Will US996 (unlocked) work in China? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I'm having the devil of a time determining if my phone will be accepted on either the China Unicom, or China Telecom networks. In terms of frequency compatibility, these links say yes: Link1 and Link2.
Does someone know if the phone will actually be accepted on one of these networks?

does anybody know whether this phone will work to it's full capabilities (3g/HSDPA) in Canada?
Thanks!
Not until HTC releases a North American version with US/Canada 3G bands.

[Q] how to use s5 in Korea and US?

help please! Does anyone know which version samsung s5 works in s. korea and in US? any provider is fine.. (verizon, att, tmobile)
I am not very familiar with bandwidth and cell receptions. any contribution will be appreciated:good::good:
I brought my S5 from Korea to the U.S. From what I remember of my research it all depends on the carriers you want to use here and in Korea. I have T-mobile in the states and used a 900L variant through LG U+ in Korea. The bands available in this phone allows me to get perfect LTE in Korea. However, since bringing it back in the states I only get partial coverage. I am only able to get 3G. It's not ideal in my situation, but I am not worried about it. I recommend trying to figure out the available variants in Korea and the US and see which bands overlap the most.

LTE Bands for OP5

Hi all,
I am considering buying an OP5 from Dubai, but I live in Europe (Switzerland).
Does anybody know if the specs vary around regions? Or is it safe to assume that 4G/4G+ will work (including band 20 etc.)?
Thanks

Please search. I'm sure you can easily find what your carriers Lte bands are and then research what's op5 bands are supported
I know what the bands for my carrier are and I can find the specs for OP5 on the Oneplus website. It appears that there are no differences in the hardware across regions but I wanted to confirm that. I know other brands (like Xiaomi) differentiate the hardware depending on the region where the phone is sold.
OP5 now supports 32 bands, all on same worldwide phone.

G93xx and other abbreviations

So when I'm searching for Roms/kernels and other stuff I see this all the time.
What does the x's mean in g93xx. Does that mean it supports all ? like g9350, g935f ,g9355 etc etc?
and there are other abbereviations like K/L/S.
What do all those mean?
These are gsm simcard phones with Samsung exynos processors.
These are found in South East Asia and Europe because GSM simcard are their standard.
The letter means the network or country the phone is for generally the exynos phones aren't carrier locked.
The xx just represents any letters that can fill in those 2 xxs like fd or s or k or l
935s means south korea telecom
935k and 935l are 2 other south Koreans telecom companies basically the same phone but the bootscreen is different and pre-built apps are exclusive to the carrier {country specific features, forced loud camera snap sounds, special Samsung music shop}
935f means unlocked multinational phone
935fd means unlocked multinational phone with dual sim
Canada's 935w8 is an exception it is still a gsm phone with an exynos processor.
All these phones can use custom roms but make sure you do not use a different phones bootloader or modem.
These are made with different countries in mind because of laws.
Snapdragon with CDMA no simcard networks they are heavily carrier locked. Europes standard is GSM also known as simcards but in america they use CDMA the network is locked into the phone its been the same since the 1980s.
They are horrible for roms basically.
935v means verizon
935p means sprint
9350 is the only unlocked Chinese cdma that can use custom rooms still limited tho

Which one of these are Exynos models? I'm looking for an Exynos model to buy.

Thanks a bunch! I just got a little bit smarter!

Are there more than one version of the OnePlus 8 Pro?

On GSM Arena they have an EU version and a NA version. Is that for the dual sim or do they sell different versions depending where you live?

They sell different versions depending on where you live depending on if you bought it directly from OnePlus themselves. The reason they do this is mainly different data bands for different countries/regions. Probably other things taken into account software wise to abide by certain countries laws as well. If you can't get the phone directly through OnePlus because of the whole out of stock nonsense then do your research and figure out which model number you need to find for your area.
