as i said above. what do i do with my kernel to make it permissive? i have it decompiled now.

Hey, sorry if this is a repost but I need help. I updated from omega rom v6 to V8.1 and now selinux is set back to enforcing, was permissive removed in this update as I need permissive to use my phone with my pioneer app radio

Permissive permissions are set by the kernel. So it sounds like your update reverted your kernel?
The easiest way to regain your permissive status would be to restore your previous kernel.

As the topic implies, what kernels are available for 5.1? AFAIK, Franco Kernel supports it. Are there any other kernels there?
bricked kernel...I havent tried it but Im having issues w/Franco and f2fs so ill give it a go tonite....

I flashed cm14.1 then my kernal was enforcing...try it !! To make urs enforcing
I think its not on which ROM u use but what kernal you use ...but I am not sure
Is it possible to install a kernel module into the stock kernel on this device using insmod /sdcard/xxxx.xx or is the kernel built using EFI_SECURE_BOOT_SIG_ENFORCE=y
