Likely going to order. Should I go with BH or Amazon? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I'm probably going to order the unlocked v20 this weekend and was wondering which would be better to order from.
BH charges no sales tax or shipping and they have an open box for $100 cheaper.
Amazon same price but must pay sales tax.
Plus BH has free charger, headphones and tablet too.
Is BH easy to deal with if I have to return this like something was broke on it or is Amazon better?

BH is great: can't go wrong with either.

I think I would go with Amazon, they have a more liberal return system if you have an issue. In other words you'll get an immediate refund once a tracking number is created when you send it back. Just opt for Amazon itself and not a third party Amazon seller if you can.

I think you're right. So B&H is a bit more tough on return policy? Like if it was damaged in shipping I would assume amazon easier to deal with.

Either is fine - its splitting hairs I think.
BTW, did you look at the Pixel XL? Why the V20? I'm thinking I shouldve went with the Pixel...The V20 is a good unit, I'm just not 100% happy with it and I'm out of the buyer's remorse window timeframe to trade it out.
I'm coming from a Note 7.

If you're going with the Pixel IMO go for the S7 edge.
Now if the 128 GB pixel XL was $710 I would say jump on it because latest android and AMOLED screen. However with no removable storage or always on display I wouldn't pay 869 for it when a year from now you will be bored with it.

Nah man, I have the V20...and I dont really use price as a factor, since I do the installment plan thing. All the top tier phones are 800-ish. Think of it this way - It's something you'll be using EVERY DAY, many times per day...so I don't really use price as a factor in making the choice - I just want to be happy with whatever I get it.

Pixel is a great phone it's not bad. It works great for the features it has like software screen and camera, and has IP54 at least, but for that kind of cash it doesn't have enough features. For cheaper you can get the S7 edge and wait for 7.0 to launch.
I think the V20 is a good large screen phone to last until next Sept or Aug for the Note 8. Rumor has it the headphone jack will be missing from the S8 Edge and SD card possibly which is DUMB and would really do damage to Samsung if they take the SD card away. If they did that people would just go to Pixel instead of giving Samsung a second change since there wouldn't be much of a difference then.

It appears I'll save 66 bucks if I buy from B & H.
What is Amazon's return, exchange policy for Christmas season on phones?

I think BH might be the better one to order from. According to Amazon you only have 10 days to return a defective device for a replacement an no more refunds for phones. That's really rotten.
http://tech.firstpost.com/news-anal...meras-camera-lenses-and-furniture-316521.html

Yeah BH return policy for purchases is February 1 for purchases made during holiday season: long enough to make a decision on whether the phone is for you!

That policy is not in effect in US. I have returned a few electronics in the past few months as recently as last week. It was a chrome book. Full refund.

You're right after I looked at it more. Either way I'd get my money back but with Amazon you get it back faster and probably less bs.

I've made returns to BH with no bs and refunds only took about 2 days more. But do what is comfortable: I get the best of both worlds with Amazon and BH since I live in CT with free next day delivery with BH.

That's not correct, perhaps with phones but I can tell you I ordered an Asus 7 inch tablet on Amazon and wasn't thrilled with picture quality. On exactly the 29th day I submitted it for return online, printed the label and walked it down to an official UPS store. they scanned the label and I immediately received a refund alert on the app. No questions asked. This was less than a month ago.

I would never hold off on a purchase or make a "in the meantime" purchase in expectation of a new Samsung offering. They got rid of removable battery and SD card with almost no one expecting it until launch day. And after the Note 7 disaster I will never make a phone with a non-removable battery a first choice. I depend on my phone for work and have very important family business that need to be handled on the phone. I travel several times a month on average and the idea that I would not be allowed to board a plane with my specific model of phone or that I had to go through the hassle of reinstalling all of my software, some of which would be a royalllllll painnnnn in some cases where I must use Ethernet authentication and the equipment is out of state....well no more Samsung/fixed battery phone for me.

I agree. This Note fiasco wouldn't have happened if there was removable battery. They could have simply made a slightly smaller battery and sent them to stores or ship them to us since it's said the compartment for the battery was a bit small.
Would be funny if the iPhone 7 had a massive battery problem and they had to recall them all and it got to the point the device would be killed this year. Apple would have no device to fall back on like Samsung did.

I made this very point when discussing Apple stock. Apple share price relies 50% on a single model of one product. No other company with a valuation that high, as far as I know, is carrying that much risk should that one product have a massive recall. However, in Samsung's case it seems that Samsung decided to do all its quality control in-house for the first time to cut costs. If An outside testing agency had caught this exploding battery in time it would have paid for itself 10xs over. I guess when Apple mark up their phones so high above the actual cost to build they have plenty of our money to spend on their quality control.

Return it and get another one. Or, if they have good service, they'll refund you the $150.
Sweet deal.
Does the 14 day return policy go into effect when you receive the phone or when you order/they ship the phone? I wonder if a lot of the 11/11 orders might be able to squeak in a return/price match if the former.
I'm hoping that will happen for me. I talked to them and they say there are going to get back to me. I also sent them an email.
Oh man. I am in on this.
Now I just need to decide which one to get.
Currently using 8.9 GB on my HTC One and the 16 GB Moto X only comes with 11.9 free, so that would leave me with 3 GB Free. Hmm. Probably need to get the 32 GB. Damn.
Then it's Dev Edition vs custom T-Mo. I like the black front because it blends with the screen. Not so sure about the woven white back of the Dev Edition though. It's one of the more slippery backs if I recall. The woven black feels nicer in hand I would guess since it's softer.

I called they wouldn't refund the $150 but offered me $50 in accessories which I don't need so they gave me a $50 Visa gift card instead. Best I could do without having to go through the hassle of returning the phone and ordering another one and waiting a week or two for it to be delivered.

Yep that's the reason I was given for not refunded my money. I ordered a week ago and just got it Monday. I got 18 months same as cash financing through Motorola so not too disappointed as I kind of expected it.
Well, unnecessary hassle for me. Looks like my current one will be going back one I get a replacement that I buy on Monday...

Wow. I ordered on the 8th and it was delayed and shipped on the 12th. I can't believe that the delay may end up saving me $150 (grand total of $250). On the phone with a CSR right now and hoping for the best.

If you buy another phone on Monday and return the old one for a refund its a 4-6 week wait for a refund. Also from experience you have to have ALL the packaging the old one came in. I keep everything in the box, plastic bags, rubber bands, etc., just in case of getting hassled on this.

My return for refund has been processed. They are sending me a return label via email and I'll ship it out tomorrow. Luckily, I kept all the packaging, plastic, charger etc in the office so it's just a matter of factory resetting and sending it back.
So I have been dead set on getting this phone to replace my aging HTC Rezound even though its running KitKat pretty damn well. I have been holding out for the wood backs but they seem to be no where in sight and this is too good of a discount to pass on especially when its priced the same as the N5. So my question is should I get a Verizon MotoMaker 32GB version of the Developer Edition (just in case the dev community picks up)?

I wanted to return it out of principle but then the hassle of waiting up to another 2 weeks for a phone doesn't sit well with me. After having to pay to ship it back and they then deduct the original shipping charges out of the refund I'd only save about $130 so with the $50 gift card I'm only out $80.

On one hand, the phone is really amazing stock. You would lose the features that make the Moto X so good by flashing custom roms. On the other hand, there isn't much development on the Moto X and root for future builds/releases may not come. With the Dev edition you'll never have to worry about root (recoveries may be another story).
I'll, most likely, get another Dev edition.

I would go with the dev edition, which I have, just because it comes with an unlockable boot loader out of the box. It's pretty much the closest thing to a Nexus you'll get without buying one and for $400 its a steal. I love this phone too, a lot more than my Nexus 4 but the battery life is about the same. Its a little slippery though as the white back on the dev edition isn't rubberized.

Yea I've never been a huge fan of white phones as I feel they'll start showing their dirtyness after being heavily used for an extended period. Also I heard those woven backs are slippery. I could get a super thin case and see if that helps at all. Right now I only see the need too root to get free tethering, ad-free apps and PIE controls via xposed
Decisions, decisions. I ordered on the 18th and received it on the 21st. I wonder if I should return and get another on Monday. Questions will I be able to get another at $350, says supplies are limited.
I got the Navy with Black front and silver accents, I wish the blue was a little lighter so if I reordered I could maybe go with the Royal Blue. I really like the yellow back, but worry about it staining in my pocket (i,e. wearing blue jeans).

I bought one there a few days ago and had BB adjust the price today.
This tablet is a sleeper currently. Folks seem to just pass by anything that isn't a Nexus, Samsung, or Ipad. I bet the price will soon hit what the new Nexus 7 is going for, I will keep my eyes peeled and get a further adjustment if that happens. Lots of price wars happening with Microsoft and android tablets lately.
Good thought on watching the price and having them adjust for any drop. I grabbed two, one white from my local Best Buy and one black from one across town. I'd been thinking I wanted black since my current/previous tablets have been black (or dark gray in a few cases), but the white one does look pretty slick, so I might try that for once. I'll obviously cancel/return the one I don't keep.

I'm liking it so far. No hot buttons currently and I think it is a sleeper currently for price and quality right now. The Nexus 7 is very good, I have one but 16:10 aspect ratio on a 7 inch is tough for me to tell the truth.
No lag with games, videos don't buffer, web browsing is fine, reading on it is very good. SOLD!!!
Just sold an iPhone 5 I had for $220 so Im waiting for any Christmas sales. Will have about $330 by Christmas so Im just watching:laugh: out for any good deals.
I bought one at BB today myself... Having some drinks waiting on the first 100% Charge.... Returned my Nexus 7 2013 for this puppy.. I think this is the *Perfect* size for a Tablet.

Yeah, I think I'm inclined to agree after playing with it for a few hours. This is a really great device! I rooted it and restored apps and data from my Nook HD+ using TiBu. Very responsive in everything I've thrown at it so far. Great deal at $280 (wish I'd gotten the NewEgg deal earlier this week though!).

LOL I thought I was reading my own post since I too rooted & restored from an HD+ today. Got the Newegg deal BTW.
I just picked one up at the local Best Buy, they do not have any on display. I purchased online for in store pick-up. My wife and I both have LG phones and love them. I'm not done setting the G pad up yet, but loving it so far.

I seen that deal also Wells.. but I rather buy at a Brick & Mortar.. I had a situation where a Asus HD 7 freaked out and looped doing an update to the latest firmware 5 minutes out of the box.. the turn around for refund or replacement would have been over a week if I purchased it through Newegg.. As it was, I just walked it into Walmart and got my Cash back.. So, I for one don't mind at all paying the $30.00 difference to avoid the headache of returning an item such as this should I have an issue.. My unit has fully charged while typing this and I've just powered it up for the 1st time.. and it's FABULOUS..
Thanks for this post! Mine is slated to arrive Tuesday from Best Buy Online. I will contact them today to see if I can get a $20 credit since I paid 299. I posted this in the accessories page ...

you guys might appreciate it as well. So that you don't waste as much time as I have researching official accessories as seen in the hands-on reviews from certain websites, I can assure you that the official accessories like the dock and the quick cover are not yet available in the US even though they appear on the LG US website. I just spent a hell of a lot of time on the phone with LG trying to show them that their own website lists the items complete with full instructions on how to use them. I finally got someone to admit that the products are not available in the United States at this time. I picked up an Asus cover on Amazon that will work with the LG.

Which Asus cover works with the G Pad?
I too ordered one. I missed the Newegg one thought I would just wait one more day lol, one day to late. The taxes from Bestbuy gets it up to $300. Still good price. Going to test it against the HP Slate8 pro. At 1st I really liked the HP (Tegra 4) yet the speakers at the bottom portrait mode I cant tell ever if its stereo. Then way to many times it gets sluggish. The only thing I can relate to this is on my PC many years ago when running to many apps it would be swapping memory you get that lag.
I did try the EVGA note. Was nice yet the battery life is very short. Then on the HP running things wow the higher rez really made some apps and games look so much better. Battery life on the HP is really good. I really loved the Kendal HDX speakers. So all I need is a tab with kendal speakers, a stylus, 32gb + 2ram and I will be happy.

unfortunately, none of them. It's the Asus 8 inch Note tablet cover that is being listed as completely compatible with the LG Gpad 8.3. However, I ordered a white one twice now from two different companies on Amazon and both times my order was cancelled because they are out of stock. You can probably get it in a different color or maybe black, but I'm holding out for white. Just a search on Amazon and it will come right up.
"VSTN LG G Pad 8.3 Multi-Stand PU Leather Cover Case with Hand Strap&Card Holder (For LG G Pad 8.3, White)"
I picked one up on on the 7th after missing out on the newegg $249 deal. I also used my amex $25 off $250 so that helped cover the tax. If it drops in price before the extended holiday return period (almost a certainty) I'll get that as well. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to return the N7 32G I picked up last week for $209. The overall dimensions for the 2 are pretty close but the screen size is the reason I got the G Pad.

Well some of us jumped on the G Pad but to tell the truth there is just no visibility with this device. All BB stores in my area don't have one on display and unless one is savvy, you wouldn't even know they carried it.
And I'm unsure what other big box retailers carry it either where you can just walk in and buy it. This may or may not hurt with a price drop in the near future. If the manufacturer monitors sales, I don't no how they can expect much more without the product being more visible to the public. A shame really cause it blows away much of what is out there currently available!

I wouldn't have bought one with being able to try it out beforehand. The closest BB didn't carry it but one not too far away supposedly had them in inventory. When I went I naturally went to where the tablets were and it was nowhere to be found. I asked a sales associate and they said they don't carry it I mentioned that BB online shows they have them so he dug a bit deeper and found out they have them over in the mobile department. It makes no sense to me since it's currently WiFi only but there it was with the LG phones.

Nexus 6 resale value

I have had a lot of cellphone over the years including all the nexus's but this one is the hardest I've ever tried to sell.when I can't even get $300 for a phone that is just getting ready to turning one.:crying:
I'm trying to sell mine too

The resale value of the Nexus 6 virtually plummited overnight. All of us Nexus 6 owners can thank Amazon for that one... lol.
I bought a brand new N6 for $280 off ebay a month ago with warranty till july 2016. Why you are expecting to sell yours for more than $300 used?

They're offloading inventory for <$300 and the devices are brand new. It's great that you want $300 for it, but that's not what you'll get. Why would anyone buy a used phone that costs more than a new one?
convenience.. Can't get the white one locally.

Lmaooo this is the reason I'll never buy a phone when it first comes out. As long as my current phone is ticking, I'll wait for the "buy every new thing" crowd to have their fun, gives me time to see reviews and reliability of the phone. Came from a galaxy note 3 and only upgraded because amazon decided to chop prices. I probably won't upgrade again till 2017 unless next year looks really good
You can see the market prices for unlocked Nexus 6 phones at swappa.com. Scroll down and look at the closing prices of sold phones. There also is a depreciation curve of prices over time.

This, I'll never understand.
It was all just an illusion
blame competition. if you want resale value, stick with an OS that has only one mfg (aka Apple). There are too many alternatives for someone to want to pay $300 for a one year old used phone with scratches.

Why would someone spend $300 for a used phone when they can get it new for hardly any extra and is unlocked and off contract?
The 6" screen also makes the userbase a lot smaller, not everyone wants a big screen like this.
I feel the pain. I didn't take it as hard, but I did lose a bunch of value. I paid $495 for my brand new 64 GB in June. So my loss was limited to about $200.
I definitely won't be eating that loss just to upgrade to a 6P(although it looks awesome). I'll wear this device out like I do my others and then turn it into a tinkering device.
Bought one for 380€.
Thank to a german handler. Its also new.
Even when I get a new phone, I am pretty sure I will not sell my N6. It may get demoted to "backup device", but not sold. It was a perfectly flawless device (hardware wise) from the start and it has been incredibly reliable for the last year.....not to mention it's just too much fun to play around with.
Still trying to figure out whether I want to get an N6p, MotoX Style/Pure, or an LG V10.
I have only had my Nexus 6 for about 3 weeks so I dodged the massive depreciation. (I paid $350 on Amazon) I almost pre-ordered a 6P but in the end I decided against it. One I didn't want to wait, two I prefer Motorola to Huawei, three all of the SD 810 propaganda, and four because the Nexus 6 / SD 805 is tried and true. I seriously have no regrets or buyers remorse at all, which is rare for me. lol. This is by far my favorite phone and I can not believe what I got for $350! I doubt I will ever sell my Nexus 6. I will use it for a year minimum, probably two. I guess it will depend on what Google has on offer next year. (I am a Nexus lifer) I can't imagine how cheap the Nexus 6 will be this time next year, so I doubt I would ever sell it. It is a beast phone and would make for an excellent backup device or a dedicated chrome cast device.
I do feel for anyone currently trying to sell a Nexus 6 though. It would suck to pay $650 for a phone then not even a year later only be able to sell it for $200-$250. That is one thing Apple definitely has over Android. iPhones tend to have excellent resale value.
If the n6 is worth what is can you image what the n6p will be worth this time next year?

Sprint pre-order discussion

I figured I would start a thread where we can discuss our pre-orders and let everyone else know when we start receiving shipping notifications.
I pre-ordered the black onyx on the 3rd online. Just hoping I might get it a few days earlier than release.

Also ordered mine on 8/3, through Sprint's website / My Account.

(Requires your order number.)

Your order for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been received. Pre-orders will ship by 8/17. You may track the progress of your order at www.sprint.com/myorder. Additionally, keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience.
When I tried using the link below for the Samsung promo (256GB micro sd card or Gear Fit2) , I was prompted for the IMEI number (and another number I don't recall off-hand), i.e. phone is needed in hand before promo can be processed.

I ordered mine today in Coral blue. Cant wait. So Lenny what you getting, the Card or gear fit?
Preordered through samsclub. Black for me can pickup 7 am on 8/16 $200 sams giftcard plus 256 card or gear fit

I pre-ordered mine on the 7th through sprint's website. I got the black version and I'm planning on getting the smart watch. If the Micro SD card offered anything significantly different I would have done that (as it is valued more) but its only slightly faster and I don't need that much storage. Already been looking at accessories like chargers and cases! Getting excited! Its a big move from my Note 2

Thanks for asking... I've decided on the Fit2. Had an early Gear watch, but didn't think much of it, so I ended up giving it to one of my nephews. Hopefully the newer wearables have more functionality (specifically for golf, like a Garmin). Way I see it, the sd cards are fairly common, and I have a 128GB card with room to spare still. And I went with the Silver Titanium... kind of a timeless look IMHO. Although the blue and black both looked pretty nice. Especially the blue, which is a nice sharp look for it. And the black is another classic look which never gets old.
Have you decided on which freebie you want yet?

Same here, coming from the Note 2. Absolutely LOVE that device. Had a chance to try out a Note 4 a couple of years ago when I thought my Note 2 went bad (actually had a battery issue) and wasn't very impressed. This is the one major downside I see for the Note 7 - embedded battery (knock on wood).
Either way, I am totally stoked for this device and can NOT wait for it to arrive... (and the subsequent dev for it too).

Hopefully the bootloader isn't locked, but it sounds like it probably is. I'm sure we will get root, the only question is when.
Cheap case/screen protector along with SD card I ordered are arriving today, so I'm all set. I'll get a good case and hopefully a tempered glass protector once the device has been out a while and we know what's good.
I'm going with the Fit 2 for the freebie, wife wants it. SD cards are getting cheaper by the day, so I just buy them.
Anyone know if choosing standard shipping instead of express will make a difference for pre-orders? I didn't see that express was free so I picked standard. My order page says pre-orders will ship by the 17th so I'm not sure

My pre orders with sprint have always been the same. They ship it 2 days before the release date if they have full stock. Nobody is getting it from sprint.com before the 19th. They even put on the label to deliver on the 19th hence this is why they ship 2 day mail.
Sprint has always been the same with these having at your door but the day of release not a day before no matter when you ordered.
I got a cheap case as well should do the trick and will get the 256G card
Hoping it comes early my birthday is Friday and that would make a great bday gift. I'm probably going with the card, because I'm waiting for the gear s3 announcement. Maybe sprint will offer this one on the lease plan. Already have the supcase unicorn beetle pro and spigen neo hybrid crystal sitting in my drawer. I'll get the defender once it comes out, hopefully soon.
Signed up for AMZ review trader and have an iq shield tpu screen cover coming for free. Signed up for a few other cases too, just waiting to get approved.

I never rooted my note 5 (first Android phone I never rooted) I was really hoping samsung pay would support my bank and still nothing. I just didn't want to lose that feature if and when I was able to actually use it. I'll probably never root my n7 unless I keep it for more than a year and my bank still isn't supported.

Ordered mine on the 3rd through Sprint customer service. Got free shipping and no activation fee being I've been with them for 12+ years. I have a Huawei watch but think I am still going to get the Gear 2. Also picking up a Ringke Slim case. It protects all the edges but feels like the phone doesn't have a case. Pumped too as I have had every Note since the Note 2. Note 4 probably is my favorite so far.

I ordered mine on 8/5 from www.bestbuy.com......didn't have to pay a fee for the mail-in rebate.......will receive it on 8/19. Also ordered my Spigen Neo-Hybrid case from Amazon and it shipped today. Excited to get my NEW NOTE 7......
I know it can take take up to 3 months, but when I got my note 5 I got the wireless charger promo and it didn't take that long. Hopefully it will be the same, because I also received 2 wireless chargers. I wouldn't mind getting a bonus 256gig card to sell and keep one for myself. Or sell both and buy a gear s3.

I ordred my on 8/3 in the Sprint store. I think I am opting for the SD card because I have a gear s2 now and it works great..
Once we know what's good
What are the odds that two note 3's would die, in a month from one another? I really liked that phone, and after losing my Note2 in a rogue wave, I got a pair of Note 3's off ebay, in Mint cond. I didn't wanna buy used again, so I got a Note 7 on the payment plan... I too bought a cheap all in one case (360 degree protection, for under $9?)... then I won't feel so bad, when I get the phone, and I'm disappointed when this (almost $1,000 device, after sales tax!) doesn't multi task (IE: won't surf, while on a call, like Spark, and successor to Spark... "enhanced LTE" It's not in my area, when last I checked, so I'll be looking to buy a new, in the box Note 3; the most advance non-Spark device.

Otterbox defender has been out for about 7+ days now...

Verizon just told me to keep my note 7

He said they just got more info from Samsung again saying the recall is just voluntary. He said Samsung is investigating whether or not those were new or old devices that caught fire and after their investigation is complete they could say all the new note 7s are fine... He said my upgrade isn't going anywhere and I should hold onto it and wait for it to be complete. What do you think?
I think regardless at this point with my wife and I both having notes in our home it's not worth it to keep them. Coming from a rooted Note 3 on Sprint I am not impressed with this $800 purchase in the slightest and these issues are not helping their cause. At this point I'm just ready to give it back put it behind us and wait till the next greatest thing. My Note 3 still runs great and I really miss my root options.

I think they are just trained to say that. Samsung has to cover their asses IN CASE the new ones really do have a widespread issue.

Just received this from Verizon a few minutes ago.
I love how they conveniently leave out the $20 upgrade fee still being charged online, having to pay the taxes on the replacement up front even though we've already paid that or more for the Note 7 (which will EVENTUALLY be refunded to the account, maybe), and then being locked into another 2 year upgrade cycle even though it's more than possible that the Note 7's replacement will come out in the next 8 months and we'll then be stuck with whatever replacement we choose to get now, as a kneejerk reaction to not being able to keep the phone we (well, I, at least) absolutely love more than any smartphone I've owned since the DroidX. I'll have to buy another case for the new phone, and yet ANOTHER screen protector (5th one now since I went through 2 ****ty glass ones on the first Note before settling on a film one and then having to get another one for the replacement Note).
**** this whole situation. I love the Note 7 and hate that I'm going to end up settling on the S7E (To keep in the Samsung family for my GearVR and Fit2) and being stuck with it till well after the Note7's replacement hits the market. If the Pixel XL had removable storage I'd just jump over to that, get a refund on the GearVR, sell the Fit2 and just stew in it for the next 2 years. 32gb without removable storage, on a "flagship" with VR support? Has Google never seen the file sizes of high res 3D Movies and VR porn? Daydream is gonna flop if Pixel is its driving force in the market.
This. ****. Sucks.

Read what you want and skip over that everything for the Note 7 is halted and they're looking for alternative solution, meaning something other than note 7. It's dead, get over it.

Samsung still can't reproduce the problem. They lost in the court of public opinion which matters more. No way are they going to stick me with an older s7 on a payment plan. They should offer an even better deal at least.
I no longer feel unsafe using the Note, could be incredibly dumb, but I'm not convinced by the new reports. Verizon sending me out of the store with this "dangerous" item and just cutting the cord was surreal too.
i just swapped my Note 7 for an iPhone Plus . I didn't go to a store, I called the 611 support line and ordered through a Verizon rep. They sent me the new iPhone, but didn't include anything pertaining to how I send the Note back. Are they reporting all swaps to Samsung so that Samsung will automatically send me a mailing box? I highly doubt it. So for now, I've activated the iPhone, and I'm still using the Note 7 as strictly a wifi device, so I can do everything with it other than take phone calls and send texts. I think I have the best of both worlds. BTW, the battery life on the iPhone is phenomenal, the first day when I was setting everything up, I got SOT of almost 8 hours. It's also very fast and smooth.
Welp as of Saturday at noon it will be illegal to take a note 7 on a plane. This might change some folks minds on keeping that "free" phone.
