I installed latest cm-13.1.2-ZNH2KAS3LG-crackling-signed-fastboot-84f0d5200b.zip from https://cyngn.com/support on a friend's Wileyfox Swift, and, after install, I see a new system update is there. I did not write down new system update name. But, in short what is the latest CyanogenOS for Wileyfox Swift and where is it to be found?

Wileyfox have announced they are preparing for an android N release to all phones and with the demise of COS, this update patch is preparing the device, nothing more.

That sounds great but it would be good if Wileyfox could publish the preparing updated firmare as to always be able to flash it via fastboot.

strange as mine that did an OTA update shows Cyanogenmod 13.1, so it must be the latest version,
wonder if its possible to extract this and reload it onto those phones that cant get update due to being flashed and not running stock firmware.

nothing shows as an update for me?
will we now lose all the brilliant COS apps and built in mods, like built in truecaller and microsoft hyperlapse MOD or the theme engine?
that be a big step backwards for us....
will wait to see when it gets released what we lose, if its too much, will be time to load lineage OS, or one of the CRdroid ROMS,
I suspect I wont be the only one doing that...

Id be very willing to help out, just wouldn't have a clue how to extract it from my official firmware, if there is a program I run, what do I need to do there?
still cyanogen OS, but not nougat just updated my security description, from september 2015 to dec 1 2016,
so you didn't miss anything really significant
Id assume its on the website, but that doesn't seem to be the case,
Im still waiting to see what wileyfox official firmware will look like, and if anything will be lost by ditching COS,
Ill then probably go lineage O/S then.

What exactly is the difference? What can you do on CM7 that you can't do otherwise? Just wondering if it's worth all the trouble.
This is an official CM rom made by the CM team. This is the final build of CM 7.1 using OS version 2.3.7. Now when the ICS source is out they will start work on CM 9. Expect daily/nightly revisions of this build from the CM devs on this forum though
And in answer to your question. CM is a android rom built from the ground up for each device. Unlike most custom roms, CM is based on the AOSP (Android open source project) and not the latest sony firmware. It's basically a stock android rom, very fast and very stable but includes nothing Sony. It dosen't even include the google apps, you have to flash them as a seperate package

You will loose everything like that. But on the plus side, you get more space, better kernel and latest android version.

thats my worry aswell, i can live without the psxperia, but what's the point of having the play if the slide out controls dont work

Okay my download finished i will make a uploaded.to mirror soon becouse the download on the CM site is very slow. There is a boot.img inside the zip, so i think we really just have to wipe and flash the zip.

Official CyanogenMod do not need download tracking. They have stats.cyanogenmod.com
does this mean clockworkmod will support xperia play cause it dosnt at the moe on rom manager, i guess ill have to try installing via the fastboot method on here which im not 100% sure about ? ....

i tried installing th zip file of cyanogenmod 7.1 via the clockworkmod recovery from freexperia but it came up with assert failed getprop

CM is switching from Busybox to Toybox. The switch is not completed yet, which results in apps not being able to write to system (mount system as rw). I don't know but I believe that apps maybe need to be updated to work with toybox.
So far everything posted here has already been discussed in the numerous cm13 build threads.

The camera is exactly the same, it still lags a lot on low light videos. They probably just changed the UI to look like they did something...lol what a joke...

I know, thats why im pissed. Not because they didnt fix it, but because they lied. I downloaded from mega on the oneplus x official forum, my phone is on 2.2.2 with the new camera ui.
So the file isn't from official sources. Personally I would question the validity of such a file, until it appears to the official download support page of one plus, or Ota to my phone.

I find it hard to believe that it isnt the official ota but i hope you are right. I do have the new security update + new camera UI so it probably is the new update. Maybe when the full zip comes it works better but im really not counting on that. Maybe they messed something up with the ota from 2.2.1x to 2.2.2
EDIT: The camera has an option to enable high framerate recording (dont know why that wouldn't be on by default, makes no sense). But its still far from normal, it still lags

I don't think that the devs of DU like links to their roms being posted on XDA as they have moved their threads to Devs Base. Head on over to their G+ page at https://plus.google.com/communities/109738128866939227235 where you will find the link you are looking for. Both Official and Weekly builds can be flashed over each other with no issues, however, if you stray onto the RC builds, they cannot be flashed over either the Official or Weekly builds, and vice versa.
Tried this but boot loops. Messed up my tablet too.
I tried it too without luck. It's forever showing the animated boot logo of the red unicorn, but nothing else happens. Gave up after half an hour. Maybe I should have waited an hour?

rom still works awesome for me!
guys get the nmf26f volantis factory image from google and extract the bootloader and vendor.img
then install the bootloader through adb and flash the vendor.img
btw you can get the rom from the official DU homepage. just google it.

This was the android version I had installed before trying DU, so is it still needed to flash those? Do you mean to flash them before or after installing TWRP and DU?

maybe your DU download is messed up? checked md5?
usually i install the bootloader using adb and afterwards vendor + rom + gapps using twrp

What Stan said. Extract the vendor and bootloader from the latest factory google image and flash the vendor via TWRP as an image. I use Rom Toolbox to extract the image. The bootloader needs flashed via adb. You can update the vendor adb as well.
Thanks for your help, but it didn't work for me. After further investigation it seems the latest 'Official' build keeps giving me ZIP verification errors in TWRP even after redownloading the image. Flashed the latest bootloader and vendor as suggested (using Fastboot - couldn't find a way to do it with ADB) and then tried with the latest RC instead, which didn't fail in ZIP verification. Unfortunately I still get the animated unicorn boot logo forever... *sigh*
For anyone interested, I just found the solution getting help on Google+, which was this:
1. Install DU
2. Install GAPPS
3. Install boot.img from Noobbuilds
4. Reboot
Root is lost but that's easily fixed if needed. It works and runs really smooth.

I can't answer that as I only ripped boot.img from the Noobbuilds package. But compared to stock and LineageOS (both 7.1.1), DU is significantly more smooth and responsive.

DU 7.1.1 is the fastest ROM I've ever used on my Nexus 9. The stock kernel is superb. The only reason I use Fire-Ice kernel is because 2 amp charging doesn't work on the stock kernel unfortunately.

The code name for Nexus 9 is 'Flounder' (and Volantis). I'm unsure if the ROM on their page will work on the LTE version though.

Is there anything wrong with this build? I see it hasn't been updated since 5/01. Was it abandoned? There doesn't seem to be any talk about it here...

It seems like they started updating builds again. A new 5/29 build has appeared!
I read changelog, and I'm not sure but I think no important bug was covered
I am still on the final build of LOS 16 official (4/20/20) and it is rock solid. I imagine 17.1 will be just as good after a few updates.
Latest build has bluetooth issues when using aptx hd.
And solve usb problem? Sound problem would be in nexts

This existed in the first build and I filed an official issue. A workaround for now is to just unselect aptx from the bluetooth settings of your device.

Can anybody confirm if OpenGAPPs Nano will work with latest 17.1 2020-06-01 release? I had an issue with previous 17.1 2020-05-01 - no Google Apps working after following official guide and was forced to revert to Lineage 16, which works perfectly fine for me.

That's because the LOS 17.1 recovery wasn't making system writable before flashing. It was discussed on Reddit. You'd flash a zip, but because system was read only, nothing got written.
That's been fixed, supposedly. Honestly, I've been updating since 4/29 build and can't say for sure. I found another way to flash gapps back then.
This weekend I did a clean flash of the 5/30 build. Flashing nano gapps led to trebuchet continually force closing, rom was unusable. I went back and flashed pico gapps and it worked. I recall someone else had the same experience. YMMV.

Strange, it showed up in my updater a couple hours ago.
