Developer needed for N900P - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im looking for a dev to help making 6.0 roms work for the N900p for Sprint network. All roms load well but lose all cellular and data abilities. There is 1 sprint rom that is 6.0 that works but isnt completed. I have a very good idea what the issue is and im willing to use my Note3 as a teat device.
Please comment or PM if interested.
Thank you.

Would be nice for someone to fix texting on N900P with cell number. It's a problem I've yet found a workaround for. No big deal for me since I use my google voice number with hangouts instead.
The cell service/data can be achieved. BUT...
Depending on rom, radio might switch on you to non-working or to the verizon network (happened a lot on older n5 darklord ports).
Of all the times I've tried helping people achieve this, no one can replicate my methods. Which is: get 4g switcher app, enable airplane mode, set radio in app to lte/cdma/gsm, enable radio in app, app crashes, disable airplane mode, done. If this doesn't work you'll have to kick radio back to normal with a stock rom first. Then wipe/install custom rom.
The Aurora N5/N7 6.0.1 ports have been my daily drivers since those have been giving no issues with cell service once I do that method.
The ports have come a long way. They no longer crash the dialer and disables cell service after a call.

Maybe you would do better in the SPRINT forum .
Doubt if any of the DEVS in this forum have a Sprint model Note 3 or any interest in it .

You may receive a greater response by posting here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint

@JJEgan, @audit13
Nobody is developing for the N900p in the Sprint forum. There is one guy but he just did the initial release and needs help. I belive i know why cell and data wont work I just dont have the experience to do it.

I'm not a developer; however, I know that having access to the particular phone is essential for bug testing.
I wish you luck in your quest.

Samsung Note 3 SM-N900P
Am not a developer, though, I would like to know if you solved the issue of data and cellular. I had the same problem. Solved it after an extensive search on the forum, and believe me, things where scattered but I got through. Had issues of null imei, ******something, something, Android system has stopped**** I would be glad to help. Though, my phone is now KITKAT 4.4.4

You are replying to a two year old post and may get no reply .
As said this is not the Sprint forum .

Project Fi After 6.0.1 update cannot make calls on Tmobile but texing and Data work

I have been entering the sprint code every couple hrs to get my calls to work. Project Fi support has no idea why or what is going on. The had me run a bug report. Hopefully that will get this resolved. Any one else on Project Fi having this issue?
Jayson
Still waiting to hear back from Project Fi team. I just spoke with the Nexus support team and was told there is no going back to 6.0 from 6.0.1. The tech I spoke with said that they have logged 7 calls with the same issue me. Mine now makes it 8.
Even though I am a bit frustrated with this issue Google support folks are 1000 times more knowledgeable and easier to work with than Verizon. This company gets how to treat and deal with customers.
Still not working yet. Google is going to give me credit for the inconvenience but I am beginning to lose faith in them getting this resolved. Switches back to T-Mobile and I keep missing calls. Uhhhhg. I really want to stay with Project Fi but I may be forced to look elsewhere for cellular service.
Have you tried *#*#34963#*#* ?
I had a similiar issue to you.
Where I live and where I work I get a stronger signal from Sprint than T-mobile.
After I updated my phone to 6.0.1 I had problems connecting to Sprint's network.
I used the "FI XME" dialer code and that seemed to fix my issue:
*#*#34963#*#*
I found a post in the Nexus 6 forums with the Project Fi dialer codes:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/project-fi-fi-dialer-codes-to-force-t3132393
Another reference for the Project Fi dialer codes:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/project-fi/IkOy8ZGNyPk
Hope this helps.
I'm not on FI, got the sim card just haven't switched yet lol. Ummmmmm see my thread my phone is getting horrid LTE speeds, I put in a ticket. And I'm on T-Mobile this is crazy

Does T-mobile service work where you are, did you have it before?
Yes. T mobile is strongest signal where I am . Worked great until the update.
Look up it may be related to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/help/lte-issues-6-0-1-radio-canadian-carriers-t3267270

Ah yes then that's a problem, the Google update to 6.0.1 has caused all kinds of radio problems so let's hope they fix it quickly.
My issue seems a different. The Data and texting works fine on WiFI only, Sprint and T-Mobile. The issue is calling in and out on T-Mobile. Instant failure.
I'm having the same problem but I think it only happens when the phone connects to band 12 LTE on T-mobile. It seems that VoLTE isn't working properly. Can you check what T-mobile band you are on using this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueline.signalchecklite
Says Provider: T-Mobile B4
I'm having the issue where my data speeds suck. Since update

Be careful! I did this on my last 6P and it completely messed up my radio and prevented me from making calls on Sprint (no it wasn't because of the SIM card as I tried 3 of them) . I had to RMA my device. My advice is not to mess with that menu. I have done it on other devices without issue but it seems as though once selected it cannot be undone.
I just found out yesterday that the engineers have not even looked at my bug reports yet. They were sent to them yesterday from what I was told. They also had me order a new sim card as well to rule that out. The support or lack there of up to yesterday has be ridiculously unacceptable. I get the feeling that they are just trying to pacify me and not doing anything in hopes that a new release will come out an magically fix this issue. Very frustrating.
Problem Fixed. After dealing with this for several days I asked a supervisor how long was acceptable to leave a customer with an open issue affecting cellular service and to be missing calls. He provided me a RMA and a new phone was sent. All seems to be work with the New replacement phone they sent.

Yes be very careful in that menu. I was just looking at the menu and my finger some how hit a different band. Took me about 4 hours to figure out how to fix it. There are some tuts here on that issue that will help. Also there's a way to get the international bands to show up

Can anyone enable volte feature in s4 gt-i9506

Developers i really need you help regarding volte
In india reliance jio(sim operator company) is giving free calls nd free data for 3 months(check on google about reliance jio for more information) but it has one problem that call will only go through voice over lte. Thus if you phone does not have volte so you cannot call from your phone. So i checked on inernet that volte can be enable by software update. Samsung gave software update to many phone like s7,s6,note6 etc but didnt updated s4 as they stop uodating this phone now. So now now only you all developers can help me. Plz tell me how to enable volte or is there any custom rom that has this support plz replt fast. Check on google for more information about volte.
Plz tell frnds
Yes ......but in i9505
Hey I asnwered to you multiple times. I am starting to think that you are too lazy to even google that thing. Google is full of answers to that. First try to search your problem by self, after when you can't find any solutions, then ask. Asking others to do your work for you is rude. Xda manual even says; search before you ask.
HERE IS JIO'S APP FOR IT:

You can call 4g/lte calls with your phone anytime. Just learn how to use your phone. And please hit thanks, when people help you

Bro listen i have this app this is called jio4gb voice which is given by jio to non volte customers. I forget to mention that i have this app. But this app is a severe headache. It consumes a huge amount of battery like you are continuously playing game. Also it lags nd heats alot the phone. And the majar problem is that this app continuously need data connection and that internet should be from jio4g and if i use wifi then this app will disconnect from server nd i cannot accept and make calls. That is why i need inbult function of this that will be in sim settings as then no data is needed for making and accepting calls. I will upload the screen shot as well of how it looks like in setting. External app is just waste. So in my view a new custom rom is the only way to enable as all the companies are giving new software update that supports volte but s4 is not getting new updates from samsung. So only you all developers can help
Bro, I asnwer to you just one more time: Rom developers can´t help you. That kind app dedinivolng is too big work. AND YOU CAN´T MAKE VOLTE CALLS WITHOUT 4G ON. THAT IS THE VOLTE FUNCTION. TRY TO UNDERSTAND THAT. ( VOLTE=VOICE OVER LTE). You can try ti install full s5 rom and see if there is the option. But still you have to keep 4G on!!!! But if you won´t use the Jio´s app that is stupid. you can put from your setting both wifi and 4g working at same time, so that they are on together all the time. Second option is call yo your servivise provider and ask them to give to you volte ip call settings and everything else from there. And now if you have anymore questions pm me!!! Do Not spam anymore. But first thing Call Your service prider ( jio) in this case. This is not so difficult. AND PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON, WHEN PEOPLE ARE HELPING YOU. That is least what you can do.

[TUTORIAL]Workaround for TMO customers to get Wifi Calling on any rom.[TUTORIAL]

Hello XDAers,
As we all know, most ported roms for our lovely Note 4 does not feature Wifi Calling. As of May 31, 2017, TMobile released an app called Digits out of beta. As of this posting, it is free for all TMobile customers. This app will allow you to receive phone calls on just about any device. Install it on your device that has the custom rom and connect to wifi. :The two caveats are:
1. You have to use Digits to make and receive the wifi calls. (you can unregister/register it through the app once you've finished making or receiving wifi calls)
2. It's has the potential to be a battery hog if left running(at least from the reviews I read. Haven't had time to confirm.). I'm pretty sure people have thought of this already. This is for the people who may not have.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.digits&hl=en
I'm using Greenify in conjunction with it to try and tame it.
Thanks for your time. Please hit the thanks button if you found this helpful.:good:
My only problem is you need a T-Mobile log in. I pay Simple Mobile using the T-Mobile network, If I flash a stock T-Mobile rom, I have WiFi calling. But who wants to use a stock rom??
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I'm running digits successfully with a couple different custom roms (both of the N7 / C9 port variety). Apocalypse-X (v7) and - darn it - can't remember the other one. Oh, Batman. Same developer @star53 on those. But I suspect it will work w/ many of these roms, esp. ones that were for Samsung phones (even though they're now ported to a different phone). Try it. Oh, and do make sure to go to settings and select wifi rather than all over data. What makes this nice is that the ported roms don't have native wifi calling support enabled. Digits should allow that.

SM-G955FD on Verizon (I don't care about CDMA)

I'm making a broad post as a last resort on this, the only two thread on it I found were dead ends.
I've exhaustively searched and trialed different roms/firmware/CSC to get my already activated verizon sim working on my SM-G955FD.
I already know Exynos has no CDMA, neither did the HTC U11 that I had for a short while, and that didn't cause me any issues with outgoing calls. the VOLTE seems to be doing a fine job.
I PM'd two people on xda who said they were using it stock with no problem, but haven't gotten any replies on what steps they took. I can't even get data working regardless of APN or CSC. It simply refuses to connect to the network. I also hate what verizon did to the settings menu on this phone. If I didn't have the GFUDP, I would have moved on a while ago, but I use too much data.
Of course I know I can get the verizon snapdragon model, but I need root. I simply cannot function without titanium and the fact that android, to this day, has no official perfect backup really grinds my gears.
If anyone else has had success with this, please point me in the right direction. tia

Verizon network issues on AOSP ROMs

I've done a lot of reading on this topic and have yet to find a clear solution. It seems that others have very similar issues, some resolved and some not. There are lots of promising fixes out there but none that I have tried work for me. I'll describe the specific issue below, but first:
What I'd really like to know is if there is anyone out there still using a G900V with an AOSP rom and verizon service? Does the service work reliably? just like on stock LL or MM ? Is there hope for me to be able to use this phone as my daily? Now that I've had a taste of AOSP, I can't go back to MM or LL. The only reason I've held out for so long is that the S5 has removable batteries, is modifiable (thanks XDA devs!), and is now very cheap to replace. But could it be time to throw in the towel...?
The issue is, verizon service on any AOSP rom that I've tried, is unreliable. It works some places and not others. This is not just reception - I'm comparing to the same phone running stock MM or LL firmware, and these are all in metropolitan areas, the service exists for sure and has for years while using stock rooted LL rom. At my house for example, data works, mms, sms, and calls work (although sms are delayed). 4 blocks down the road, I only get data. No sms, mms, or calls can go out or come in. On a road trip recently and I get similar unreliability with the sms and mms. Fortunately, data seems to work most places which has allowed me to continue using RR-7 pie and not be totally in the dark.
It's similar to this issue here (roaming indicator off) and I have tried all of the things on the OPs list with 3 different CID15 phones (G900V): Different ROMs, changing APN settings, restoring QL1 EFS, changing preferred network types, different sim cards, etc, etc
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...delayed-texts-unknown-carrier-custom-t3838284
My knowledge of how it all works is limited but it seems to me like there is something about the AOSP roms that doesn't allow the phone to connect to the right bands? frequencies? protocols? As I do get some of the network functionality. If I TWRP flash back to stock MM (which I have done many times) it works perfectly, everytime, everywhere.
