Music play lists disappear - Sony Xperia X Compact Questions & Answers

Has anyone else got the problem where playlists created in the music player vanish. Usually after a day or two? It's done it in marshmallow and it's still the same since the nougat update.
I create a playlist and if I leave it playing its OK but once the music player is stopped the playlists gone.

All music players showing partial playlists.

First post here,
I have an atrix on 1.57 and I have a bunch of music on my SD card.
One playlist has about 1200 songs, and just up until about two days ago it would show up correctly.
Upon loading it in DoubleTwist, it only showed about half of the playlist. I'm having the same problem with MIUI music and pretty much any music player I try.
I tried Scan Media and it didn't work. Tried rebuilding the DT database and that didn't work either. Reboot didn't help.
Upon syncing again using iSyncr, the music apps started to show just a bit more of the playlist (maybe another 100 songs or so). Either way, it's still incomplete.
Help!
if you have a .nomedia file in any of your music directories try remove this
Just checked, I can't seem to find any nomedia files at all. Just seeing m3u's and plb's.

Music Playback Issue

Hi All,
Anyone else having issues with MP3 playback using the defaul music player (and also using the Cubed player? About half of my mp3's on the device stop playing after about 1/2 a second. I initally moved my music library via simply drag and drop into the device storage from my Win7 PC. I then deleted the entire library and tried syncing via WMP. Made no difference. Files play back fine using PowerAmp. I'm really digging the new android Music player though, and would love to get it working properly. Any ideas on what's causing this?
Thanks,
Tony

Google play music - Music playback error

OK so here is an odd one, got some music on my phone's internal memory. MP3 Format.
When I try and play it through Google music it give me a music playback error on every track.
If I go through file explorer and click on the individual files then choose Google play music from the pop up to actually play the track it works fine???
Anyone else had this issue?

I'm having an issue with music stored on my phone. Play Music will play the first track but has an error when trying to switch to the next song. Streaming music works though.

I'm just curious to know why in the world the songs available on Google play music on the Web keep getting double or tripled on my phone. I aprocimstely have around 800 songs on my entire playlist on Google music but on my phone it decides that some songs will show in double or triple... Why? Please explain me why?

You should use poweramp its way better and you can delete from there. I don't really know why but it may be categorizing the songs as different categories, artists, genres, etc. I also seen that when adding music that you downloaded from say torrent it sometimes makes double copies of the songs for some reason. I'd seen it happen a lot when I had an iPhone adding music via iTunes and I would have to go through all the songs and search for the doubled songs. But like I said download poweramp find a song that has doubled or tripled and delete the other one or two

The problem is not in the computer itself. It's the application or something. The song is only 1 time in my pc.
Also, does poweramp auto sync with iTunes? Like the music manager does?

it might be seeing a copy on the phone and a "copy" that it streams from their servers.

music player

Hi all, anybody know of a music player that will syce between multiple devices including a pc? I usually use the Amazon music app but they've discontinued music uploads. Amy help would be great thanks.
Google play music is not without its flaws but it will at least do this (as long as you can live with uploading only from the PC or by using workarounds like a cloud storage synced folder).
I never noticed Amazon had disabled uploads for non-paying customers - there were things I liked better about the player, but the free storage limit was too small to be useful to me anyway.
if you use iTunes you can use iSyncr and sync your playlists to your android devices and use Poweramp or a music player of your choice. Poweramp is a top notch player with a high quality EQ btw. I used to use Google Play Music from time to time but it is lousy at syncing from my computer to the cloud and to the phone and tablet. it adds the same albums like 4 times over in the playlists and gets them all screwed up. So i gave up.

This is googles sync tool, point it at your music folder on your PC and let it rip. Songs will be streamable from the Google music app.
