I have the same phone and need the same information.

Actually, I have been searching for this information for several months and have come up empty. I am wondering if there is a problem with this specific phone/model.

[Q] Help for a noob please!

Hey guys, I have recently inherited a note 3 (SM9005) it is however running the xnote ROM (version 13). I however want to shift back to the stock ROM (but still remain rooted).
I need a fool proof guide to do that, as I don't what to mess up the phone.
Thanks in advance and let me know if any further info is required.
Bump? If not that, I'd just like some instructions to update xnote to its latest build. And yes I've checked the xnote thread, but im still unsure on how to proceed as I don't want to mess up my phone.

[Q] Please help me with rooting & flashing

Hello there!
I have a Galaxy Note 3 i9005. I used to have it rooted (towelroot) but I accidentally updated the phone to version 4.4.2 which sadly removed my root. I've had my phone for about a year, and I feel it's time to spice things up with a new rom, but I find myself lost in this whole flashing jungle.
So, my questions are, is it possible for me to safely root & flash my phone? If so, could anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried searching a bunch but it's very hard to find in-depth guides explaining the process in detail. I don't even know if such a guide exists for the Note 3.
I live in Sweden so I don't think the phone has a locked bootloader if that affects anything.
Please help me.

I've rooted several new note 3 with this method..http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/root-root-xxufnf4-stock-firmware-knox-t2840150
I managed to root it with that method! Knox is 0x0, thanks for the pointer man
Now, I'd like to know how to flash a custom rom. I've been looking a lot at different custom roms, however I can't seem to decide which one I want. Besides, I don't even know if I'm able to flash my phone since I'm running Android 4.4.2. All guides takes for granted that you have some knowledge with flashing, which I don't.

You can find all the info you need in this post.
Don't know what your firmware is but the oldest base you can go is NB1 (4.4.2).
Root the phone with towel root.
Install either flash fire or safestrap and flash the desire lollipop rom.
Hello! I don't want to start a new thread just yet, but I'm also stuck in a bootloop after a mishap during a manual update. Is it possible to recover any of the internal files when recovering the phone, or is it impossible? Honestly, I just want the files off of my phone more than anything else. There are a lot of memories there that I would love to save...I know, I know, I should have backed up those files, but that chance is gone now. :crying:

Need Help Fresh Install of Stock 6.0

I did a mistake, it is possible to move this thread on help section?
Hi all, today ASUS released the OTA but in some days the full rom will be also avaible.
I want to do a fresh install but i don't know how do this :crying:
I was a Samsung S2 Plus user and there was really easy flash something but on ZF2 with fastboot and recovery i don't know where go.
I am using full stock ROM unroot never touched. There is a SAFE way to flash a full firmware? I read that someone deleted some partition and IMEI was lost
Thanks for the help.

LightDestory.

Help with Asus Zenfone V live

Hi forum!
I started this post because I couldn't find info about the Asus Zenfone V Live (V500KL).
I used this phone for a day and the wifi was fine, I did a factory reset because I was going to gift it to someone and the wifi didn't work anymore. Same thing happended with 3 devices (same model).
I tried using the software upgrade assistant from Asus and verizon, it downloaded the software and re installed it apparently but it didn't work.
Do you know if this can be fixed or if I can install a custom rom on this one? If installing a custom rom is possible, can I use these from the Zenfone 5 ?
Thanks a lot.

Hey. I'm in the same situation, too, but I have a Zenfone V (V520kl). I happened to pass by these links to take you to AutoRoot Tools to install TWRP and one of the following custom ROMs to your phone (the following are also YouTube Links):
Mod edit. Links removed. Youtube deleted the account.
I tried the AutoRoot .apk in the comments, but it told me to download an app and do something in it to move on. I did exactly that, but it wouldn't let me. Then I went to these websites, but these download websites want you answer a stupid survey for a reward to move on. And there's no other way to download a ROM to these phones. Also, I don't know about ROMs for the Zenfone V (V500KL), but there apparently are some for the V520KL. But you can find out if there are some for yours with AutoRoot Tools. You think you can answer one of these questions to download AutoRoot Tools for Windows? If so, upload the Windows zip you receive here so I can get a custom ROM too? Thanks, man. Really appreciate it.
