i have been experiencing problems in my country as many others with the xiaomi 3s LTE 3g which make the phone go to "emergency calls only" if you choose any other option rather than 2G preferred. Tried flashing global stable but the problem persists so i want to try a stable custom rom if that works i will keep it. which one you recommend?

any Idea where to find AOSP/CM ROM for Xiaomi Note 4G dualSIM (aka GUCCI)? Many ROMs here are specifically saying they are for singleSIM (aka DIOR). And others dont specify at all. I tried asking in a few threads (in about three) and Im still awaiting response, but I still want to ask here .
Any ideas, please? I would like larger phone, larger battery and dualsim but I dislike MIUI ... Thanks for any response!

i thing its not for this device. You need to search for (phone code name) gucci, not dior! I am looking for this right now. There is cwm, but in Chinese. I found englisth cwm, but i need to test it. CM12 rom is here from this forum.
The mobile data on that CM12 rom doesn't work.
I only have one SIM but I tested on both slots and was not able to get data to work at all.
The only CM rom that I have had any mileage with is the CM11 rom by Ghostly Doctor

There's a bit of crapware in the rom but you can open the zip and delete the apk's before flashing.
The only other issue that I have encountered after ~2 weeks of use is that the mobile data periodically disconnects and reconnects, this would normally be a deal breaker but I just cannot hack imitation iOS on the official roms to go back.
I'm facing a serious problem. Whenever I try to call through my Jio SIM card via VoLTE I constantly lose signal. While calling signal disappears completely on both sim cards, jio and airtel. I'm currently using latest miui 8. I tried using developer and stable MIUI rom and the problem still persists. I also tried using AOSP based ROM but the problem stil persists moreover, on AOSP rom I'm facing random reboots while calling. :crying:

Same is happening in redmi note 3
Hello Everyone, Couple of weeks ago I tried few custom ROMs (lineage, invivta, RR, aosp extended) from here and they're all pretty good. Some have no volte support and can't switch network to 2g. But are there any custom ROMs which have VOLTE support and in which I can change network to 2G?

InvictaOS have VoLTE support and 2g switching(only problem with xt1643 in India, other countries are able to switch 2g)AFAIK, cause Silesh.Nair fixed it. Please search in the rom thread of InvictaOS, you find answers for both problems.
Friends...I use network signal guru to lock jio bands..it was working fine in miui ,Oreo custom ROMs... In viper is it not working.. It show baseband driver not found...any solution???

Try using older versions. I too had the same problem. V 1.9.0 solved the issue for me
I have been informed by my phone service that T-Mobile is decommissioning 3G, defaulting voice to VoLTE. With the sate of custom ROMs, aside from modified stock ones, my S8 (G950F/D running Havoc currently) will stop working properly.
So, why doesn't VoLTE work on AOSP/Lineage? What's missing? Why do some phones, like a potential upgrade for me at some point: the Realme X2 Pro, have working VoLTE (mentioning RIL?).
