SOT can be stretched till 10 hours on this phone.
i used this phone for mira cast for a movie around 3.5 hours and battery drain was from 71% to 28%.

I can easily score 6 hours of SOT from this device. ( wifi always On , Data On when wifi not available , GPS On , 50% Brigtness ).

Since it's a 1080p IPS panel, I think you could probably get around 5-6 hours screen on time with the Honor 6X.

If you don't use your device that often for gaming or as a media player, you will get more screen on time with it. I am impressed that you managed 10 hours of screen on time with the Honor 6x!

You should be able to get over 6 hours screen on time with a FHD display pretty easily and if it was an AMOLED display it would be much easier.

I just scored over 7 hours on 29 hours of battery life. Best I've ever seen for a non rooted device. I'm hard pressed on my decision to keep this phone. I'm not concerned with development, so that's not a factor. Im searching for unlocked phones for at or around $400 to replace my LG v20 and my wife's note 5. So far I'm happy with it. I only wish the screen had a bit more pop to it. My v20 is also LCD, but the colors seem abit more alive. I played with the mate 9 at best buy the other day and that screen seemed amazing for an LCD. Considering the size of the battery in that phone plus Nougat, and the changes in emui5, I'm almost leaning that way, then it blows my whole point of looking for a budget minded flagship specced phone. This is the highest I achieved so far.If you are away from power source for a long time you may need to try this.I used power saver in l speed mode+ reduced resolution+set cpu governer to powersave. There was no much lag,may be because of reduced resolution.I used data all time, mainly whatsapp and browsing, tethered for some time, and watched videos .I think it may be possible to extend time further if you really need.please try and report.

Just an update on this.
Pubg released an update today and now the game flies with much higher graphics settings selectable. And it seems to run cooler.
So happy with this phone, it might be the best phone I've had.

How's the screen look? And speed of the device? Hard to hold?
Exteremly perplexed. Out of the box this things battery was amazing on day 1.. 5 hours sot from 60pc to 20+. On day 4, just watching YouTube and scrolling on Instagram for 40 minutes the battery dropped 10pc! Disappointing for a 7nm chip and 5000mah. Ive been monitoring battery consumption and apps, which I haven't installed much. Projected to have 55 hours left on battery, 70 hours on saving and 230 hours on ultra. Do you guys think it's still calibrating?
Yeah, i think it's still calibrating... Remember to never charge your phone to 100% and never plug the charger when it like 1%... Always charge from 20% to 80% ... This will you will have a great battery life...
Excellent battery!

This phone is a beast.
With same configuration my Mate 9's best was 6+ hours SOT, Mate 10 pro was just about 7 hours.
Power saving mode off.
Auto brightness on except while on total darkness.
Double SIM cards from different providers active the whole time.
Walking and driving half of the day.
No WiFi at all except when I had to transfer a few GB of data to another phone via WiFi direct.
YouTube vanced active most of the time when screen was on plus a few hours while screen was off too. You can see I downloaded 1.4GB of data yesterday and that was mostly 240p video and last two hours 144p video.
I forgot to say I had Bluetooth on for more than 10 hours, and that's exactly how long time I was playing videos on YouTube vanced. Because I listen through the wireless earbuds.
Is anyone having shorter SOT post the emui9.1 update?
at least it's worse with me than with 9.0

First of all, GSM Arena's unit was faulty and didn't do well in their test. Battery life on this phone is superb even though it has "only" a 3000 mah battery. I got 5 hours and still 15 percent left. I have to go to bed now so I'm gonna put it on charge but it lasted me all day and more.
I'm using a Huawei Watch 2 connected all day through Bluetooth (that drains a lot), 2 SIM cards, WhatsApp and WhatsApp business and loads of social networking.
Motorola does some really high quality batteries. It's probably better than other phones with 3500 - 4000 mAh.
I'm also satisfied with the SOT.
I was also positive surprised about battery life, I get between 5 and 6 h sot, much better than my LG G6 who has a bigger battery on paper but only gets around 5 h sot in real life.
Can anybody confirm that battery is long lasting for people who don't have screen turned on all the time? I'm giving screenshots for my good old g5s plus.

That's super good. Can't believe people and blogs are spreading so much hate of this phone.
I am Not very Happy with my screen on time, but it is ok.
The Phone is awesome,i Like it very much.
Another example: this time a little better at almost 7 hrs SOT at 15%.
And another for over 8 hrs at 15%.
Do you guys use your phones? You seem good candidates for flip phones. Just teasing.
Glad to see the Plus is doing so well. I opted for the dual sim Power. I'm gettin 12-14 hours screen time and have no problems breaking 40 hours. I backpack a lot and wanted the longer battery life for mapping and music while out in the back country for a few days. I have to say I am impressed. the 720 display on the Power is pretty nice for a 720 but it does have a flipping big notch.
I'm getting over 5 and a half hours of SOT. :good: (Right after a factory reset)
What's up?
I'm getting this:
I was using mostly Chrome and about 20 minutes playing Asphalt 8 and using camera for about 3 minutes. Brightness is at about 50% usually.
If I have brightness on 100% (outdoor in sunny days) I'm getting about an hour less SoT during the same time frame (22 hours).

Amazing for me. Heavenly 7-11 hours of SOT ?? (mainly Youtube) but bare in mind I came from Lg v10 (2 hours at best
I got About 7 hour sot !
With gaming (clash royale, brawl stars and clash of clans)
Social media(Instagram,twitter, Telegram)
And Youtube
good sot here after adb debloat. near on par with my previous devis ( moto z play )
I get only 6 hours sot?? And yes I've made changes to the settings to optimize the battery do some units just ship with ****tier batteries?
No complains
In almost every review I saw/read of this phone I hear the reviewer complaining about the battery being worse than expected. In my experience with this phone and S8 before, SOT will slowly get better and after a couple of weeks, it will be at its best. I don't understand why this isn't noticed by those reviewers.
After about 10 days of use, I was surprised by almost 10 hours of SOT, just browsing and reading.

Amazing Battery Life!
Galaxy A50 Pro
To be honest, I bought this phone mostly because of it's screen on time! I usually get 7-8 hours SOT which I think is great! My LG G6 was a great phone, everything was awesome except the battery life! I would get 4-4.5 hours of screen on time, which was not enough! That's the reason I opted for Galaxy A50! 8 hours SOT with Super Amoled display was the sole reason!
[Galaxy A50] I use mobile data when I'm out of home, GPS is always on with the highest accuracy setting, manual brightness 40%-60%, always on display, AdGuard app, internet speed meter app running all the time! Most of time I use Chrome, Youtube, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter and some other apps.
Galaxy A50 Cons
There's few things that are terrible like Cellular Signal Strength is very poor comparing my other phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and LG G6! Mobile data really sucks! On screen fingerprint is way too slow! Even won't recognize always if you don't place your finger in the exact place of the screen! Oh man! It has been a real pain in the ass for me! I would like to get back my physical rear fingerprint from my previous phones! They are so fast and this on screen fingerprint is just crap!
Sometimes Wifi would stop working and you would probably scratch your head to figure out whats wrong! After diagnosing your router and internet connection, you would be so pissed to know that everything was just fine! Now you would reboot the phone! Bang! Wifi works again!

I'm waiting for users feedbacks about its SOT. I think that it will beat some records...
I'm expecting this phone to thrive in this category. The screen isn't some crazy 4K resolution and combine that with the 5000 mAh battery and we should have great SOT.
I have a bad itch to get a new phone and am tempted to get the OnePlus 7 Pro but I hear the 90hz refresh rate and fancy new screen are killing SOT
Whoever is going to post SOT, do not forget to mention screen resolution used, "tweaks" and "measures" taken in settings etc. Also show full screenshots. Thanks.
7 nm SoC coupled with a mostrous battery, it is expected to deliver great, great battyerylife.
As long as its well optimized. Other phones with big batteries have been awful due to power wastage.

There is a good review on youtube user name "Geekyranjit" He talks about the cons but says SOT is average gettting 4.5-6, he felt dropping the panel down to 60hz did not boost it enough. His biggest con he felt is that it is just really big, not balanced real well and it is heavy at over 200g. The Asus is a little smaller at 6.4 vs 6.67. I am just dying to order a new phone and replace the G7 ThinQ I am using that I got dirt cheap because of a cracked back glass corner but I have it in a Spigen so who cares.
I feel I should wait to see the Asus release and price in US as it may be what i go for. My concern is Asus updates but it will have an active ROM community I imagine

I found the LG G6 was just horrible overall and its battery life was garbage. I now have a G7 ThinQ and I have to say I will not buy another LG phone again. Prior to the G7 I tried HTC U11, P10 Plus and Essential PH1, that is the phone I regret selling , it was excellent , even the camera w the google cam port was decent but the overall aspects of the phone were very good
I wish Asus would release in US sooner

Chigztech on YouTube posted 9hrs 12mins sot with 6% remaining. I don't know if it was wifi or mobile but the Nex S exceeds those numbers with 1,000mah less. My best so far, mostly on wifi, has been 9hrs 4mins with 14% remaining and a new update a few days ago looks like it can approach 11 hours sot.
Battery life is very good according to gsmarena review.
https://m.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_6-review-1937.php
Wow not a lot of good to be said for the display.
This is a bit of a let down and is now making me re-consider this as a purchase, I watch a lot of YouTube so a decent display is kinda required.
Ah well...
SOT is about 11h which is insane for me. my phone now averaging 4.30 hours - 5 hours.
Asus says the screen is IPS with 600 nits and 100% DCI-P3 which should be plenty bright and color corrected. GSMarena for sure loves AMOLED but for my usage it looks like good enough.

That Pixel 3a time was a surprise. Goes to show those who don't need a top-end chipset may be better saving the cash and enjoying the efficiency of mid-tier chips like the SD 6xx. Zenfone 6 does look fantastic for battery time, but not getting quite the 20% extra time from the 20% bigger battery, even against the 90hz OnePlus 7 Pro. Hope some software adjustments can be made to further improve it, because it's great, but not as good as expected when compared to others.

Indeed. GSMarena confirmed that in the browsing test and or in the talktime test, the ZenFone outlasted the others by a huge margin.
But how did you get 30% more? It was almost exactly 20% more than the 7 pro.
As a quick info: during setup of the phone, I lost around 25% over 10 hours with around 4 hours SOT. let's see how this settles during normal usage.
Edit: after day 1 and my regular usage pattern, I lost about 20%. This is about on par with the Lenovo P2. I will still have to see if a longer screen usage drains more (I suspect this due to the LCD instead of the AMOLED). Will report this later...

While I don't believe you would get that amount of SOT over a prolonged period, it does point out that raw mah isn't everything.
I agree it won't get that much in real life. I am curious however how the SOT will be for people that will not use the radar, no AOD and possibly even no face unlock, stay on 60hz and just want a great camera, good speed and latest assistant and have the best Google ecosystem experience. I am that kind of user.
I looked at the 3axl but it is noticeably slow and I need a fast phone for different work needs.

no doubt, those conditions that you just stated should save a substantial amount of battery life. My 6T is 3700mah and I get around 6-8hrs sot(depending on usage) no reason to think the pixel can't achieve that with superior software.
Got the phone yesterday, charged all the way up before turning on at about 5pm. Went to bed about midnight. Galaxy S2 watch connected around 7 pm. Did setup, some netflix, and typical messing around with a new phone. Didn't screen shot it, but when I was going to bed last night, I had 4h03M SOT with 47% left. I don't expect it to translate to 7hrs or anything, but it seems better than my previous Note 9 and S8+.

I believe they meant the screen brightness was under 75%. When it is, the screen only runs at 60hz.
So I've had the Pixel 4 XL , for 3 full days in the UK now.
Day 1 SOT was 6 hrs 3 mins with 9% left
Day 2 SOT was 6 hrs 15 min with 4 % left
Day 3 SOT is 5 hrs 1 min with 18% left.
The battery is more than adequate. I had the 3 XL which would get a max of just over 4 hours. I'm new.to the forum but I have screenshots as well but don't have a clue how to upload lol. The phone is on 90hz at all times too But most times you can't really tell. It's an amazing phone so fast, the disappointment is video quality again and some of the pic quality is similar levels to 3 XL but I need to fully utilise the camera.
I got similar SOT with 6 hr 12 min and 9% battery left. This with using "force" 90hz , 87% brightness , and always on display (thought it was not always on!). Battery is more than adequate for my usage.
