No Audio after Standby - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Greetings,
I have the T-Mobile V20 variant (H918). I have no Audio after "waking" the device from an extended time in "Sleep mode" (roughly 5-8 hours). All the other functions of the device is working properly. I discovered the problem when I heard no alarm audio when the timer reached zero (0). There was also no audio alarm when my alarm was set to go off, nor was there any ringer audio when the device was receiving a call. I have my device set for an audio response when I touched the screen (input). The audio functions work after restarting the device (timer, ringer, and input). My sound profile is set for sound, with the "Sound with vibration" switch enabled. I initially had my "smart settings" enabled to turn on WiFi when I left home, but have since turned that feature off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sound / Ring Tone Issue

Hope someone can help....
In Settings -> Sounds and Notifications, I have set the sound for Screen taps to loud and the volume of ringing tone is set to full and on....
After couple of hours, I lost any sound while tapping the screen and can't hear if some one rings me....
It happened yesterday, all worked when I rebooted the mobile.
Today it happened again, but when I rebooted the mobile, the sound came back and now after few hours it is same situation....
I even check the Setting -> Sounds and Notificatons -> Notifications -> Ring type -> Ring
Does anybody know why it is happening..
Ringer problem
I have the same problem too, when I set to ring and vibrate the ringer cuts off. I have now disabled the vibration function but the ringer volume still fluctuates between high and low, or even disappears completely. Any ideas? Apart from this (major) issue, I love the phone...
Just came abouit tis same issue. My ringer seems to fuctuate from low to high and high to low
I've had the complete loss of sound once, reboot helped.
i'm having the same issue!
after going in standby, the phone wakes up but does not ring or play sound anymore (even if you receive a call or a text message).
if you answer to a call, you cannot hear anything in the earpiece and also the microphone doesn't work.
if you soft or hard reset the device, it will work again at the beginning, but the issue will be back in a few minutes.
i verified that if you launch windows media player (or other app that plays audio) when the device has become "silent", will initially result in no sound, then - after few seconds - will make the phone restart (just the phone component, not the xperia) and the sound starts working again.
some times i got also a gwes error, which has made the xperia unresponsive to the touch screen.
btw, i'm very displeased since this device is brand new and was given me by the repair center to replace my xperia (I left it charging battery all night and on the morning was dead...)
I think I'll take it back to the repair center and ask for another replacement...
if you have ms voice command, that could be the cause of your ringer fluctuation.
I had these issues with cooked roms but not the official roms though. recommended using latest official roms with all junks removed.

[Q] Smart Sensor Settings

Hi all,
Quick question regarding the "Smart Sensor Settings". I like the "Smart Profile: Face Down" option that silences your ringtone when the phone is turned upside down, but it switches the ring from audible to vibrate. I almost never have my phone on audible, vibrate is my default setting. Is there any way to create profile that will switch the alert from vibrate to none?
I'd prefer freeware, but I'm not opposed to using something like Tasker if it can do that trick (ONLY during incoming calls).

[Q] XV6900: Turning bluetooth on or off changes sound profile-can I stop this?

I have a stock Verizon XV6900 running WinMobile 6.1. I have an issue with the sound profile changing almost every time I turn my bluetooth on or off.
The 6900 comes with only three sound profiles: on, vibrate, and off. I keep mine on vibrate. Whenever - again, _almost_ every time - I turn my bluetooth on or off, the sound profile will change from vibrate to either on or off. I've used different bluetooth devices - Jabra, Motorola, and Plantronics - and get the same results. I've spent time on the phone with Verizon "service techs" (both the non-help screen-readers and the ones who really knew something about the device), and they even forwarded me over the HTC technical support. Everyone has the same response: that's just a glitch in this device.
It's infuriating to miss calls because I took my bluetooth off and turned it off, and my phone went to sounds off! Is there a way to prevent this? Maybe a registry hack to keep the sound profile permanently set to either vibrate or on? Or maybe a script to poll the phone when the blurtooh connection changes? Something???
A drop-kick in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Alarm silent in mute mode

Hi,
I have a problem regarding my new S7 Edge (international version, newest update installed).
When I set my phone to "mute mode", it is supposed to mute everything but the alarm sound. When I go into my alarm settings, the sound is set to max. I am using the stock alarm app.
When my alarm starts, there is no sound unfortunately. While the alarm "rings", i need to volume up using the volume buttons in order to hear something. But of course, this is not what i want.
After i increased the volume while the alarm rang and set a new alarm, everything works fine. When i set my phone to "loud mode" and reset it to "mute mode", the problem starts all over again.
A solution is to turn on "no disturb mode", allow the alarm as an exception and leave the phone on "loud mode". But then, i can still hear system and button sounds. So this solution is not perfect for me.
On my old S6 Edge, this works perfectly so I don't understand why this is not working on the S7 Edge. I also used the app "sound profile", configured a profile with everything muted (excluding alarm volume, which was set to maximum) but the problem still exists.
I hope somebody can help me..
Best regards

sound profiles not really customizable

Hey guys,
is there no way to customize the sound profiles?
I can't let the phone just vibrate instead of muting it or turning sound on with any of the three profiles.
One profiles totally mutes the phone and doesn't allow to turn sounds on. The other two don't allow to mute the phone or set it on vibration.
One of the three profiles even only let's me toggle if the phone should vibrate for incoming calls. Nothing else!
