ROM is good! Thanks. Why is there no built-in superuser? And how to put such a way that shows the percentage of charging when charging? (at percent overlay)
Are you can to realize functions how in ElementalX: sweep2wake, optional logo2menu. And switch of display in double-tap of the screen lock.

Looks great for a first test release, just installed 20 minutes ago but so far i can say its the first 7.x rom for the m7 with working livedisplay. Just setting it up for daily usage atm and i´ll test everything in the next one or two days. A few things i noticed, fast charge is missing. The percentage for battery is a little bit to big.
There is a bug with the button light when you turn the screen off, if you turn the screen off while the bl is on it just goes off for half a second and then on again and never goes off. If you wait for the bl going off and then turn the screen off with Power Button the bl stays off, with every other method to turn the screen off the bl turns on and stays on forever.
I use the kernel with wake controls from you, dont know if this matters.
And as someone mentioned before this bootanimation and wallpaper isnt the nicest one, but i delete every bootanimation on every rom and change wallpaper so its gone
This rom has most modifications build in i´ve ever seen, if you would make showing the ram in recents screen i wouldnt need xposed for nougat anymore haha. Nice work so far.
Edit: After first time pluginto charger the bl turns off 10 seconds after screen is off, still looks a little bit weird but no big battery waste hehe.
Edit 2: Ambient Display doesnt work (wake screen for notifications)
Edit 3: After using the rom a few days with tesla7 wakecontrol kernel this bug with the button light (allways and forever on) happend twice again and i just could get it to turn of with restarting the device.

When i made a call, it said that International Roaming ?

Can I flash it on my Verizon?

Hello, the firmware is very good, no reboot, freezes and lags week polzovaniya.Est only one problem, per night and takes about 10% of the charge, everything is switched off except for the network (2g) and still ends when the charge starts to jump, for example, with 10% once up to 5% and then there is this vyklyuchaetsya.Yadro Kernel Tesla m7 wakecontrols 19.12.16, GAPS minimalnye.Sorry for English, enjoyed guglperevodchikom.

IR Sensor is working, i use anymote smart remote and then in the settings "Use alternative IR commands" but i had to use this setting allways even with stock rom.

I'm on this rom for 3 days and I can say it is most stable nougat rom for me and only nougat rom which doesn't have Wi-Fi disconnects. It is fast and smooth. I like it cuz it's based on aosp and not on cm like other roms and it's doesn't have that blue pixel accents. I also like night mode more than live display on cm roms. Only thing that bothers me is back and home keys light staying on after I press power button. Other than that this rom is perfect. Good job devs. Keep up with good work.

fastboot getvar all !!

This is a good ROM, why not start an official thread tathanhlam66 ?

in mine stuck in boot image..

I think there will never be an update for this Rom, not even with bugfixes. It is interessting to look into his folders on afh, made a lot of roms for m7 but nearly never an update for non of those roms. Which is really sad because his "test releases" are mostly better than most other Roms when there where already half a dozend updates for them haha. Just those few small bugs solved and a monthy security update and this rom would be one of the best.

[MOD] Ambient Display For Cataclysm Rom - August 7 beta

Hi, due to some of the demands on cataclysm thread I decided to create a thread for the ambient display mod for cataclysm.
For some of you the didn't know what this do is to enable the ambient display mod that is built in on lollipop(n6) but disabled on nexus 5.
Ambient display is the ability to wake up the screen via device pickup or a notification arrival although because of some limitations on hardware side it won't work properly via device pickup on our device but will work 100% percent on notification arrival.
Ok Enough with the chit chats.

That depends on the update. Some cataclysm "small" update zips may not overwrite this mod and some will. A "full" ROM zip will overwrite it.

Screen wakes itself
Hi, I've just tried the mod but I'm having a little trouble with it. I think it may be related to dt2w on Elemental X, although I am just guessing.
When you switch off the screen with the power button, ambient display wakes it again immediately showing the clock. This fades and then the clock comes back a second time. This then fades away but leaves the double tap active (I have a 15 min timout). It should be disabled as I switched off using the power button.
I would love to use this mod properly.

Ambient mod revert just reverts the changes made, so basically you're back to the ROM you had before you flashed the mod
Greetings,
I'd just like to let you know, if you didn't already, that the Jan 4 ambient display mod conflicts with some of the new cataclysm Jan 10 update features. For example, long-press flashlight, sweep to sleep, and quick toggles hide labels.
Thanks again for the awesome mod!
Yeah, waiting for the next update ?

Is anyone flashed successfully??? Please post screenshots..
Yay, I just got OTA notification as I woke up. The download size is 1,259.9MBs.
New features in attached photo:
I will post my experience as it's installed.
Just finished downloading the FTF through Flashtool/XperiFirm. Will flash in a moment and report back if noone else beats me to it (most likely someone will )
Ok, early feedback from the AU build
Fingerprint reader is lightning fast, most noticeable change on first boot - Just wow.
Whole phone seems considerably more fluid, a lot less lags and stutters - that said, my MM build was in a bit of a state and had become very slow!
Currently investigating the new stamina options:
"Battery time preferred" slows the whole phone to a crawl. It disables the "big" cores, disables a bunch of features, and reduces display brightness - not pleasant to use at all. A bit TOO heavy handed in my opinion. nb. It seems you need to reboot after changing FROM this mode to reactivate the big cores??
"balanced" mode does introduce a lot of micro stutter throughout the UI, less noticable if you disable animations from the developer menu, but I still wouldn't recommend using this option all the time.
Performance preferred" option seems a good compromise. The battery life estimate jumped up by about 25% compared with disabled, and is barely noticable in general use - I may leave this enabled 24/7 if all is well.
New options in the camera include timer and also the object tracking on Superior Auto, ported from the Xperia X series - a welcome surprise.
Nougat's new notification mechanism is a good improvement, I like that change a lot. There are more interactive options in the notifications themselves, and they can be long pressed to expose further options still, such as removing a notification from lock screen, setting them to "icon only" and other such things.
I'm still not delighted by the heat this thing puts out, on my phone previously on MM I've seen battery temp in the very high 40's when browsing over 4g, and even 52c once playing Pokemon GO.......this is borderline dangerous quite frankly! A geekbench run on Nougat saw me into mid 40s, so looks like no improvement there.
Please anyone do a video review (i wonder if you can still do a screen video) < one example
multi windows i guess replacing miniapps,
i wonder if they remove call recorder (voice machine)
and benchmark test! strees\heat
it will be the last version (if we lucky maybe 7.1)
Awesome!!! No idea when Bulgaria gets it but I am already hyped.
Hi,
replied inline to answer some of your questions - I can't do a proper "review" now as I am at work!
Superrman said:
Please anyone do a video review (i wonder if you can still do a screen video) < one example Yes, screen recording is still there, as is screenshot
multi windows i guess replacing miniapps, Multiscreen is alive and well - a bit pointless on our tiny screen mind you. Strangely, small apps is a selectable option in the task switcher screen. It opens a new menu screen which list the small apps. I little clunky, but maintains small apps for those who use them I guess.
i wonder if they remove call recorder (voice machine) - Sorry, not sure what you mean here. I don't recall having any stock call recorder? I use a third party solution and that seems to work ok.
and benchmark test! strees\heat No notable change in my initial fiddling. I expect it may be possible to tune the heat/performance with the new stamina options if you so wish. I'm currently testing the "performance preferred" option of stamina mode, and that doesn't seem to do much (anything?) in terms of CPU throttling. The GPU frequency readout seems broken in floating monitors (nougat issue?) so can't tell what its doing there till tool is updated
it will be the last version (if we lucky maybe 7.1)

Is there much difference between the NOBA and AU releases? I like the idea of no NFC icon which is part of NOBA, wondered if there is anything else I should consider?
Can anyone with the Z5C Nougat post some screens with the new notification bar and Recent apps view (I wonder if the "clear all" button is still there), possibly multitasking in action too? Thanks!
There's now a video at top of the update screen showing new features https://youtu.be/OiZqtQ7HBlc
The download speed I'm getting at the moment, it might take few days to download
Is there a way to get the OTA to download on mobile data? As soon as I turn off Wi-Fi, download is paused. I think it will be faster over LTE data.

Not sure multitask is working on our device (I didn't find anything in settings)
Quick thoughts after an hour or so of usage. It feels more smooth. The notifications are nice. The battery seems ok so far, need to use it for a few days i guess.
Split Screen is working fine for me and I havent actually noticed any lag while no battery care functions turned on.
Clear all button is there right up at the top.
Double tap switches between the last two apps quickly.
My Ringtone and Media Volume is stuffed. Can anyone else check that on their device? The volume is loud for a millisecond and then it dies right down to a painfully low level.

Pixel Android O Beta released!

Anyone trying it?
Beta 1 also known as DP2.
https://www.google.com/android/beta
Taking the plunge right now. I'll report later.
anyone else try it yet? I am assuming it is daily driver ready like N beta was
I am also waiting to see what people are reporting, hoping it's stable. Since I am on a custom rom it's a bit of a pain to load, don't see factory images yet.
I was thinking about trying this Android O beta out. I have a Verizon Pixel running stock (the bootloader is unlocked though). Should I have any issues?
Also, I know if I opt out of the beta, I'll lose all user data but will I lose user data when opting in and upgrading the Android O?

Unlocked bootloader is not a problem, in fact its better to have the option if anything goes wrong.
If you switch to official O when it's out no wipe required. Only if you want to go back to N.
I too am waiting for reports before i put it on my daily. i will be throwing it onto my nexus 6p tonight thought to try it out. if i dont see any bugs that are too bad... i may throw it on the pixel
Really eager to hear about battery life impact here if anyone can provide feedback.
Can anyone give some basic info about stability? I'd love to jump on with my Daily Driver, just if it isn't ready for it, I'll wait. Thanks in advance!
took forever to install(half hourish).900 mb
everything works so far without a wipe coming from the latest verizon 7.1.2 build.
confirmed tested on my part
camera
android wear connects
fingerprint unlock(seems faster)
foxfi usb tether fosho
overall seems buttery and the pulldown menu is surely nicer with being able to hit settings button without a reach is really nice. i couldnt get picture in picture to go but i didnt dive into the menus too far yet. so far so good. i think it's safe.
Factory images and OTAs for ODP2.

It's a nice beta so far. One thing noticed is double tap to check turn on the black screen but tapping the screen or notification icons won't do nothing and theme option won't switch to Pixel theme, even selecting it. Notification dots is a very good implementation for handling notification in a easily way. Ending my words, another great thing is that now night light have a intensity slider.
Any one has magisk or any root method working on this
Tried to update from latest Android N, didn't boot up, got a data corrupted message during install...
Can I now flash the Android O Factory Image without -w to get it running?
and most people in that tweeter feed can't get it to go either. every time i longpress home it launches assistant. and the setting to allow pip for youtube chrome and google play services are on by default.

They stay on for a very very short amount of time after you press one. Maybe like 1 second. I wish there was a way to delay them shutting off by a couple more seconds.
That's easy guys: just install an ancient app from Playstore (used it on my THL T100s back in 2013 already on Android 4.2 but it's still working):
Keyboard Backlight Controller by DeskAngel. Very light, under 1 mb. Needs root (of course). There is only one disadvantage I can find, every time you reboot your phone you need disable and re-enable the upper 2 [V] in the app to make it work. That's all. Good luck. As long as your screen is on, your buttons will be illuminated!

The sourcecode of the app I listed is open (open source). So it shouldn't be too hard for a dev to create something for our beloved devices.
Besides, it works on a wide range of phones, so could be a hit in the Pay Store
Wait until more custom kernels released for this device...
I'm on OP3T using dorimanx kernel and have this option..

This works pretty well. I wish there was a timer, like 5-10 seconds to keep the lights on. This is good for now though. There are a ton of apps for Galaxy devices for this purpose but not much otherwise

ROM & Kernel customization options wishlist

Post up your wish-list of custom options for custom ROM's (non OP) and Kernels and I'll add them to the OP.
This is for options that you aren't finding in any ROM, or at least not in your favorite ROM.
Feel free to mention your current ROM if you like but this thread is NOT about which ROM is the best or your favorite.
Please don't turn it into that. :good:
I'll try to bold new suggestions every day or so till the thread gets tired.
*Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing (ie: NotifyClean)
*Bring "only show running apps" option back to Slim Recents.
*Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption.
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.
*Fix the earphone bug.
*Fully working OOS camera
*Now Playing features from Pixel 2 XL detect song from lockscreen via ambient
*Option to remove USB Debugging notification is missing on some newer ROM's.
*Ring on charge complete
*Vibration - Would like to have option for more than 100% vibration.
- Clearly mentioned in OP if rom supports encryption/decryption. That is not always the case and people ask many times in the same thread.
- Long press back to kill foreground app.
Fully working OOS camera times 100. Literally the only thing stopping me from switching from OOS betas. I'm aware of the Google Camera functionality and also about all its problems.
Ability to filter out specific notifications from appearing. For example, my wife and I 'share' an Amazon Prime Photos account. I don't want a 'Successfully uploaded photos from your 3rd device' notification every time she uploads something. But I don't want to mute notifications for the whole app (or sometimes even notification group) as I may not get the 'upload progress' notifications' anymore. The Xposed module Notify Clean was perfect pre-Nougat and AutoNotification works alright post-Nougat, but it would be nice if this was baked into the ROM.

Just FYI, this is already available in every custom ROM I've tried so far.
You just have to enable the navigation bar options and then go into the button editor. I set up all my ROM's with this. And set the home button to open camera on long press.

OMG, if NotifyClean ever gets updated for Oreo I will go back to using Xposed again.
I really miss that app and some of the others by that dev. :good:
Hello there,
First off, the only couple things that stopping me to move from stock to a custom rom is the OOS camera (as mentioned above) and mostly the earphone bug. The mic on the phone and the earphones seems to be activated during a call and it gets pretty annoying to hear an amplified background of your environment and the person's on the other end, seems like most custom roms have this problem.
I've also long wanted to see ''ring on charge complete'' on the OP5T.
Thank you for asking.
Sorry i know this feature is hard to make but Now Playing features from Pixel 2 XL detect song from lockscreen

I think this might be an option using Light Flow?
If you really want it then it might be worth looking into.
It does custom ringtones for certain actions.
And they can be backed up for ROM re-flashes as long as the ringtone is stored in the usual spot /system/media/sounds/etc.

To clarify my personal request here:
*Day/Night - Provide option to switch between two different Substratum themes at toggle of a button.

A few ROM's provide built in day/night theme options.
But they don't theme apps like phone or calculator or anything else.
They only theme the settings and drop-down and a couple other things.
I want a nice non-tasker hack.
And would be willing to donate for it
