I think I hard bricked my 727 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

I've had my US model 727 Pro 3 for a month or so, and all was pretty good. I got the bootloader unlocked, rooted it, but was having trouble with the filesystem remaining read only, so I couldn't make build.prop edits and xposed showed that it was running, but the modules weren't doing anything. So, I finally figured I'd start over from scratch, wiped everything using the AIO toolkit, and flashed TWRP again. Now my phone won't boot up at all. No vibrations, nothing but a black screen whether I try holding just the power button, power plus volume up, down, or both up and down. Any suggestions, or am I just SOL?

Have you tried adb? I'm assuming you have. That's why I don't trust the toolkit I prefer to manually flash things.

I used adb/fastboot to manually flash TWRP, then the device went dead when I tried to reboot from fastboot into TWRP. I can't get it to power on at all now. I tried following steps I found in a thread on fixing a hard brick with the Qualcomm QIF tool, and it seemed to recognize the phone, but still didn't get it to boot.

Did it run out of power? Try charging it?

Sometimes mine gets in a mode where I have to hold down the power button for a real long time (45 seconds or so). Give it a try.

Did you flash the correct twrp?

It was fully charged when this started, and when I plug it in now, there's no LED indicator or on-screen battery display to show that it's charging.

I've tried holding it for a long time (haven't timed it, but I think for around a minute). I'll try even longer and see what happens.

Yep. Same version that had worked for me previously. I assume that if it was just a bad flash, that I'd be able to get into fastboot mode, but that's not working, either.

Do you get any qualcom diagnostics port when connected to computer?

If you hold power and volume down you can't get into fastboot?

I was able to connect to it via the Qualcomm software, but wasn't able to get it to power up after flashing the "hard brick fix" files I found in a Qualcomm brick fix post. I may try this again a bit more meticulously before trying to send the device back.

Tried that. Tried holding down power for over a minute, tried holding power + volume down for a minute, tried power + volume up for a minute, even tried holding all three down for at least 30 seconds. Nothing. The only indication I get that the device isn't completely fried is when I plug it into the myth desktop while running the Qualcomm diagnostic software, but I can't get it to boot up with that program, either.

I have the same issue. My Le Pro 3 died using Open Camera, taking pictures. It does not power on, does not respond to anything, no key combinations work, no charging progress, nothing, looks dead.

Basically, thats whats going on. I've followed instructions on various threads, tried everything. The phone simply will not boot into recovery no matter what I try. Is there anything left I can do?
Let it sit for a day and try again. It worked for me many times in the past. Sometimes Odin would recognize my phone that wasn't even in a download mode.

try to odin back to stock
1. Start Odin
2. Plug USB cable into pc
3. Power off the Phone.
3. Pull the Battery.
5. Plug USB cable into Phone.
6. Press and Hold: Volume UP + Volume DOWN + Power, all at the same time.
7. Re-insert the battery.
8. The phone will power now, when the screen starts a cycle of going to a BLACK screen, release ONLY the POWER button.
9. When you see the download icon release the volume buttons,
10. Odin back to stock by putting the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.
Or try that same method without holding the power button, just the volume rocker (up and down) when plugging into usb that works for some ppl
The vibrant is tough to hard brick so keep trying

[Q] Cant Get into AP Fast Boot!

I accidentally,... . unknowingly wiped the RED "system" button in Safestrap 3.12 on my Droid RAZR M today. (I was suppose to be wiping the cash and dalvik, but missed) I'm a retard I know. :crying:
Now I cant get into AP Fastboot to restore the phone from this hard brick!
When I press the power button along with the volume buttons, the only thing that happens is the red Motorola 'M" appears for a few seconds then the safe strap screen appears with the little sad robot, but that's it no AP Fastboot. Pressing the on screen buttons to enter Safestrap Recover do not respond. Oh boy I'm afraid I really did it this time. Its on the charger but i don't know if its even charging with out as OS?
Battery power was at 60% before i bricked it (i think). RSD Lite or my PC for that matter don't even see the phone when its plugged in.
Can this be saved? Or do I need to take a trip down to the Verizon Wireless store?

Try holding power & volume down until the screen flickers then hold power and both volume buttons. You gotta be quick
If your boot loader is locked you won't be able to fast boot back until the new fast boot files come out though if your on 4.1.2

New to this, i accidentally the whole phone, same problem im in AP fastboot but registers as Device Locked

This thread saved my life, then killed me. The suggestion about the different keys was spot on, i got into fast boot mode, then ran that utility. It totally failed me, I must have killed my phone pretty dead, and now there are no more key combos (the suggested one worked at first but now its just making the screen go blank) to try to get back into fast boot to try again. any more suggestions? on the up side verizon just pushed that update so i figure i can blame that to attempt an exchange
Did you take the update before using that utility? If you did, which version did you use? If you were already updated, then you needed to run 1.20. If you ran the wrong utility, that will cause issues. Now, since you can't boot, it sounds like your battery is dead. When you get to the blank screen, plug it in and leave it to charge for a while.
I'm no expert by any means but I'll try to help as best i can. If not me I'm confident someone else will. Now, I apologize because I didn't understand your original post.
Could you elaborate a little more please?
1. What were you trying to do with your phone prior to things going wrong, if they went wrong at all.
2. you mentioned AP Fastboot. So IM going to assume that at least you can access it. (not the same problem that I was having) that's a good thing! lol
3. Are you utilizing a utility like the one by Matt? Or are you doing something else? Like flashing firmware etc.
4. What were you in Fastboot for? What were your intentions?
I hope this doesn't come over a condescending. Just trying to get a Clearer understand of your issue so we can help.

I changed 2 lines in my build.prop file so i could see if I could get touchless control.
After I changed it, I restarted my phone. Now it is stuck in the Red M Boot, and it stays there, dosent black screen, dosent boot. I can get to the boot selection menu, but i cant choose anything, they all end up at the Red M. I Read that I can fix it in AP Fastboot, but I can get there. Also if i force it off (with power button and volume button) It just goes back to the Red M.
Everything I do ends up at the Red M

Holding the combination of buttons will only cause it to reboot, every time. Holding the power button down will make it shutdown. With that being said, what was your battery like before you started all of this? If it's below 50%, you're going to have a hard time. Shut the phone down and charge the battery ovenight, prior to attempting to fastboot.
If your battery is good, then you can fastboot. Hold all three buttons down, until you get the phone to power off. As soon as power goes off, you'll see a quick line flash at the top of the screen. As soon as you see this flash, quickly let go of the power button and then re-press it. If you got it right, you'll go into the fastboot menu. If you got it wrong, it will attempt to reboot. If it reboots, just try the button combo again. Once you get into the fastboot menu, use the vol- key to get to the option you need, and then hit the vol+ to choose that option.

Yeah, bad kernel. That's designed for a SGS3 and CM9 ROMs. With that being said, it won't boot all? The bad kernel shouldn't prevent you from booting into recovery, but like Panther said, your battery may be dead. Leave it on the charger for a while and see what happens. Use Panther's button combo to boot straight into recovery and restore a backup. You can also try holding all three buttons to get into the fastboot menu. Once in the menu, use vol- to go to your choice and vol+ to select your option. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Try a factory reset. The procedure is in the phone manual. Something like phone off then power and vol. Down at same time then some other things after that. Heard it works for those who royally screw the pooch.

EDIT: actually since you can't get into recovery try a different button combo. Some people say pressing all 3 keys at once works, some say just vol down + power.
Are you sure you had enough battery before flashing TWRP?

This is a scarry thread!
Any updates?
when I plug the phone to the PC it recognize it as hard drives (more than 10 hard drives with small sizes from 32 meg to 10 meg ) most of them can not be accessed or protected .
than it all I got now
I did the same thing 2 nights ago. I used flashify to flash TWRP but flashed it as boot file causing it to boot loop into recovery. I had to power the phone off through the TWRP interface. Then, with the phone unplugged and off , I held the volume up button for about 3 seconds before inserting the micro usb cable. Keep holding the volume up button until the phone displays download mode. If your laptop still does not recognize your device, make sure you have the correct drivers installed and verify again. Once you are in download mode and your drivers are installed, you can follow the steps in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 post to get your phone back to stock. Worked for me and I thought my phone was donezo. Also, I installed cleanrom after I finished the above process and am loving it. Hope that helps you out mate!

[Q] Phone is bricked help...

Hi everyone. I tried to downgrade from kitkat on my lg g2 d800 and I followed the guide and downloaded the necessary files but now my phone wont boot and windows can't detect it. I can't get into fastboot...please help
I think you just need to do a hard reset. Unless something went wrong during the flash?
Downgrading requires a factory reset. Power off the phone, press volume down and power button until the LG logo appears then press power again. Should take you to factory reset mode.
Otherwise you can flash KK again using the kdz from download mode (plug to your computer whilst holding volume up I believe)

Pleast try to reboot the phone(if not, just take out the battery.)
Thank you everyone. Something did go wrong during the flash...it just stopped abruptly at 12 percent. I tried doing a hard reset by holding the volume down and then letting go when the logo appeared and then pressing the buttons again. It says resetting in progress but then shuts off.

Fastboot doesn't work anymore...my pc doesn't recognize it anymore. Holding the power button brings the lg logo on but then it quickly disappears.

I think something did go wrong because I can no longer access fastboot by pressing the power button and holding +. Holding the power button and the volume - key and then letting go and pressing them again when the lg logo comes up again, brings up the hard reset menu. But when I confirm the reset the phone shuts off...
Try this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Don't know if you have experience with Ubuntu. But its easy to install and the process is easier than it looks.
Check if your phone has some if these symptoms. And please note that you CAN'T use the files provided in the OP. You need the files for D800.

I tried this and the command "ls /dev/sd*" doesn't detect the phone.
Why were you trying to Downgrade?

Unplug your device, run the following command and plug the device back in (maybe you have to execute the command again):
dmesg -c
This should show you all USB system events. Your phone should show up as /dev/s<omething>.
However, the phone needs to be powered on. If it shut's itself off, Linux probably can't connect to it ...

Thank you. I will try this later on today. The battery might have completely died which might mean that the phone was on the entire time...
You're welcome. And please don't forget the Thanks-button if my hint was helpful
