Lg G2 cant go to download or recovery mode, phone works fine but i forgot pin code. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been using knock code but later when i took my phone from my pocket it showed pin code. I forgot my pin code, I know my email adress and password but wifi and cellular data is off in the phone.
I bought this phone as used. I wasn`t able to connect my phone to pc after i bought. I get device not recognized error in windows. I also had slow charging when plugged with its charger though it charged in 2 hours.
1. Telephone works opens fine, but asks for pin code or email, i know email but cellular data and wifi is off in phone and i cant open wifi or cellular data.
2. I tried to do hard reset but i cant go to recovery or download mode, tried volume up for download mode, tried volume-down power and volume down-up simultaneously or volume-down power and volume down power again for recovery,. no luck.
3. I am stuck at pin code and email menu, i can use camera or quickmemo, i tried to open every app on quickmemo but couldnt open wifi or cellular data.
4. I use 4.4.2 kitkat lg g2 d802 , installed every driver, tried on other devices, other os`s. Cant get the phone recognized by pc.
Any suggestions ? I am really frustrated. I just bought it 1 month ago. Trying to find its pin code hopefully for 2 hours and no luck :crying:.

Anyone really any suggestions? i am open to any opinions. I can try anything to make this phone work...
Can motherboard be damaged ? I have never had any problem while gaming or surfing on net while using the telephone though. Why do you think that I get code 43 Not recognized device while i try to plug in and connect to my device and also i can't get to recovery or download mode .

You're just saying "Pin". Is it just a SIM-lock or is your phone encrypted? In first case try another sim. In second case please take a look at this fix-list:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63327417&postcount=4

It is not about the pin code of sim card. It is the password of telephone after you put screen lock to your telephone it asks for pin code in case you forgot your screen lock combination.
And there is no such thing applies to my problem in fix-list. I assume that my motherboard or charge socket is damaged so i cant connect my telephone to pc. And also i can't go to recovery mode or download mode but telephone is working fine though asks for pin code password or email address.
and no, im not just saying "Pin"

is there any fix because i am having this problem too ?

Update:
I can go into recovery mode, i was able to do it after trying 10-15 times.
In recovery mode, after i start hard reset, i get boot certification error.
i wasn't able to get into download mode, Computer can't recognize the telephone. i think it's because my usb port is damaged.
i tried to connect adb while in recovery mode but computer didn't even found that a telephone is connected.
i have done some research and do you think i can flash rom using JTAG ?
do you think if i buy 8$ lg g2 d802 charging port flex cable , would i be able to get into download mode and computer would recognize the telephone ?

locked lg g2

Hi. I had a pin unlock for my phone. I forgot it and entered it too many times. Now it wants me to unlock via my google account which is totally fine...but my phone wasn't connected to WiFi or mobile data wasn't enabled.
So even though I enter the correct details the phone cannot verify them!
I went unto Android device manager and tried to reset the lock screen but it failed to work.
I don't want to do a factory reset as I have not got some recent (and really quite important!) photos backed up! What do I do?
I tried to use a USB cord connected to my phone and PC but because the phone is locked only sleep and charge works.
Please help! Gracias

Bricked A2017G B03 - help please

Hello!
As title says i bricked my Axon :crying:
I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68738854&postcount=100 (and the german one that linked to this one) but couldnt do the fastboot unlock.
So i couldnt finish this and my phone required a pin number to start android: bootet and started up but wanted a pin code to start/enter system.
Wasnt able to fix that with googling for answers so i went back to edl mode and rewrote my backup boot/recovery images with axon7backup.
Had no errors with that but it wont start now:
After the ZTE Logo the display goes black but it connects as "handset diagnostic interface (DFU) (ComX)" to my computer.
I fiddled around with driver installing etc and forced the HS-USB QDLoader 9008 on it but no luck, axon7backup/root can not connect.
When i did the actual flashing yesterday it never connected with the hold both vol-keys and connect usb way either, always had to reboot into edl via adb.
I cant boot anything else (no twrp/recovery) it just goes to the diagnostic interface mode.
Thanks in advance
you can try to get into adb mode with this:
- power off your device
- hold the vol down key while plugin in the usb-c cable (connected to your pc)
- keep holding
- you should get a white box with FTM factory test mode
- you are free to use adb again - so you can get into edl mode as well....
for pin part that'S normal while unlocking your device encryption gets deleted and you have to abort and factory reset your device in twrp....

Thanks. I tried it but it wont go to FTM. Only goes to diagnostic com port.
It seems i cant even turn it off. The little red light on the front is on the whole time .
sadly the disadvantage of a built in battery, so you have to wait till the battery is empty and try my instructions then....if it's not realy off it won't work, the mode you are currently in you usually only reach if you switch it on while holding both volume buttons, the edl mode is sadly not reachable with a key combination directly on G models.
adb don't show your device?

Oh ok. I expected ftm to work from vol-down and power-button till restart.
@adb: sadly no connection possible since it goes straight to Comport Connection.
Edit:
Couldnt make that work. It was off and i connected the usb. So it showed me the loading battery picture where i cant do anything. held the vol-down the whole time. But as soon as it had some battery it went straight to comport-connection again
im sorry to say, but ur device is bricked to a degree where you would need ZTEs Flashtool to fix it. Unfortunately we dont have that tool, so you might have to send it in
i have the same exact problem :'(
Have u been able to fix it?? I'm in a situation that i cant even send it to ZTE to fix it :'(

Hi,
couldnt fix it myself so i had to send it in.
Unless some tool/rom was released in the last few months to fix it yourself i would guess your device is bricked.
Hi I have almost the same problem, I tried to unlock bootloader and now I don't have the recovery, I can boot and use my mobile but I can't restore it or update it because I don't have the recovery
I try whit axon7tool to restore the recovery but I got a error.

Hi, do you have any idea, if there will be such a flashtool to work with DFU mode? I'm thinking that there are a lot of guys have bricked their devices (including me).

S 7edge is stuck in boot loop, no recovery access and no odin connection

Im having unique issue with my s 7edge.
I cant boot the phone it says Custom binary blocked by frp lock.
I cant access recovery mode it says Recovery is not seandroid enforcing.
I can access download mode but its not connecting to any pc, kies, odin. The download screen says FRP lock: ON, Secure Download: Enabled.
So there is no way to flash the phone or access recovery or boot the phone.
What is the solution, im stuck.?
FYI: I have searched all over the internet for hours but I couldn't found same issue.

Hi sir,
Thank you for the swift replay. However I went through the guide and tried so much thinks to connect my phone to the smart switch but with no luck.
When I connect the cable the PC is not detecting and and no windows sounds for cable connecting. Tried other phone with same cable and the windows could detect it. Tried on other PC and s7edge is not detected by window also. I tried reinstall the drivers by smart switch and not detecting. I have rebooted my PC without luck also. I have tried all the combinations you can imagine but nothing makes the phone detected by PC.
In my download mode screen in my phone shows the following
ODIN MODE
DOWNLOAD SPEED: FAST
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G935F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON
Secured Download: Enabled
WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x020c)
RP SWREV: B:1 K:0 S:0
There is something in the phone is locked and not allowing to connect to any USB PC.

i see the real problem is not connecting to pc then...
try:
updating drivers with this : http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
Try:
manually deleting the drivers all together in windows and then plugging in your S7 while it is in Download Mode
Try:
unplugging all your USB in devices connectd to your pc (apart from keyboard/mouse) and then trying again
Try:
Using a different Cable (preferably the original one that came with the phone, this is the most common cause)

I tried with all cables including the original not detecting s7.
Generally there is no issue with PC to connect to mobile phones it connect perfectly with my other phones. Even the yesterday s7 was connected to my PC until I triggered the security and the phone stuck in the boot screen. The issue is in the s7 when its locked by (FRP Lock because of custom binary) its not allowing to connect to any PC. Something related to the phone security here.

When you are trying to use samsung switch emergency recovery feature, it is a stand alone part of the program which does not require you to connect to smart switch.
It should see the phone and fix the problem. FRP happened to me and smart switch emergency recovery was able to fix it. As long as the phone can be accessed it can be fixed.
All you need is the model name and your serial number which should be posted on the back of your phone or maybe the box you have still have it.

I have gone through that path, the phone cable unplugged initially. Then I selected more>emergency software recovery and initialization>
two tabs are there, 1- Emergency software recovery, 2- Device initialization.
1- Emergency software recovery: there is no update failed in the list, also I dont have recovery code for the same. no use of this option
2- Device initialization: I have entered the model and SN correctly and it found the stock software, I selected OK for the warning dialog until it reached the stage asking to put the s7 in the download mode, I did that with phone plugged in by USB. I waited forever for the "OK" button to be active, its grayed out because the s7 is not detected at all. So I am in the same loop again, the phone locking all the USB connections.

leave the phone with the screen showing the FRP lock, plug the cable in and use smart switch device initialization.
It should start without asking you to put it in without going to download mode. If it asks that, just unplug and replug the usb to the phone, that usually lets smart switch to bypass that request.

here is something odd and not as all people see it, when I turn the phone power on it start with samsung welcome screen with red sentence in top "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock" the screen stays on for 5 seconds then the phone goes off.
If I do the same thing with USB cable plugged in with phone off, its automatically power on with charging screen with red sentence on top "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock" and then the phone goes off and restart the same thing in infinity loop. So when I tried what you said in smart switch to install the firmware it didnt do anything, no installation started, no bypass FRP, the phone still looping on off, OK button grey.
I am reaching to no clue after all your guidance and help. I think the USB port is damaged and not reading data, only charging.

Can you tell me the resolution of this problem in your case? I have the same problem, although I haven't gotten word back from the seller who may or may not have the serial number, so I haven't been able to even try Smart Switch at all.

I was able to use Odin to reset my phone, after downloading the correct firmware from SamMobile. It took me a very long time to download, as my wireless connection is through my phone, and my household was over 60GB this month.
But I got it done, and have a working S7 Edge again. Sorry that you apparently had a hardware issue, but at least you got it working again.

No Password entry possible after unlocking bootloader

Hello dear communtiy,
i think i have a quite serious problem: I unlocked the bootloader on my Huawei p8 lite 2017, and it started an obligatory factory reset (because of possible data theft...). Well, after rebooting i find myself without a keyboard to enter my password. I normally use the fingerprint sensor to unlock it, but when you restart it you have to enter a password. There is a numpad for entering the PIN after restart, but just no way of entering anything into the password box. Its a text password with 13 letters (if thats any important). Of course i searched for solutions on the internet and tried almost all of them:
Idea 1: Boot into safe mode: No keyboard in safe mode
Idea 2: Use Huawei erecovery: No keyboard after whats effectively another factory reset (at least thats what i think it is)
Idea 3: Use Google Play on the PC to remotely install a keyboard: Google Play now says a keyboard app is installed, but theres still no keyboard on the phone
Idea 4: Use ADB to somehow do something: USB debugging IS enabled, but my phone is stuck at using USB only to charge
Idea 5: Use a USB keayboard with a micro usb adapter: havent tried that yet, but i am not sure if it will even allow me to enter anything via USB before the phone is unlocked
Idea 6: I have made a Backup of Apps and such via Huawei HiSuite before unlocking the bootloader, but i cant figure out a way to apply it. Maybe it will bring back some form of keyboard when applied.
Im currently doing another Huawei erecovery just because i hope it will do something, but i dont think it will. I am in desperate need of my phone and beg for immediate help. I didnt flash anything onto it, i just unlocked the bootloader with this code you get. I am less than a beginner at screwing with phones. I feel really scared at the moment, since i only had this phone for a couple of weeks. Is there any hope for it?
Again, im begging for it to work,
Kalle
Edit: After in total 3 "resets" theres still personal data on the phone, because i see my old wallpaper on the locked screen.

[HELP] Redmi Note 4(3+64) RED STATE

I have a redmi note 4 mediatek variant and it's been stuck in bootloop for the past 2 days. It keeps restarting and doesn't go into fastboot mode.
The bootloader is locked. It won't go into recovery or fastboot. Sometimes it turns on when holding the power button but then goes into a bootloop.
This was the message last displayed on the phone:
RED STATE
YOUR DEVICE HAS FAILED VERIFICATION AND MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY
YOUR DEVICE WILL BOOT IN 5 SECONDS
And then it shut down and hasn't responded since.
Going to a service center probably won't help since this is a chinese variant and I live in India. The service centers here are mostly useless.
All help is greatly appreciated.
You can always try to do test point. Download official rom file and flasher, make sure to install fastboot drivers. Take apart your phone and connect two golden contacts on the motherboard while plugging in USB cable connected to PC. The phone should boot up to bootloader and you should be able to flash rom.
Test points should look like this: http://en.miui.com/thread-646232-1-1.html (scroll down, there is one photo)
If you need anything you can e-mail me on [email protected]

I somehow got it working by completely draining out the battery and then booting. It worked for a while normally (around 30 min) and then went into a bootloop again.
