I've uninstalled SystemUI.apk on Samsung Galaxy J7 Chinese - Help Me Please! - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

I rooted my phone to uninstall some bloatwares, but i accidentally uninstalled the SystemUI.apk. My phone is now totally black with a popup saying:
"Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped"
Ps.: USB Debugging is off
OEM Switch is off
Bootloader is blocked
Help me please! I dont have warranty on this phone.

What is your phone model number (can be found on the sticker behind the battery or the original box that came with the phone)? I can get you the original system files to flash over with no data loss.

Boot loader being locked means that custom images will be blocked and thus cannot be flashed. Original images, such as those from Samsung, will be flash able. No ADB connection would be required in the restoring process as we will be using the Download Mode function on your device.
I was just downloading the system image for your phone model and found that the region CHM (China) has only Android 5.1.1 while the region TGY (Hong Kong) has Android 6.0.1 already. In addition, the China firmware has got tons of chinese applications while the Hong Kong firmware does not (only has Samsung stock applications). Do you remember what firmware your phone had? I can then download the appropriate image and/or help you to upgrade (data might be lost).

Really i don't remember... But it came with a bunch of programs installed on the firmware and others that were trying to install themselves, such as AliExpress or RAM Cleaner. It was probably the Chinese firmware by the amount of advertising and bloatwares present. I had no apps from any phone carrier in my country, just bloatwares and lots of advertisement. That's why I cleaned up the applications and ended up deleting SystemUI.apk, thinking it was some kind of bloatware. You can send me the link of the chinese firmware and the HK too?
And... Could you search for me how to make my mobile phone model go into download mode? I searched around a lot, but found no way. All of them were for the normal Galaxy J7 and opened a blue screen with an exclamation, doing the way they taught my enter Factory Mode, for tests on sensors and more...
Sorry for my bad english, Google Translator is helping me kk

Is your native language Chinese? Anyways to enter download mode, with your phone fully turned off, press the Volume Down, Home, and Power button until a blue warning screen appears. Then, press the Volume Up button once. To get out of download mode (or to force shut down your device), hold the Volume Down and Power button until the screen turns off. The phone should automatically restart and boot into the system after that.
I assume you know how to use Odin? If you are unsure, I'd suggest not messing around with the system images and use Smart Switch emergency firmware recovery instead. Otherwise, I could provide you detailed steps on how to use Odin.
Anyhow, the links to the official images are here,

P.S. Google Translate does not understand contexts really well.

Thx for the images! My native language is Brazilian Portuguese kk
As I said, this method of entering Download Mode only takes me to Factory Mode. Can you help me with this? Without download mode i can't connect with odin. Is there a way to install update by sd card (Recovery Mode)?

Upon prior research I found that most of them are having this problem due to having purchased a fake device (not original; an imitation). These devices have an MTK chip and does not have the Download Mode. Did you buy this set from an official retailer or at least a reputable site? If so I'd suggest that you return this set immediately.
Ads popping out of nowhere and random applications trying to install is already a call for suspicion. I have a J5 2016 at hand and have tried both region's firmware with no such problem occurring. Since this can be identified as a fake device, installing the official Samsung image would "brick" the device as the hardware configuration is marginally different.
Please check your PM.

I bought this cell phone from my aunt, it's certainly a fake copy of the Galaxy J7 ... Is there any way to solve yet? I'm very worried ... Where can I find the "PM"?

Sorry but this is beyond my reach. Perhaps you could post in the Samsung Galaxy J7 XDA forums and request for anyone who has the same device to perhaps do a system dump. Really sorry!

No needed unlock bootloafer to flash stock-factory firmware !!! you can find your model in sammobile & flash with odin or heimdall your stock rom again....

That's the problem right there. His device is not original from Samsung but is an imitation instead. Doing a skim through various threads here about imitation Samsung phones suggests that the hardware configuration is different like having an MTK processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon/Exynos. Flashing the factory firmware would only brick his device, but wouldn't be possible due to the lack of download mode.

After a long time, I discovered that my device is actually a system with MTK 6580 chip. Can you find a system for this version of the chip? I found a firmware here, but I can not install it. The DRAM error of SP Tools always appears, indicating that the firmware was not made for my mobile phone model. Could you help me with that?

Wait... can I check with you whether you have recovery? Is it TWRP? Could you take a picture of it and post it here? If it's the stock recovery then we would have no way of flashing. Doubt TWRP is made for your device as well too.

Hi all,
Right i used to flash custom roms on my phone all the time but haven't done it in a while i've kept it as stock....Last night i flashed a stock rom to my phone and lost the use of my menu and back soft keys? Now i haven't got a clue what to do i did read through a thread but that's just confued me even more...
I tried to flash a touch recovery on my phone but i don't think i can do that as i haven't rooted my phone yet? (is that correct)
Model Number: GT-i9505
And Ver:5.0.1
BB [email protected] I9505XXUHOJ2
Build Num: LRX22X.I9505XXUHOJ2
Any help is greatly appreciated
Recovery and root are different things. They can work independent of each other.
And rooting the phone is just as simple as flashing the recovery. Both processes are done via Odin.
You will be looking at TWRP recovery if you are to flash one. Odin install instructions can be found on their site.
As far as your keys go, I don't know what to suggest, other than flashing a different rom. Official roms shouldn't even cause such problems.
Thanks for the reply, I don't know what has happened but there is a thread full of it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/help/problems-official-update-signal-soft-t3250132
It definitely appears to be an error on Samsung's part. Or something went bad during the installation.
So basically the keys have the wrong "drivers" installed, or they were corrupted somehow.
The solution would be to try and update them using the menu posted in your reference thread.
Or try flashing a newer version stock rom, hopefully also updating the key firmware and fixing your problem.

You can install firmware from other countries if your phone is not carrier locked.
Or check for OTAs, I know there have been other updates since then. For instance, my baseband is UHOJ4, which is newer than yours.
If you can't force update the key firmware then you have two other options:
1) Send it to Samsung, as it is their fault.
2) Root it and use on-screen navigation keys. The problem with this option is the risk of screen burns, due to the long-term static image (the navbar) display.

S4 questions

Hi,
I have a problem identifying the phone. Behind the S4 battery pack and it says GT-i9500 but when I goes to the download mode, it shows as SCH-i545. The phone belongs to my friend and he asked for my help to fix the issue as now, the S4 can only go into download mode and could not go into recovery mode.
My question.
It is SCH-I545 or GT-19500?
How do I fix the soft brick issue?
What is the firmware that I should be using?
Thank you in advance for any answers.

UPDATE: Null imei and baseband not found.

It's a SCH-I545. Download mode doesn't lie.
To fix the soft brick you can try Kies (or whatever Samsung calls it now) or Odin.
With Odin you flash the firmware manually. You can download the firmware from sammobile.com, or you can use sammobile.com as a reference as to what firmware to download and download it from somewhere else.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I tried Kies and it says that the device is not supported. Also, I used Odin to flash and the device does not boot up, I can only go to Download mode for now but I could go to recovery as it shows Samsung logo with a Custom word. It doesn't bring me further than that.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tried the latest rom with Odin: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SCH-I545/ ?
The following is going to happen when you install the ROM.
1. The bootloader will end up locked.
2. The device will get no service at all, even if its IMEI is somehow restored.
Avoiding the first issue involves flashing an old ROM with a bootloader whose encryption was broken. There's no way to avoid the second. The lack of an IMEI complicates matters greatly. Restoring the IMEI is essentially impossible without tools and methods that cannot be discussed here; methods that the seller clearly knows about. Samsung will not touch this device as it has been modified and is being used outside of its country of origin.
Your friend is essentially screwed. Frankenphones. You've gotta love 'em.

J500F two problems, recovery screen is corrupt, custom roms will not boot.

Hello all,
I've got a couple of problems with a J500F. As usual, I rushed into doing things to the phone before reading fully (I've been installing various ROMS on my phones for quite a while now).
First of all, I've managed to install TWRP 3.0.2-0. But it seems that the calibration of the screen is way off what it should be. Clicking the "Install" button actually registers as the "Advanced" button. So I can still do things, I just need to guess where to click. Anyone else had this problem?
Secondly, every ROM I try and install will not work. I get a couple of horizontal lines across the screen, and nothing else.
Any help/suggestions are more than welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Tony.
Tony only tme you should panic is you mess efs . If you hve stock rom flash it via odin this would solve ur calibration issues. And install nickverse version of twrp maybe you installed a version for 6.0.1 instead of 5.1.1

I cannot get into the settings (cannot get a ROM to boot).
I've just tried the Nick Verse recovery, it continually reboots the phone unfortunately without ever getting to the recovery screen.
I'll try one of the European ROMs from Sammobile, hopefully that will get things working again.
ok, I've got a stock ROM on the phone and it's booting up. But the screen calibration problem is still there which makes it unusable.
Going to see if I can use the app on Google play (not sure how I'm going to connect to the wifi though).

I'm guessing you probably need to upgrade your rom. Strange lines and out of whack touches are usually due to an incorrect firmware vs kernel.
Ensure you are flashing the latest MM rom for your device if the TWRP you are using was built using a MM kernel.
Try flashing stock via Odin. Guides are available all over XDA on that.

Are you actually allowing the firmware to complete its update?
It must boot into recovery after odin finishes flashing otherwise the install isn't complete.
It should auto reboot to recovery and you should see 'erasing'
Then it will reboot and the update should be completed.
If it does not boot to recovery then this is likely why you have the described issues.

Yes. I've just reflashed to check. It downloads the image to the phone, reboots into recovery where it says erasing, installing system update etc. Then reboots and I get the "Android is upgrading" message where it does all it's "optimizing apps". The touchscreen error still persists .
I did video this (or portions of it) and can upload.

Which firmware are you using and what is your device spec?
I've got a few ROMs that I've tried
SM-J500F_20160812_J500FXXU1BPH1_J500FODD1BPH1_6.0.1
SM-J500F_20160512_J500FXXU1APE1_J500FOXX1APE1_5.1.1
J500FXXU1BPF4_J500FODD1BPF4_SLK
Same behaviour with all of them. I'm not entirely sure what region the phone was originally from, I purchase it on Amazon and believe it came from somewhere in Eastern Europe, so I've been trying images marked as Austrian, Slovakia, even Greece.
If it helps, the following is under the battery.

Samsung Galaxy 8 rooting problem

Hi Forum users
have a problem in attempting to ROOT my phone

I now get an Error that boots and reboots) the error is
"Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
can still get into Download screen, but cannot get to recovery (TWRP)
Oden can still connect to download screen.
I think what I need to do is a Factory reset again, and hopefully get back into RECOVERY
any suggestions or help would be gratefully received
thanks

1. Flashing firmware will delete twrp.
2. Being from Australia myself all firmware are on the website. You will have to filter out for Australian firmware.
3. Do you know what firmware you are on.

Flashing stock rom will restore you phone to it's original state. So you will have to install twrp and root again.
For information about firmware and Odin maybe this may be of some help.

If you are not sure about your firmware install the latest version.
On the website they will also have dates of when the firmwares are released.
You can use also samfirm or frija ( PC applications ) to download latest firmware.
OK will follow that info
and do the Firmware update
As I don't know the firmware number, will have to try the latest version
will do a bit more reading when I have a some time and give it a go
thanks for the links.
Will let you know how it turns out
THANKS
Few more Questions
OK done some reading
filtered out some relevent Files, (I hope)
one file took 16 hours to download (they where feeding it at 50kbs).
So have two files which where listed as XSA carrier,
others where Telstra and Optus.
As I am not aware of XSA carrier was hopping that it was some sort of generic carrier firmware
Is that correct ??
One is version 8
the other is version 9
So should I go with the version 9 ?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I get it right
THANKS

XSA is unbranded firmware ( it's what I have installed on my phone).
If you are locked into a carrier flashing other firmware will not unlock you from that carrier.
Not knowing what firmware you had before and because of download speeds you may have to use version 9 ( PIE ) firmware.
To check software version no. ( bootloader ) you can check in download mode. It should have a line saying AP SWREV: B : * - the star is your bootloader version. So you will have to use this version or higher when flashing firmware.
Make sure of your model number when searching for firmware. S8 = SM-G950f
Im having a similar problem, had to install stock july patch im using latest odin version then, i install recovery but when the phone reboots there is no recovery, tried to downgrade to february patch but odin dont allow it

Are you talking about stock or custom recovery and what is the issues you are having with it.
Depending on you bootloader version number you can not down grade firmware.
I tried to install stock recovery, the problem is: odin installs sucessfully recovery but when i try to go to recovery is not installed

Glad you got it sort out.
Not sure about the signing in. I use mobile app which is logged it to my Google account. I do have some issues with the PC ( without logging into Google ) but don't use it much. All I can suggest is to try a search on XDA or ask the moderators for assistance
Retry installing Recovery

Galaxy S8 bricked - Stuck in boot loop after flashing twrp

Hey there everyone,
I wanted to root my s8 (sm-950f) and when I flashed twrp my phone initially got stuck in Samsung logo. After managing to shut it down I tried to go to recovery mode to wipe everything and perform a factory reset but I can not do it. All that happens is I get to s8 screen and it reads in red on top left of the screen "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" and it keeps resetting itself. I can access download mode but that's it, I can't do anything else. Currently downloading a stock firmware to try and flash it but with the free downloads it's taking its time. Any help appreciated, I really want to unbrick my phone
note: It shows FRP and OEM lock to be off in download mode, i dont even know if i'll even be able to flash a new fw. Do I just have a very expensive brick in my hands now?

This must be a international S8... Did you activate oem unlock in developer settings before flashing twrp

I'm not sure if it's international, it's most likely a Turkish version.
And yeah to your question

But you know for a fact that there's a twrp version for your device.... Not good to do these expensive phones like that without officially having all the facts
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji3590])
Well it's too late for that now, I need actual solutions. I also tried smart switch - it doesn't recognize the phone

On the xda thread for your device there aren't no stock roms uploaded to Android host for fast download so you can flash in Odin and start the process of twrp again or just leave it alone you have a S8 it's good money
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji3590])
WHEW. Flashing a stock firmware seems to have fixed the issue. Mods can lock the thread.

I do want to root, but I don't want to approach it without knowing all my facts, do you have any suggestions for guides for Android 9.0?

Just look in your device forum everything Is there however your device is a international cause it ends in with the F so twrp does work for your device..... You just need to find the specific one for your model once you have twrp you can install a android 9 custom rom
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji3590])
I had same issue as you and was pointed towards this thread may be of some use to you?

I have tried with odin, prince cosmy odin, odin patched but FAIL everywhere, please help me, I just want twrp and i want to install a custom rom. thanks in advance everyone. If is a problem answer me here, you can send me a pvt message. I tried it from 3 days with the same FAILS :_(
I had this problem too a year ago but wasn't able to reflash the official firmware, but when I went to Samsung they fixed it for free even though Knox was already tripped
