Hey buddy, wanted to thank u for the rom suggestion. This rom is flying on my phone! I just wish I could get the google assistant from the pixel phones working. The google now on tap won't work, I believe this is why the assistant is failing. Long press on home does nothing. I been trying to find a fix with no luck.
Sent from my SM-G903F using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Sorry dude @zounduser but i'm not intrested in pixel launcher and compontes try to search in google pixel launcher install,in android apps and games section you may find a fix.
Cheer

Can you install 900F roms using Odin or does it need to be safestrap or two?

"My previous Smartphone(LG-D838) has a poor a android development"... and the NEW one too
For recovery, you can use the hlteskt/n900s version, which is compatible.
Unfortunately, there are no custom ROMs for your variant,
yeah, most likely i have this really BEST luck with me for smartphones that i really do need to suffer.
Darklord S6 ROM was compatible to my phone, but the CM12 has no reply if compatible with my model.
is there a way for me to use CM 12 since my previous phone also has no update for CM12

If you use CM, or any AOSP-based ROM, you won't be able to do voice calls or text messages. That's because of how the LGU+ network is set up in Korea, and your variant is built specifically for that network.

I don't know about Darklord, but I doubt it will work. Make sure you have a backup and stock ROM ready, if you do try it, though.

what is bootloader anyway?
i installed CF autoroot and installed CWM n900s version using flashify.
i cant go on recovery at first using vol up +home+power then i use flashify reboot on recovery then it went bootloop.
after that i installed again the cwm n900s version kk via odin3 and it went ok but the system.ui crashed when i turn on my device.
i go to cwm recovery and wipe cache hoping to fix the problem then the system.process(i think) not responding and displaying black only.
i really want to fix the phone without wiping or factory resetting but panic comes first to me.
now it is ok.
Thanks, just sharing my really scary exp. its my first bootloop.

I tried Kurama's ROM as well. It worked surprisingly well except for no mobile data. I tried flashing louforgiveno's data fix with no luck. I can tell you that it did not like Xposed, either. This ROM looks like a S7 port.
At this point, I'm hoping that a qualified developer will pick up the mantle and bring Marshmallow goodness to our Verizon variant.

I think I've seen where the N910F factory Marshmallow has dropped.
I think the trouble with attracting developers to our phones is that in smartphone terms, these phones are old. Nevermind the fact that the hardware is still competitive with the newest devices. The other issue is that until recently, there were so few phones that could be modded.

Yes wanam separate from 5.1.x and 6.0.x I have read in kurama thread they tried flash xposed from marshmallow with no luck, so line is if you like tweaks and mods remain in a port 5.1.1 otherwise give a try to marshmallow but not xposed....but I'm sure in future wanam will figure it out,

So, if I am understanding this correctly, (theoretically ) I can take any 910f 5.1.1 rom, make the above changes and it should work on the verizon device? Even with them having a different baseband.. i.e. OC3 to our BPA1? Also, for those of us with the devices recently converted to DE.... this will not mess with the bootloader. ... right?
Hate to sound like a complete noob , but it's been a while since I have had an unlocked bootloader. Just being cautious.
Everything should work...and your bootloader will remain untouched.
Very cool. Will definitely trying some. I will advise of and results I find.
Thank you sir.

Will this work on the sm-n900v?
The link to that ZIP is dead. Where can I find the original?
---------- Post added at 08:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ----------
I ended up assuming the was Louforgiveno's Data Fix for Dr. Ketan's ROM. I removed the build.prop file and flashed it, but it made no difference at all. My IMEI says unknown and the phone still reports No SIM.
Zip is gone
Zip link is down. Why would you not attach that?
So far all but the miui rom has worked for me on the 910V.

there are 2 possibilities about flashing g900f firmware on your g900v:
1) it will refuse to flash
2) you will hardbrick
as I said earlier, please flash this to check whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked.

The G900F has an unlocked bootloader - the G900V does not. If it does flash, you can root if you want. If it doesn't flash - all your stuff will still be there.

Need guidance please...

Hey guys,
A year later and I'm still paranoid to root my Note 3 because apparently it's one of the versions that are difficult to root. Here are the specs:
Samsung Note 3
Running Lollipop 5.0
Model number: SM-N900
Build Number: LRX21V.N900XXUEBOL2
Baseband Version: N900XXUEBOC1
Kernel version: 3.4.39-5041972
SE for Android Status: Enforcing
Can anyone please offer me some guidance on how to successfully root it without bricking...?
Thanks in advance!!
Why do you want to ROOT .??
To try a custom ROM, and also to get things like softkeys etc.
Check your custom rom of choice has it got root built in .

Rom custom and Bootloader

Hello everyone,
I own a Galaxy S7 edge which is currently on the G935FXXS4ESC5 Oreo stock rom, I think I have understood that the 4 (in bold) is the version of the bootloader, I also believe that one can not put a stock rom with a lower bootloader, but what about the custom rom ?
When installing a custom rom we are asked via the aroma Installer, if we want to update the bootloader (and the modem) or if we want to leave it as is, can we suddenly install a custom rom with a lower bootloader by choosing to leave it as is ?
Example: switch from this stock rom Oreo bootloader 4 to a custom rom nougat (in this case the Batman rom, I had a very good battery outfit with this rom)
Thank you for your replies hoping to have been clear in my request
