Convert my Internal SD CARD, which is shown as external Memory to Internal Memory. - Xolo Q700, Q700i

I am using Xolo Q700s Cynogenmod Lollipop
I installed Cynogenmod 12.1 V3 stable. In that they had made inbuilt feature that External SD CARD is loaded as internal memory i.e SDCARD0. I want to chnage that because as I don't have any SD Card I cannot operate my phone. eg xender says sd card disabled and don't open. bluetooth says : transfer unsuccessful as sd card not found to save files. Cannot save books or data from app as download fails as my phone has no external sd card.
I tried changing fstab file but when i reboot the phone it gets back to default settings. I searched a lot but cannot find way to transfer internal sd card from external to internal memory. I can't understand how to change this setting in cynogenmod
Pls Help.
if possible reply at [email protected].
Edit 1 : When I checked fstab file in /system folder, the command was written as in last 2nd line: sdcard1:8 non-removable. What this is.
Pls help me, I cannot use my phone, cannot install and run apps and my phone is of no use to me.

[Q] Apps on my internal SD card disapeared when i put in external sd card

Hi
I'm using Go launcher EX. I bought a 16GB micro sdhc card for my huawei titan u8800. When i put it in suddenly over half of my apps disapeared from the app list and in my homescreens they only showed the green loading icon. When i try to click on them on the home screen it says that the application is not installed. I think it was the apps that i had moved to the internal storage that disapeared. In the memory info it still says that the internal memory card is almost used up so it doesnt seem to have been deleted. After i took out the card and rebooted they came back after about 10 minutes. Is it any way to get the apps back while i have the sd card in?
which rom are you using? Stock 2.2.2, cm7, miui?
I am using android 2.2.1 that came with the phone.
So, you din't have an external sd card and used the internal sd to install some apps there?
When put the external sd card, the system start to use this card instead of the internal, and the apps which are installed on internal sd card are no longer be installed.
Therefore, you need to copy them from internal sd to external sd.
You need to copy the folders .android_secure and Android(if exists), and also Data(if exists too) from HWUserData folder to external sd' s root directory.
I think this will solve your problem. If this works, you can after delete these folders from internal sd.
It worked! Thank you very much! Glad i didnt have to reinstall all my applications again....

[Q] gellmar's StockMergE400 or SDMergE400 problem

Hi there,
I've flashed SDMergE400 and it has been working good on my L3 E400 CM9.
But if my externel SD card becomes malfuntional, i.e. the phone can't read the externel SD card, as the system data is saved there, will the phone not be able to boot up?
One more question: when I wipe data and dalvic cache, will it wipe out all my data and saved files in the external SD card?
Thx for any reply.
Re
Your external sd card is taken as the internal memory while the internal(actual internal) is merged with ur system rom , if ur sd card is malfunctioned ur phone will boot but the apps which are moved to ur sd card will not work properly, and if u clean ur data the sd card is untouched while ur system is cleaned ( which after installing sdmerge is system rom + internal sd )
Let me be clear now ur internal memory is ur actual external sd card and ur system memory is actual (system memory + internal memory) Hope i helped you if anything more u can ask and i will help you out
thx for the reply.
I'm just confused coz before I applied sdmerge, the internal memory was read as disc F while the external one as G when I connect the phone to PC. But after sdmerge, I hv only disc F which shows my external SD card contents while disc G has nth. The icon disc G is still there but the color is paler n it shows to insert disc G when I click on it.
Also I can see folders like 'Android' in the external SD card root. Isn't it a system folder? if yes, then why it appears there in the external card?
thx for reading n reply n I know that's a lot.
SDMergE doesn't do anything to your EXTERNAL card. It simply merges system memory and the INTERNAL memory into one.
There's nothing important in the Android folder on your external SDcard, probably just some app data you moved to the SDcard, nothing else. Check what's inside. If it's empty, just delete the folder.
Go to settings> storage and use the left soft key and then select usb mass storage rather than media device then u'll not get that greyed g drive....... and the android folder in ur external sd card has data of apps you moved

I hv flashed the 14July cm9 nightly and applied step 4 successfully.
However, I notice that whatever version I hv flashed, the cyanogenmod version in Setting-->About phone always show its 9-20130313-unofficial-e400. Is it becoz of sdmerge??

Internal SD card disappeared!

I was having a weird bug. I could create folders on the internal SD card.
I was reinstalling an emulator (Drastic) when it started throwing a strange error about not being able to create a saves folder. After some investigation I found out I could not create *any* folder at all in the internal SD. More specifically, I cannot create a folder on the root of the internal SD; the external SD and all the other folders of the internal SD work as normal. In other words, I can not create a folder on /storage/sdcard0
Now, however, my internal SD cards has simply vanished! I am unable to find it on Settings > Storage or on my card. After rebooting back and forth it is back up, however it doesn't appear on my PC (neither in Linux nor in Windows) when I connect using mass storage, nor can I still create folders. The external SD appears on Windows Explorer as normal (and I can run chkdsk on it).
Running chkdsk on the internal SD yields the following error message: "Cannot open volume for direct access." even though it is listed on the drive list.
I think I have provided all the info I can. I would be grateful for any help.
PS: Nobody on my device forum seems to have this issue, so it's not a ROM or device problem.
You tried reflashing with other ROM mate?

The problem was not the ROM. Yesterday I ran fsck on it and it fixed all issues.

Are you sure that the microsd card is ok with no damage ? I kindly advise that you can test the condition of the microsd card directly on other PCs or make use of this microsd card after inserted into a gadget like the following : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GLL40SA . If it works, you may try to format the card and process the same operation like creating folders. Remember to back up the important data anyway.

How to extend internal storage

Hello everyone, I would like to extend my internal storage. I am using Android M on my XT1562.
I tried to use my SD card has an internal storage but unfortunately it stops formatting at 30%. After a reboot the SD card is shown as internal storage but if I open ES file explorer for example the storage capacity is still 10gb (which is the capacity of the internal storage). So I will have to use it as an external storage as before.
Is there any option to change for example the download folder/the install folder for new apps to the external SD card? Or do I need to root the phone?
Another question is if I could use my SD card as internal storage how about transferring files to my PC? How does that work?

Once you format your SD card as internal storage, it can not be seen in any file manager. Also it cannot be seen on pc. Although you can move data through settings which shows your internal and SD card storage but you can only view it through by going to settings.
You cannot the change the location of apps to be installed in Android 6.0

Once you have set the SD card to internal any apps that you install that could previously be moved to the SD card will install to the SD card, any apps that could not be previously install to the SD card will install on the internal memory.

Installing apps direct to the SD card.

I'm on a Redmi 3S with 16 GB internal storage which runs on unofficial version of LineageOS by Fedosis. I was not using an SD card, hence everything was in the internal memory itself.
As the app and app data is getting huge, I wanted to move this to an external storage. So I got a 32 gig SD card. While setting up the card, I used the option "as internal memory". After installation I could not access my phone memory. And when I rebooted to recovery via TWRP, I cannot see this SD card. Only thing I could see was phone memory. So it's kind of a complication to flash apps.
So I again formatted the SD card and set it up "as portable memory". Now I can access the phone memory normally and in TWRP also. But when I try to move the apps, [eg: Hearthstone, Flamingo, etc] it says, it's not possible.
So, how should I set up my new SD card, so that I can move the existing apps into it and also install new apps to the same SD card?
format as internal storage and then go to appsettings and manually move them to external memory. but this isnt supported by all apps.
to flash something with twrp than, you have to put the file you want to flash into /data/media/0/TWRP
