remove download speed from notification bar - Elephone S7 Questions & Answers

hi
my new elephone S7 has a link speed showing the current download speed of the wifi on the notification bar that anoys me very much.
I there any way to remove this? also like to remove the BIG 4G sign next to network signal.
thanks!

You can remove it in Settings - Display - Turn off "Display the real-time speed".
About 4G I think we can't remove it without Xposed.

is It posible to root and install Xposed?

Not yet, but soon I think.

It is possible I did but I was super tricky I can't explain in detail of how to do it but maybe in the future there be better instructions, finding the drivers was a mess making the flash tool work was a pain. It's is possible for root and Xposed

Any change in the camera? Anandtech had info about there was a problem in software that gave blurry pics. They decided not to put to much effort testing it before because now it was like a 2012 camera

I can confirm it's rootable the same as the previous version using the same tools.

I presume its the way to take screenshots and scroll down a page to make one long screenshot instead of lots of pieces like you usually have to do.

Is it still Android 6.0 or already updated to 6.0.1 or highter?
How do you take long screenshots plz

Loving Marshmallow.

Like having a new phone, all the Note5 features with an edge screen. Running smoother than ever, even the screen somehow looks brighter... I really don't want to upgrade now, unless Samsung really create something to tempt me.
Are the camera functions and all notifications back on the Edge Screen?

I have a question. By any chance do you have your WiFi network set up to use two SSIDs (one for the 2.4Ghz channel and one for the 5Ghz)? If so, are you able to see and connect to the 5Ghz channel? I'm not able to with the new update. It was working fine on 5.1.1, though.
How do we know it's connected to either 2.4ghz or 5ghz? I know old android phones let you choose which but I'm not sure how to do your test on the note edge.

I have an external SD card installed. I read that someone else was asked upon initial 6 install you could make it an extension of your internal memory or keep it as external.I was never given this option. I also get a notification upon reboot of a SD card installed and have to swype it away.
What are you guys exp re this. (Sprint Note edge)
Thanks!!
FYI i got mine OTA in Chicago

Actually I had this problem in 5.1.1 and after upgrading I don't see it anymore. I am not sure why your device is behaving this way. May be you can try a factory reset. One problem I do have is after every restart I am required to enter password as fingerprint process is not initialized. This is annoying at times. Overall experience is smooth otherwise.
And I flashed supersu 2.71. Works fine so far.

[7.1.1] How do I get the battery % outside of the icon, instead of inside?

Its really small inside the icon, and I can't see it too well. Anyway to get it outside of it? I know this is possible with gravitybox, but that hasnt been made for 7.1.1 yet. Any ideas? Also, anyway to get the clock in the center? Thanks guys

At this point, flash a custom ROM with features you want, unless you want to search for tons of little mods in the 6p apps and themes forum.

[A2017U:B29] Scheduled DND Force Closes

I just got my phone on Friday, and I've been going through the settings and configuring things. I have not inserted a SIM card yet, since I'm waiting for my case to be delivered before switching to the A7 full time. I am keeping it stock for now. I ran into an issue when setting up the time schedule for Do Not Disturb. When I click on the days, Settings stops. Has anybody else had this problem with the stock ROM?

Do not disturb is broken on B29, waiting patiently for NOUGAT to fix that issue.

Gravity box has a do not disturb setting, adjustable for weekdays and weekends. Requires xposed, unlocked bootloader, root, etc.

Thanks for the info. That has come to be a "can't live without it" feature. Tasker to the rescue until ZTE fixes it.

Android Pie

Hi everyone
I'm a little tired of how Samsung takes ages to give us the newest Android version (in this case it's pie). I mean, next year, wtf! Also, I looked for Android P ROMs, but for the few ones you find, half of the stuff doesn't work yet.
So I wanted to know if there's a possibility to do it myself. What I mean is: could I take a copy of everything that's installed on my phone right now, then customize it that everything stays as is (firmware, Samsung specific things (like gear VR)) keep working but swap the Android itself to Android 9.0 Pie? (Maybe as a bonus get rid of the Samsung apps you don't need, in my case that's everything except gear VR. Second bonus would be to be able to change the bixby button to a Google assistant button)
Hope someone can help me
Thanks in advance

I think its better to edit the build.prop and to change android 8 by android 9...
Less difficult...and you will have android 9

Would it be that easy? What will it do then? Will it download the upgrade or what will it do?
