Google Daydreams hack? - Google Cardboard

I was wondering on people's success with using this hack and whether it enables unsupported apps to be installed from the Play Store? I'm using the Nexus 6P.

Google Play Services Outside US

Well it look like whenever I go outside US (Mexico) Play Books, Play Movies, and Google Wallet will vanish from my homescreen and will not be available just like the Play Store services(but I already expected that) but if I go with a file manager they are still there but somewhat Google disables them...how can I restore them I really want to see my bought movies...I already tried using a VPN to make them available but only the Google Play Store services will return and install them manually doesn't work either...Please help

Click to collapse
1. Root -> a lot easier
2. Use VPN -> try DroidVPN
3. Use Titanium Backup -> defrost those apps (or use patched Wallet, for example)
U can use orbot too in the play store. I use that to get apps to work over here in germany

[Q] parental controls

Hi. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to manage parental controls with 4.2.1? I presume that I need to set up multiple users to manage access, but I'm really not sure where to start and the feature is so new that Google doesn't bring up any "how-to"s. What i want to accomplish is restricting access to the browser and managing access to apps and content through Google Play, all on unrooted Nexus 7s. Help?

My Nexus 10 is better than your tablet. Hah.
Well make the account and remove the Web browser and add a password onto their Google play account through the play store under settings

Location Spoofer and multiple profiles on the Nexus 10

Has anyone else tried using Location Spoofer on their Nexus 10 under a profile other than the main one?
My wife uses the main profile and I have a secondary profile (since she uses talk on the nexus 10). I watch the NHL games and need to use location spoofer to watch blacked out games. It seems you can only spoof location in the main profile, and if you then switch to a secondary profile, the location is not spoofed there.
Anyone else have any experience with this?
Thanks.

You need root with that, right? SuperSU doesn't have multi-user support yet - learned that in a similar way trying to set up my wife as main user.
But, the Superuser built in to the latest cm10.1 has mulit-user support... And I assume SuperSU will soon too.

[Q] Trusted places

Hi,
I've been using the 438 play services on my nexus 4 for a while until it crashed big time. So I decided to install the 436, updated through play store, but the thing is, there's no more 'trusted places' in the smart unlock. I'm I missing something?
By the way, I'm on stock 5.0.1, and play services 6.7.74(436).

Using raccoon to install incompatible app

Hi All,
I just attempted to install M&M clash of heroes and google play said it was incompatible with the MIX.
I found and used racoon:
http://www.onyxbits.de/raccoon
to download the APK from google play and successfully installed it.
So far it seems to play fine.
Note raccoon (sort of) acts like a virtual phone.
You log in using your google play credentials and you can access whatever you own.
For obvious reasons it's 100000x safer to get your apks from google rather than
some random pirate site. And no, you can't download any non-free apps that you
don't own.
I suspect many other apps will be flagged incompatible with the MIX.
While they might not work, at least you have the ability to try!
Thanks for this I couldn't download a few games, will give this a go 👍
