and the music continues to come from the speaker. I am really pissed off with this problem mostly when i am on a call it just doesn't allow me to continue with the call over headphones I can't hold my phone throughout the call i need to use my headphones. please let me know whats the problem and how can i fix this.

Bluetooth issue via calls

many times when I listen to music with a headset and a call comes in, the sound switches to the phone, but the phone shows that it is on bluetooth, in this case I press in vain that the sound comes through bluetooth only the phone sounds, but when I end the call the music continues in earphones. I need to restart the phone and then it's good for a few calls, but after a while this error will reappear. When I listen to music, everything is okay, it just happens with calls. I also tried several earphones, including one oneplus buds and the same. Is there any solution for this?
