This is actually really nice.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs

could have been better

Not comparable to honor 8 or iphone 7 but certainly a bwtrer one in this price.

Noisy in dark
But with flash on it takes decent macro shots
But in this price point every phone suffers
I have trued moto Xiaomi and Asus and i can say low light performance is comparable to most of the competition

I never take pictures in low light so I won't care,

low light performance is not that great.but acceptable

Below average low light.

Pretty decent low light performance for a budget phone.

This camera is not good and feels like something from 2012 in low light.
Not the sharpest tool in your pocket. Very grainy. But if you hold the camera very still it's ok.
Horrible compared to Note 8, Pixel 2XL and even the 500 dollar OnePlus5T
Razer Really need to fix this camera. Its terrible in low light. Although the camera app is pretty bad google camera app helps a fair bit.

The rear camera in low light situations is awesome. But the selfie in low light is very bad, even when I am outside at night and there's a lot of lights.

Camera is exceptionally good.. It is performing great in every condition..
I think there is improvement need to be made in this department. Photos are over saturating in low light in default camera modes but are fine if settings are changed.

May I know what are kind of settings I need to change to reduce the over-saturation under low light condition ?
Would anybody be so kind to post some low light shots with the new AIS update? The update is expected to boost the phone’s l camera performance in the dark!
Low light is pretty impressive on the Honor 10. Much better than other phones in it's price range.

I can confirm the results from the P30 Pro over here for the P30: https://www.forbes.com/sites/bensin...vs-iphone-xs-vs-samsung-galaxy-s10-vs-lg-v40/
It is no contest compared to other phones. It can basically see at night.
Low light or NO light photography is unmatched. You can virtually see in the dark.
During the launch event in Delhi, I was able to get my hands on for short period of time and this is what I could capture quickly in the completely dark room. (there were other better shots captured by the device). This is the one I recorded quickly.

can you put some more pictures in low light? I considering to buy p30 (not pro version)
Seen tests with the latest smartphone models such as OP7/OP7 Pro, Mi9/Mi9T or Zenfone 6 2019 and none can match the P30 series in low light conditions. P30 does also have a huge benefit of being smaller and does not feel like a brick in your pocket such as the latest flagships.
Why there is no thread for Huawei P30 lite? Nothing can be found.
It's really great in low light! The moon looks unrealistic, maybe because of using ESRGAN to enhance the photo, but still great.
Sucks at greenery

Really impressive low light performance as expected.
Night mode portrait shots are unreal. I have been comparing to my wife's pixel 4 and the difference really is night and day

That's interesting that the night mode has better results on the Pixel 5 compared to the Pixel 4. The camera hardware and software are both exactly the same.

You see any problem in display like hitting in outdoors if you use only few minutes
Test

Low light photos taken with the wide lens are horrendous, once the ISO creeps up they are quickly become unusable with terrible noise towards the corners.
Of course you can use night sight and then you don't have a lowlight photo any more.
