A7010 battery drains extremely fast in stand-by - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Without touching the phone at all, the battery dropped from 100% to 50% within 24 hours give or take. I tried disabling background apps in the settings yesterday but after 12 hours it's down to 24%. When I look at battery usage, it's 85% CPU, which is odd, since the phone is literally just locked sitting on the table. Wi-Fi is disabled, cellular is disabled. Any idea what may be causing this?

THis may sound insane but you can try.. Factory reset your phone.. Install only necessary apps... Charge your phone between 90-99 don't charge it 100%.. Now check the way you checked last time..

Went through two of those within two weeks, appears to be caused by Marshmallow system update, since the battery was fine when the device was at Lollipop but as soon as the update got installed, it started to drain like crazy. Looked through Lenovo forums, seen multiple complaints about the update causing battery drain, no solution, no system patch so far. Doesn't seem to have a 100% rate of happening though.
Bought a different device in the end.

Will this disable volte?

Hello , All,
This is very common problem with most of the Lenovo OTA update releases. (especially from Build : S219, S230 and S232 .) there will not be any issue if you use any custom roms.
actually CPU deep sleep is not enabled for those builds who consumes more battery.
please flash stable stock builds OR use custom roms, which has more features . (caution: warranty will be gone)
thank you
Bhanu

yes.

Anyone who struggle in rapid battery drain when battery drop to 31-30% then after a while its 20%... Any users of k4/a7010..

Refer this Link https://forum.xda-developers.com/k4-note/how-to/lp-lenovo-k4-note-stock-roms-s152-s218-t3466184 for rolling back to Lollipop s152 or Marshmallow s230 (You need to root your device and unlock bootloader though )

Standby Battery Life is awful! N910C

As the title says, standby battery is awful.
I have all the bloatware disabled, only things on push are gmail and facebook messenger.
Cell standby is also sitting at 20% battery usage, no matter what, 2nd on the list behind screen time. Note 3 had exactly the same issue where cell standby is concerned. None of my other phones have had this issue, including my S2 with buggy as hell CM11, OnePlus One, Moto G LTE, etc.
No matter what I do, even with everything disabled and on airplane mode, there's a constant 1% battery drain every hour.
In my Note 3's case, this only happened on stock samsung firmware. When I flashed CM11, the issue went away completely. Something like 0.3% drained per hour instead.
So to me the issue is with Samsung's crappy software. I know the battery life was woeful on the Note 4 anyway before an update came in to fix things up a bit. Maybe they're saving the fixes for 5.0?
I know a new update for the N910C was released a couple of days ago too, but not available on European models yet.
Anyone else having these issues?
I dont have this issue at all my friend if i were u id try a complete wipe 1st, some people have had this issue too so returning could be an answer
Same here...
I only lost 4% battery overnight and don't have this problem too
20% battery loss on standby but mobile data was enabled.
^ you may have a bad app and/or bad signal
I have 4 bars lte at home, 2-3 bars at work, wifi always full signal at both work and home, one is ac 5ghz, other n 2.4ghz, no difference in drain either way.
Ive done a factory wipe 3 times now, even through recovery once. No change. Better battery stats and gsam both report no rogue apps, and ive also tested by having no apps installed, with and without bloatware disabled.
Im not really keen on the idea of voiding my warranty to test other kernels etc, and the only other option is to flash the ank5 update to test.
Ive attached another screenshot showijg the issue better. The drain gets noticeably worse after the first 50% or so, but that could be caused by many things, like inaccurate readings.
Like i say though, 1 of my 2 note 3s had the same issue. Could well be a faulty wifi/cellular chip.
Ignore the time its been on, the same thing happens during a day of heavy usage when in standby, same level of drain constantly.
1%+ may not seem that much to a lot of people, but with my usage i should get through 2 days regardless. It should be less than half of what it is. From the curent reporting in the battery stats, im losing almost 50% of my battery in standby over a day and a half or so.

The only things enabled for sync right now are the basic google apps such as chrome, calendar etc. They rarely sync though, and no other phone I've used in the last 2 years has had an issue with them.
Samsung sync constantly returns errors so I leave that off.
Last thing I'll be trying tonight is a full wipe without disabling any built in apps. Its doubtful, but maybe one of the core shamsung apps are trying to communicate with a disabled app or something. I really don't know.

My n910c is terrible too. 15% battery loss in 3 hours of standby alone! Wtf! Tried every battery saving trick' no location on etc...
i would suggest u do few thing while u get on bed next time,
Full charge your phone and unplug before you on bed,
1. Restart the phone while on charging, after restart go to home screen and lock the screen and unplug then go to sleep, check it at the next morning u wake.
2.Left the phone with your daily apps running, full charge and unplug then go to sleep, check it at the next morning too when u wake.
this is how i solve those apps running not right.
like the screenshot below,
An apps running at night drained 30% battery within 6hours & 30mins & without switch on the screen or touch anything since i'm asleep *with wifi on*
2nd screen shot shown that cm browser running and consume 94% of processing among 30% battery
while cpu only running 20mins since i had weather & sync on during night.
After that i report to cm team and they send me latest version,
after re-install my phone just back to normal.
now my N910c note 4 is consuming 1% every 1.5hours standby with wifi/3g connected *my area 4g only 1~2 bar so i changed to 3G*
average daily usage were 4.5~5.5 hours screen on time with social apps, browsing infomation, checking e-mail every 1or2 hours, reading news with flipboard, news app, drawing something, watch some youtube video & with auto brightness but indoor most of the time.
hope this would help you

I did a full wipe, installed ANK5 update, unplugged at 10pm at 100%, woke up at 7am with 97%. This is what it should ALWAYS be.
However, after the 2nd charge after the full wipe, it's back to what it was, if not worse. Last night I unplugged at 11pm, woke up at 7am with 92% left. That's bang on 1% an hour again.
There is nothing keeping the device awake at all. It's very frustrating.
I can only assume Cell Standby is so high due to the fact that the phone isn't actually doing anything while the screen is off. After a 20hr day with only 1 hour SoT it's sitting at 72% battery left, with cell standby at 31%, just above Device Idle at 29%. It's a mystery to say the least.

Thanks for your post. I'll definitely try restarting etc again beforehand. I'm also considering another wipe, as S-Voice being disabled seems to cause quite a few errors in the camera app. The battery drain increased after I opened the camera app too, even after force closing etc. That could just be coincidence though.
1% every 1.5 hours still seems like a lot to me, but it seems like you have a lot more apps and things running, so it's actually very good!
Very tempted to just root the thing now and throw on a debloated OS and custom kernel.
Last night i go sleep with 10% of battery left, ( im not force closing any application at all - just exit ) when i wake up ( about 7 hours of sleeping ) phone was showing 8%
No data/wifi/gps etc. If you are not using mobile internet, switch to GSM! It takes more than 30% less battery power than 3G
I'm thinking this is a hardware fault of some sort. Maybe battery, I'm gonna replace and see cause tried from full charge placing it in airplane mode to see if signal was causing the problem, didn't touch it, screen off whole time for 2 hours. Upon looking at it I saw I'd lost 7% battery! Omg! In airplane mode?! In 2 hours?! In standby?!!
In normal use there are no Rouge apps or strange readings in battery stats at all. May be hardware fault.
I've had the N910K exynos, 6 hours plus sot battery life
I've had the N910F snapdragon, 6 hours plus sot battery life
This n910c give me 3 hours sot. I'm pissed lol. Right off!!
Thats really weird, it can be issue of the battery. My 910C has about 8/9 hours of SOT ( wifi only ).

My SoT is fine if im only using it during 1 day. Its usually close to 6 hours. But its not heavy usage, just browsing mainly.
Let me know how the battery change goes. Im likely going to order a spare anyway for when im away from home, so will also report back.

At work its pretty poor, usually a bar or two on lte, but no other phone ive had has displayed battery drain like this in standby.
That still doesnt explain why it drains 1%/hr with nothing happening at home though with 4 bar lte and full wifi signal.
Ive also noticed voice calls are taking up significant battery. A 3min call used more battery than 20 mons of screen time at half brightness apparently, unless thats normal.
If its normal, then to me the cause seems to be battery related. If not, then faulty cellular chip.
Also heres some more screenshots.
This is over the course of the day with barely any usage.
The chunks where its awake, that's just when I'm playing music, not a rogue app.
Note the big standby drop at the start, then the standby drop later, both completely different amounts of drainage, yet both when doing nothing.

I am waiting for delivery but my model will be as for UK as everyone have across EU, This is very serious issue, I request all user to Email to Huawei/honor to they can release patch or update regarding that ASAP ? Can you tell me how much % battery drain overnight ? for example since when you turn off screen before you go to sleep to wakeup in the morning with or without dual sim and all bt, wifi & Mobile data off? Have try factory reset and see better result in drain ? Can you also measure Temperature when you wake up phone and when normal usage with Wifi and Mobile data using app. called CPUTEMP please
I loose between 5 and 10% per night, with airplane mode and w/o BT and wifi.
the phone stay cold.
I didn't wipe, but some users already tried and it don't fix.
I asked to honor to patch it, they know how to fix it.
I advise to get replacement, specifically ask them to give you different batch is possible, btw my 2013 LG G2 drain only 1-2% battery overnight on without airplane mode , try install CPU SPY and tell me your deep sleep % please

That doesn't mean there is a problem. It was reported in another review that cell standby reports high usage but it has no affect on battery life and they loose only 2% overnight. You could be losing high amount of battery overnight for other reasons, such as background apps.
i did many test, it's cell standby which drain my battery.

I don't thing that this problem should exist in Honor 7 as such not mention in Two dated review website like gsmarena.com or notbookcheck.net, if such a problem exist they must have mentioned in it, in the description of search result which say Description:
"When mobile data (2G or 3G) is switched on, all the internet apps continue to consume battery and keep the mobile data active unless they are force stopped. On kitkat, this didn't happen because apps stopped using mobile data whenever their transaction was over. But here in lollipop, they don't seem to stop ever and cause a huge battery drain.
Please look into this.. It's still present in 5.1 (aosp and all custom roms)."
The above statement means it confused your battery when you leave turned on Mobile Data or Wifi, There are so many app which terminate your application when you turn off the screen or even hibernate or stop until you use next time to stop battery drain even with Wifi and Mobile data off, I don't think any apps consuming battery or keeps CPU awake with Wifi or Mobile data off
Try installing "CLEAN MASTER" which will tell you any power and CPU hungry apps which running or restarting in background and also terminate or Hibernate apps when not in use with many more functions without ROOT
Can you also publish screenshot or battery usage and screen on time please

Phone Idle under Settings/Battery

What runs under "Phone Idle" on the V20. It's been the largest battery consumer for the last week of use that I've noticed. My wife's V20 is the same and I had my brother check his and his wife's V20.
I'm only asking because I'm not see great battery life like other have been reporting. I don't have live wallpaper, have only two widgets on the home screen. GPS is set to battery save, screen is set to auto but that doesn't even come close to chewing up the battery.
Sadly I feel like I'm still using my old 2.5 year G3 where it'll need a charge mid way through the day.

I agree with you. Although my phone is just beyond a week old and does have all my apps installed, a factory reset can't be the solution here. This is the typical "I don't know how to fix this" answer always given by manufacturers and carriers.
Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
In the roughly 3 weeks I've had my V20 I've only seen this once where phone idle was higher than Screen. I started looking thru all running apps for 'keep awake' time being high and noticed Android OS had keep awake of over 2 hours when it's normally less than an hour after a full day use. I power cycled the phone and it stopped.
The weird thing was Android OS didn't show high battery usage even though something was triggering keep awake. Looks like the keep awake was causing phone idle to be high.
I'd look at everything in your battery usage to see if you have any high keep awake times.

Pretty sad that needs to be done on a week old phone with minimal apps. I'm not even a heavy user.
I feel like I'm back on my old DroidX days where everything was a factory reset but never helped...

Sorry did not mean to be short in my response. When you set up your phone did you restore it from another phone using the nfc bump thing? I did the same and my phone battery was the same way. Wouldn't last even half a day. After i factory reset and set everything up manually i get 18+ hrs with 7 hrs screen on time sometimes.
If this situation doesn't apply to you then maybe a reset won't help. But you have to understand your situation isn't normal.
Make sure Google now features are all turned off and not running in the background.

I'll have to go through the apps one by one like I did previously on my G3 and see. Now within the battery stats there is only a handful of apps like hangout, play music, chrome and camera. The rest is OS related so that's why I was curious what ran under Phone Idle.

No and sadly I was looking for that feature a week ago but couldn't find it so I had to individually install most of my apps I had on my previous phone...made for a long night along with the additional emails and configuration or icons and such.
I'll keep digging away at the phone...I really want to like this phone ?
Has there been a definitive resolution to "phone idle" battery drain? I just got a V20 2 weeks ago on sale for $360 and its a fantastic upgrade over the One+1 I've been rockin all these years, but I'm also suffering from mediocre life due to whatever phone idle is. Some forums (for other phones) say phone idle is related to your wireless signal. I'm still with the same carrier and frequenting the same locations and had no such battery drain with that old One+.
i finally discovered whats was goin on with me..
i had the same issue..
phone idle was topping my battery usage list
it turns google plays have this "locationmanager service " and locationwhatever" that kills your battery over wifi even with location button off
Go to locations/ 3 dots in top right corner/ turn off WiFi scan. See if that helps.
My phone has been suffering from poor battery life for quite some time now, here are the screenshots, Android OS has been this high on almost all battery cycles.
I disabled wifi scanning as suggested above and will watch the performance, does the community have any other inputs to fix this? View attachment 4212978View attachment 4212979

Phone idle is always the biggest battery draw on my phone too. I have minimal apps too. No Facebook or similar types of apps. I'm on a Verizon V20 stock with the latest security update. Is this normal V20 behavior to have phone idle consume more battery than everything else?
how about doze mode , isnt that meant to help with this sort of problem ? ( my phone is currently on a ship )
Any update. İ have the same problem

So what did you do?
Would also be grateful if anyone shared a solution.
I specifically have a SIM-unlocked Sprint model (LS997) which am using in Europe with another carrier.
Using it in LTE preferred mode drains about 10-15% overnight.
Using it in WCDMA preferred mode drains up to 5% per night (yes, wifi and cellular data OFF and many apps greenified) . So I'm really interested in how this can be fixed and achieve 0% battery drain across several hours.
Or maybe it's SIM-unlocked Sprint ROM related?? I can't root my phone since it has the Feb 2017 patch and is a ZV6.
I suspect rooting it and using another ROM would solve this + the annoying issue of not being able to send images via FB Messenger and Viber while on cellular data (I imagine the Sprint guys placed some kind of restriction to deny media transfer for these apps when using cellular data).
I have noticed this too.. wondered why "phone idle" takes most battery... any suggestions would be great!
I am also curious about the solution. Phone Idle is at top. Even without SIM card. 30% drains during a night (everything is disabled, but no airplane mode is on). I tried factory reset, reinstall older ROM, replace battery, use no app but still sucks.
hi
my v20 phone battery draining was about 1% per hour before (about 7% totally ) and recently increased to 2% during sleeping time overnight. (draining 15% overnight in sleeping state)
it seems that during day either performance off battery is decreased.(about 5h with wifi and screen on usage)
Fast charging while second screen is On , is slower than when it is off therefore when second screen is Off , fast charging goes better . exactly , first 30 mins fast charging makes about 40% battery charge(instead of 50%) and after 60 min leads to 85% and full charging taking place after about 100 min instead of 80 mins.
another important thing is that sometimes shades have been seen on the LCD that many users have complained about it.

Samsung S8 Oreo - Battery Drains FAST

Hi,
My Samsung S8 since last upgrade to Oreo was a complete disaster. Just to be clear battery life during Android Nougat was good and it was the first thing ive noticed that samsung completely stepped up their game since their battery disaster on their certain phone model. Battery life would run at least from a day to 2 before recharging. Ive noticed there are other threads similar to these so i knew im not the only one affected, my colleagues also experience similar issues since upgrading to oreo so this is not something isolated to my s8 phone.
Few key points that ive noticed since upgrading to oreo:
1. Going to settings then battery usage. Screen would be the foremost battery hog at 26%, followed by Android System at 13%, then Device Idle at 9-8%. Cell Standby and Android OS remains normal.
2. Go to Settings then App. Ive noticed by checking each one of the apps that beaming services, device maintenance, settings, gear vr services were among the ones that took up most of the battery usage this is excluding system apps like AASAservice, etc.
3. Go to settings then data usage. The Android OS is sending or receiving 100MB of data (still counting). I wanted to know what are these data that is worth 100MB.
4. Device easily gets hot even light use of facebook, ig or 7 minutes of youtube video.
5. It sometimes restart, this is rare but ive noticed it since fingerprint cannot be used initially when there's a restart.
Now what ive done so far:
1. Cleared partition cache by holding bixby btn, volume up and power.
2. Disabling unused apps, even certain bixby services, etc.
3. Went to developer option and disable always on mobile data.
4. Factory reset device hoping it would go back to nougat but it did not. With a mint condition reset, it still drain too much battery. (without any third part apps or data restore)
5. Called up samsung customer service but was told to go to service center. Went to service center they check the ASOC of battery (which i think is unrelated) and according to them reprogram oreo. which did not help. wasted my time.
Now what is the implication?
1. I need to charge my phone at LEAST twice a day.
2. It heats up the phone which would definitely have negative impact on the longevity of this device one way or another.
3. It drains too much battery, with the amount of charge discharge multiplied at least by 2, this will literally messed up the battery life in the long run.
4. Im currently using 2 phones and my samsung s5 which is a 4 year old phone had better battery life. lol. Since in just 3 hours it consume almost 40% of battery.
There are tons of related post like these on different forums and on reddit but i surmise i should dig more on this problem before writing a more concrete post. At this point, i can only see 2 remaining options: 1. There is a step online that would revert the OS back to nougat but this would involved third party apps like odin, there are risk involved like phone brick, etc. Im not sure if it will void the warranty. OR i can just wait for a patch from samsung.
Now SAMSUNG NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP or provide us a way to revert back to nougat. With the s9 just available at the market, this terrible oreo release could not come at better time. I know there are several issues like the battery issues with their previous note model and Apples intentionally slowing down their phone, Samsung got to fix this fast before this issue becomes a blowout and many people will start to notice.
There are several threads about this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/to-to-fix-battery-drainoreo-t3771716

What security patch do you have and what can you see under "Baseband"? Everything will be fine with latest March security Patch and CRC7 Baseband. Just be patient, if you do not have it, yet.

Man, i´m totaly on same boat!
In CRC7, i'm experiencing terrible battery life. Max 2.00 to 2.30 Screen on time in one charge. Now, for the first time, i have to recharge my phone befoure dinner.
Wifi , Bluetooth, Aod On, location history Off.
It´s the worst experience on any phone that i had in the past.
Like you, already disabled some apps, clear cache and already done a fresh install. Nothing works, nothing improved my battery.
I´m thinking send it to warranty, but it´s probaly not worth the time...
Maybe it´s time to forget about Samsung phone and move on. P20, or even iPhone X...
After updating to OREO and updating all galaxy apps, "beaming service" was draining my battery (67% of the battery actually). After uninstalling the updates on beaming service, the phone seems fine now. Maybe uninstalling the updates of which apps are draining the battery could help you guys as well.

ive tried that before but after fresh install. beaming service could no longer be disabled, nor its updates uninstalled.
Besides other apps are also draining battery like AASAservice, settings, device maintenance, etc.
I received an update yesterday for the CRC7 March security patch.
Battery life aint any better

You're right, that can't be disabled but I was simply able to uninstall the updates by clicking three dots top-right corner of app info screen. I've the latest version CRC7 on the phone by the way.
Hello !
I've been s8 for three months and I've never had any particular problems, I've upgraded to CRC7 (second update of Oreo) and I've already got twice the phone with a flat battery:
last week in the morning I found it at 1% from 35% the night before (during the night only the gsm network was active, everything else off); when in doubt I did a factory data reset by installing only minimal applications (FB, whatsup and little else) and I installed the Accubattery application to monitor the battery.
Last night put away (active gsm only) at 65% of residual charge and this morning after 10 hours it was 5%: 60% of charge consumed in one night.
Android does not report any abnormal consumption of any application .... it seems an anomalous battery drain
I enclose battery data screenshots; is not that the new Oreo update is buggy? or could the battery or the phone power circuit or the radio part that consume excessively might have a problem? Before bringing it to service I wanted your opinion and in case I wanted to try to put back the CRB7 version of Oreo .... how do I do it? do I lose the guarantee in this case?

i'vre tried with beaming service but clicking three dots top-right corner of app info screen not available for this app : three dots top-right corner are for all the apps
Do you have a drain simillar to mine ? Help me please !!

I have the exact same problem as you and many others. I have tried various things to solve it and I concluded on that the modem firmware has a serious bug . airplane mode consumes more battery than on cellular. To make sure we are talking about the same thing please try removing your SIM card and let it all night . By the morning you have to be -2% of the battery . With the SIM inside now you have to drain 15-20% . If thats the case for you , you make sure that its not a faulty device and there is no drain from your setup (like an application draining etc .. in this case factory reset should fix it).
Cinfirm your findings and lets hope they will release update soon.

he doesn't do it every night, but random : in a week it happened twice
It's not in airplane mode, modem is switched on only for phone line (LTE off) ; I already tried two factory reset
Yours is affected only in airplane mode ?
Tonight , my s8 have to drain 60 % in 9 hours !

It drains in general but while in cellular it's difficult to distinguish if it's a bug or bad signal . Each ones phone may consume different amounts of energy depending on coverage etc. But in airplane mode you can be sure it's a bug because antenna transmission should be off and therefore not consuming energy . Just try as I said just to be sure we have the same issue . One night with airplane mode and SIM card in and another night airplane without SIM. You should see great difference .

Tonight ( gsm on ) have no drain : 0,3 % / h. ( 3 % in 10 hours ).
if it is faulty the battery should always do it?
Did you try to see if it drains, leaving the radio part active?

This will not help determine the bug because as I told you it's signal dependant. It's 3% in 10 hours because you probably had good signal . Else it could be more and even if you contact a service they will say it's not a bug but the signal . Anyway if you were with data on and 4g seems more than fine to me . Now if you try this night airplane mode for 10 hours it could drop 15-20% ... is this reasonable ?

Your case seems more like a random application wakelock . Did you do a reboot between the 2 nights?
To distinguish better the cause of the drain , when you see an abnormal consumption try removing your SIM card for a while . If this fix the drain it's the buggy modem/radio firmware ...

workaround for 70000.ssusb wakelock power drain

I was having heavy power drain due to the 70000.ssusb kernel wakelock. I tried almost everything from flashing my ROM to replacing the battery to replacing the motherboard and nothing helped.
I've found a workaround to it though (a fellow user had posted it on some thread).
If you're facing power drain due to this wakelock, buy an otg adapter and connect it to your phone, without a pendrive. This fixed the issue.
I used have less than 3 hours of SoT but now it's 6 hours.
You can also root your phone and change some otg settings to fix it, but this is a safe workaround without root.
A lot of people are facing this issue, so thought I'd post this.
Screenshots for reference.

Did you get your USB ports changed in the service center?
Nah they wouldn't get it changed saying they're perfectly fine.
I used to have it on 8.0, but during some updates and patches it disappeared.
I think the problem is in the port, I have reasons to believe mine has water damage.
Don't have a otg adapter but disabling USB host via software does the trick to stop this wakelock.

I have this wakelock too! BUT!
I flashed yesterday Mint kernel, left the phone for 8 hours from 100% charge, came back and battery was at 99%. Phone was in deep sleep 99% of the time. Still have this wakelock but I guess mint kernel does something to prevent battery drain. On stock kernel it was draining battery about 20% in a period of 8 hours

Yes always root is required to modify system files.
Open terminal emulator execute su, then paste the command and execute

After few days of researching and testing, this 7000000.ssusb wakelock has nothing to do with battery drain, at least in my case. And it does NOT prevent my phone to go into sleep. One time wakelock count was about 4000, and phone was Awake (Screen Off) only 1-2 minutes. Battery did not drain at all during the 8 hour test.
Airplane mode ON = No drain
Airplane mode OFF - Removed SIM cards - wifi ON = Drained ~15% overnight
Airplane mode ON - wifi enabled = Drain ~15% overnight
Airplane mode OFF - wifi disabled = Drain 1% overnight.
All this time 7000000.ssusb ''wakelock'' was present.
I suspect that wireless router is causing drain overnight or something related to wireless network.
I got this wakelock too. But in my case this wakelock occured after I flashed stock rom (july update) via MiFlashTool because my rom wont boot properly after installing custom rom (like wont boot after restarting, bootlooping). I've tried with flashed 8.1 stock rom and with any custom rom + kernel that I know have a good deep sleep (LR + Project K v16, this gave me 1% overnight drain with wifi and mobile data on earlier) but still it drains me like 20% over night. I'm googling here and there, someone posted that he can get rid of this problem by following restore imei guide but he said that we shouldn't following that guide if we are not messing with our imei or we are not losing our imei, so I'm afraid to do that. I'm still wondering why reflashing stock rom make a new wakelock problem that we really didn't want.
Hello guys, the only solution i found it´s using the metaphoenix kernel. Its the only kernel where my phone can go to deep sleep and not having wakelocks we are all suffering. i dont know what does the kernel do but with other kernel in idle/hour i had 3-4% and with metaphoenix i get 0.6-0.8% idle/hour. i hope this helps you out.
Greetings
I finally solved my drain issue and it was not 7000000.ssusb related, even if this ''wakelock'' is still present my phone goes into deep sleep well with only 0%-1% drain overnight (8 hour period). Also my SOT increased drastically, from 5 hours to almost 10 hours (Custom ROM and kernel, from 100% to 1%) Now i charge my phone every second day! :highfive:
I bought Xiaomi Mi Wifi 3C router. Drain from 15%-20% dropped to 0%-1%. Tried 2 routers before Xiaomi router and both caused battery drain during idle (routers were cheap and old - Netis and TP-Link).
So before assuming this wakelock is the cause for drain, please consider checking other things.
Turn OFF wifi during the night, if battery drain reduces drastically then consider replacing router (assuming you checked for other symptoms that can cause drain)
I also have NETLINK wakelock, but drain is still 0%-1% in the 8 hour period.
