New features in OOS 4.0 - OnePlus 3T Guides, News, & Discussion

So playing about with the new update I have found some new features within settings so created a thread to share and to find any more.
First setting I found was within status bar giving us an option to find toggles to show and hide icons and where battery icons are now found.
Another one is in display> display size is where to find Nougats DPI scale.
Then into sound > audio settings found at the bottom is built in sound enchantment and eq.
Battery settings and under the three dots is a aggressive doze &app hibernation which will act I assume in the same way Greenify work's.
Pocket mode is now in advanced menu.
Please feel free to add any more new settings or tips :victory:

Settings > scroll to the bottom > (whichever button you choose) double tap action or long press action > scroll to bottom > Open/Close split screen
I chose to long press the back button, personally.

Long press on back button is more convenient anyway in my opinion.

Ipad-like mutlitask gestures on lg optimus one

Today I stumbled upon a cool app called GMD Gesture Control, it basically allows you to define global gestures that can be used anywhere and that can do any kind of action, kinda like the "pinch" gesture found in the ipad that closes the current app. The gestures can be defined with custom directions, actions or number of fingers. So you can for example swipe with two fingers down from the top edge of the screen for the device to go to sleep if you have an unreliable sleep button.
Here's the steps needed to be taken to use this app on lg optimus one:
1- Get the app, you can use the lite version for now which disables itself when the mobile is locked and needs to be re enabled, but it gives you a good idea of how the app works:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...dvb2Rtb29kZHJvaWQuZ2VzdHVyZWNvbnRyb2xkZW1vIl0.
2- Launch the app for the first time, it will show an error that the device is not recognized, here you have to override the default settings to support our mobile, you can do this by tapping the "advanced" tab at the far right, then you will find 2 options at the end of the list, enable both by tapping the "on" button. Then from the "Override multitouch device detection" list choose "touch_mcs6000", then choose from the "override touch events parser detection" list the option "HC_DEFAULT".
3- Restart the service from the main "General" tab, please note that I couldn't get our mobile to support more than 2 fingers gestures, keep that in mind when defining custom gestures or choose "single touch gestures" option in the default gestures tab.
Hope that you all find this useful, this app is extremely fun to use to switch between apps quickly, I use a swipe from the left-right bottom corner to switch between previous/next app. You can really create any kind of creative gesture as you like.
This app is incompatible with your MobiFone LGE LG-P500.
it needs version 3.1 and up
upgrade to ics and install

How to disable in-app 3 dot menu button?

WHOLE EXPLANATION: So I notice that in devices like the galaxy s4 or Optimus G, in which they have a capacitive menu button, the 3-dot buitl-in menu in apps is not present (Obvious right?) but the thing is, in those devices, when you hit the hardware menu key, the menu appears on the bottom of the screen, whereas in the nexus 4 the menu appears on top of the 3-dot button wherever it is (the position of the in-app menu button depends on the app), this is annoying me since I have disabled the navbar to get more screen realstate and Im relying on gesture control, I set a swipe up gesture form the bottom of the screen for the menu, and its annoying because even without the navbar, the menus keep appearing on top of the freaking 3-dot button, I WANT THAT 3-DOT BUTTON GONE FROM MY APPS! just like in devices that have a hardware key for menu, that way menus would appear from the bottom of the screen on every app and my gesture would look awesome, kinda like in ubuntu touch, thats my goal.
MAIN QUESTION: How do I disable the freaking 3-dot in-app menu button? which files do I have to edit? Please I do not want to change my current rom for some other one that has this option built in... I just wanna know which files to edit, maybe in built.prop or something.
Thanks in Advance..
Screenshot of what you're saying.. Because the 3 dots ARE for the menu or options inside the app.. At the bottom right, right?

NO, this is what I'm talking about, the menu comes out of that 3 dot button once you hit it,

I want it to be like THIS, no 3 dot built in-app, but when I do the menu gesture, it comes from the bottom like this
Rootbox ROM has this feature (and it is actually working), you should try that and see if it works for you
Pretty much you will have to rewrite most of the system to get it removed completely.
Wayne Tech Nexus
There's no way to do this unless you get another ROM. Try any of them though, a lot have the ability to add a soft key menu button at the bottom (AOKP for example).

[Q] How to prevent changes to Lockscreen DashClock?

hello!
is there anyway to remove the + screen from lockscreen DashClock
in other words, preventing extra widgets from being added or changes from being made?

app to allow double tap screen to sleep

I used the double tap to sleep gesture with nova launcher on my old phone to put it too sleep and turn the screen off. With my s8 I have to put in my pin when i wake the phone up.
Is there any app or now that would allow me to double tap to sleep and then be able to wake it up with having to put my pin in??
I liked that gesture as well. Haven't found anything, if you find something, please post it.
I am using nova to double tap to sleep and mine does not ask for a pin each time.
When I set the double tap the phone gave me 2 options on unlocking after nova locks the phone. One of the options was to not require a password/pin.
I do have smart unlock active for home, work and my car Bluetooth.
Smart launcher as well uses double tap

Does Samsung have double tap to wake? (I liked it on my LG & Sony phones) or an app to emulate it.

Not sure what you are trying to show with that picture.
Screen rotation is in the notification, maybe on the second page, you may need to tap the pencil and edit but it's not in the navigation bar.

Disable auto rotation in the display settings and then the force rotation button will show on the nav bar

Problem Solved.
Installing some application that force immersive mode /full screen/hide navigation bar, turn back setting as default. And Auto rotation in navigator bar showing again.
Thanks for all reply.
