Verizon Pixel xl 128 gb back orders post when you receive yours 12-5-16 on - Google Pixel XL Guides, News, & Discussion

Anyone receiving a back ordered verizon pixel xl 128gb after 12-5-16 please post what software yours came with.
Hopefully we can keep track of when they start to ship with the December update which blocks the dePixel8 bootloader unlock tool from working.
Once they start shipping with the December update added a lot of buyers on back order would like to know so they can cancel their orders and save them the verizon $35 return fee, which they would be charged the $35 return fee if they return the device after it has been received.
I think they charge the $35 return fee even if you do not activate the phone, which I could be wrong on that so if anyone knows for sure on that please post as it would be nice to be able to pop the sim out and boot it to see the software its on but yes you can also look on the box but there could be a chance the phone does not have the December update but the box could list it.
Anyway knowing when they start to ship with the December update added would be very interesting to buyers on back order like myself, so if you can post when you receive yours and what software it came with you would be helping out a lot of fellow purchasers. :good:

After all these delays there's no way in the world I'm going to let them charge me a restock fee if I decide to send mine back.

I went to the store just to triple check my supposed shipping date, and ask a different question.
Verizon Rep there told me that as long as I don't open the box, they won't charge me a restock fee if I decide to return it. If I open the box though, all bets are off.

My friends got pushed back to 12/26/16. Edit: He got an email with a new shipment date of 1/13/17 RIP.

I"am with you on that. I got a buy one get one 50% off deal so I really dont want to send them back but if I cant unlock the bootloaders then they are worthless to me. I hope mine come with 7.1 and not with the December update installed. That is why I started this post so we can all share this info and maybe save some buyers some aggravation.

When did your friend order his?

When I call *611 Verizon automaton says that my Pixel 128gb black is pending shipment and will be shipped by 12/9/2016. I have the 32gb pixel and when they came out w/ that lower cost monthly deal I made them give it to me since I just bought the 32 gb one less than 2 weeks prior. I'm always around 25 gbs used w/ zero movies and music on my phone so I'm looking forward to having more space.

He ordered his PIxel XL from Verizon back in early October.

I just got a text from Verizon saying that my order has gone through. My card has been charged now too. No tracking number yet, but looking good. I put my order in 10/31.

Supposedly someone talked to a rep and they said it will ship with dec update, but I'll believe it when I have it in my hands

I chatted with a Verizon rep. yesterday and she said all phones being shipped now have the unlocable 7.1.1.

I have to think that the manufacturing and subsequent shipping to Verizon had to have begun 2-3 weeks ago. If that's the case, these phone should all have the November build on them, since 7.1.1. wasn't officially released until a couple of days ago. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Unlockable 7.1.1 ? I do not think that rep has any clue or even understands what unlockable means as far as bootloader. I"am thinking they meant sim unlocked which all verizon phones come sim unlocked as I believe they had to due to an fcc agreement.
Now the google store versions are bootloader unlockable but the verizon versions are a locked bootloader but sim unlocked.

I agree, thinking it will take maybe a few weeks before pixel xl's ship with the december update. Just check your software number on the box and if its got the dec update dont open the sealed box and you can return it without having to pay the $35 fee which is what the one member posted that a verizon rep told him. If its got the dec update I would hold on to it as long as you can until the 15th day because someone on the verizon Pixel XL- Toggling the oem unlock switch thread that Blueyes started may figure out an unlock and that would suck if they did and you returned yours sooner than you had to

I received two emails from verizon friday afternoon both listing Account Change Notification Available in My Verizon which I have two verizon pixel xl 128's on order from verizon even though the listed ship date has been Jan 7th 2017 the list the monthly billing agreement for both phones. I"am hoping this means they will ship soon ? When I call *611 and say check on order the system just says the order is pending and I will be notified when it ships but there system lists no date unlike other xda members that list the automated system gives them a ship date or estimated ship date. The only date I have is the one that came on my order email that I received on 11-21-16.

Very.co.uk showing 25th March delivery still

I ordered the One from very.co.uk today and noticed it stated delivery was before the 25th March, seems odd that apart from P4U it seems everyone is quoting the 29th!

I spoke to the guys at 3 today via their sales team and they stated that they have the Silver in stock and would be delivered tomorrow should I order today the black one however isn't expected until 03/04/2013

What! I ordered from 3 yesterday an they said mine will be with me on 28th this month
Mines showing delivery Monday 25th but its not dispatched.
I ordered mine through Very with the same date of the 25th. Seeing as it was cheaper to pay for over couple of months. However after calling them 4 times to find out when I was going to receive the device I was given the suppliers number to call which turned out to be Nokia Support. I have since cancelled the order with Very and taken out a contract with 3 instead. Device should be with me by the 28th. Hopefully.

Hahaha! This made my day! lol I wonder what could have happened if some less knowledgeable people got that response They could have called nokia and inquired about HTC Epic fail!
Funny enough mines still showing delivery as the 25th but delivery status is 'order received by supplier' - I tried calling twice and was told that there was no update so order should be with me on the 25th. We shall see but as tomorrow is the 24th and a Sunday, I won't hold my breath.
Popped into P4U in Northampton yesterday for a look, they had it advertised as sim free for £459, asked if they had any in stock and he told me yes but not for sim only and that would be a few weeks, which is a lie as other people on here said they went to same store and bough one. Plus I want to be able to return it if build quality is pants and can't if bought in store.

Interesting and annoying that different stores have different prices for sim free.
I will be in that area next Friday but by that time Asda may have shipped mine so would need to go through hassle of returning it and refund for £40 saving.

On that basis, I will be taking the day off work on Monday and if it does not arrive I will be certainly giving them a piece of my mind. I have no confidence that it will be here/there on the 25th or 27th for that matter.
People buying from Very Handtec and Asda are all in the same boat. We have no actual ides when we will get our phones.
Only places that seem to give a realistic date is Three as they delivered phones this week as advertised.

You can pre order the g on Amazon now and it ships Dec. 4

But I am not sure which version it is.

Yeah, if you are a T-Mobile user here in the states, this won't do you any good unless you live closely to one of the refarmed 1900 3G areas.
Just got mine an hour ago from Amazon Germany (switching from the HTC Touch Pro2 with Energy ROM). :victory:
Amazon now has both the international and the US (supports T-mobile's 1700 MHz 3G) variants.
It is strange that Amazon is shipping Dec 4th, but Motorola isn't shipping the US variants until Dec 9th...

They had a mixup with the listing, and they had a lot of ppl asking them what versions they had.
Fortunately they modified their listing on time. Now it shows all the versions available separately. I believe they added the phone as one option and then they would ship them randomly. So that would've meant ppl getting the US variant when they actually wanted the Global one.
I will be waiting for the early buyers and see how everything fares.
I'll let post back when I get mine. I ordered a 16GB US version.
I find it annoying that Motorola does not let you cancel your order (outside of one hour of purchasing on their website) for a device that doesn't ship for a few weeks (I pre-ordered two when the link when live on their site). I would rather cancel that order and pick it up from Amazon personally.

I was unable to find a cancel option on their website, and spoke with a customer representative (before purchase) who told me cancellations must be done within one hour of purchase, even for preorders. There is a 14 day return window, but you must pay return shipping. If you are able to find a way to cancel let me know and I'll probably do the same.

I was told to call 866-289-6686 to cancel my order. I call them and it is the right number to cancel your order. I didn't cancel mine yet until my order from Amazon ships. let me know if it works for you. Wait time is about 15 minutes

I was on hold for about 20 minutes before speaking with someone within the Ecommerce Dept. They again placed me on hold for about 5 minutes. After checking the status of my order, I was told that it cannot be cancelled because it has already been sent to the warehouse for shipment?? They told me to "Reject the package" when it is delivered and when they receive it back I will be refunded...
I'll see how this goes and post my experience. It is unfortunate that Motorola does not have a better order cancellation system.

Yeah I did the same and they wouldn't let me cancel. Oh well, if I get the device by this week, then I guess the extra tax I spent on is worth it I suppose.

Suppose you are not home when it's delivered? The only way it could be rejected if a signature is required and I never signed for my other phone in the past. You would think they would make it easier, geeze,!

If you are not home when it is delivered, you can take it to the nearest FedEx store and tell them that you were not home when it was delivered and that you wish to refuse delivery. They will then return it to Motorola.
Also, you can leave a note on your door stating that you are refusing delivery of the package; just print you name and the date on the note.

Find it hard to believe it was already sent for shipment if it was the US version. When I talked to Motorola today, they still told me that my order was absolutely not shipping any sooner than the 9th. So I finally just canceled... I'll give Amazon a try. Worst case, I saved the money on tax and will have to wait a couple more days if Amazon has their shipping dates backwards as I think they might (though currently my order is still listed as shipping on the 4th). Worth it to go with the guaranteed customer service of Amazon in my opinion.

Amazon is now showing December 11th when the US version will be available and the 4th for the Global. they had the ship dates reversed. Glad I couldn't cancel my order from Motorola. LOL

If you have any plans to use this phone in the future with T-Mobile, it's highly recommended that you get the US version. It contains all of the wireless frequency bands required to get data on T-Mobile.
If you plan to use it only with AT&T in the US, and plan to use the same device when travelling abroad, then the Global version would work better for you as it is more compatible with carriers in other countries.

It's supposed to be shipped tomorrow so fingers crossed and I've been hearing that someone has found a way to unlock the bootloader??? This has not been confirmed as of yet but fingers crossed for the T-moble variant.. Has any one else get a tracking number??

I have had three reps tell me it's backordered and not shipping until 11/8-11/28 and my account recently updated to reflect this on the order. At this point, you're better off trying to walk into a store on 10/28 first thing when they open and pick it up.
Or you could just pre order hoping for the best. Then if it doesn't come by the 28th, cancel the pre order and just walk into the store to buy it.

Nah, at this point you're just better off walking into a store and picking it up. Everything I've got points to 11/8 being the early edge of the next availability range. At this point after all that I've been put through, I'm starting to entertain the idea of looking at other carriers. T-Mobile got me in over a dozen years ago for their customer service and now even that isn't any better than any other carrier I've had. (AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, had all three in one way or another.)
I ordered Monday morning, CC charged yesterday and ready for shipping this morning. I just got an email from Ups this evening saying it will be here tomorrow. I wasn't expecting that.
It has arrived, and I is very nice, now time to say goodbye to my Note 7...
I ordered at 10am central Monday morning in store (JOD). I have origin scan in Louisville and scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. I changed delivery to a hold at UPS customer center so I could get it at 9am when they open.
I just pre ordered mine. If I don't like it I'll pay it off and sell it on Swappa at full price lol. Or at least get my money back. Plus I keep the headphones too lol. Now the waiting game begins.

Tried to cancel the order and they said I couldn't because my cc was charged and on there end it shows ready for shipment however there was no tracking info. The only thing i got back was my expedited shipping fee credited to my account..........

Verizon Cancelled my Note 7 payments

A few weeks ago I spoke to a Verizon rep and he said that I would be paying off the Note 7 until I decided to replace it in the exchange.
HOWEVER
Just a few days ago as I was looking at my Verizon bill that my Note 7 payments had disappeared. Surprised by this, I asked a rep in the chat about it -- they told me that my Note 7 was completely paid for (I didn't pay it, in fact, I put the minimum down and was making payments since). Has anyone else noticed this on their accounts? It's a nice surprise.
When I turned mine in, I found out that they never charged me for my replacement note.

That's interesting. I assume that's when mine occurred as well. Kind of funny because it just serves as an incentive for me to keep it!

Wow, this is interesting. Have you done anything that would make Verizon think that you're no longer using your Note 7? Also was this in an email or text? I've been getting intermittent texts about returning the phone, but they all say the same thing about the voluntary recall.
Just checked my verizon account, my line no longer shows a phone payment charge, just the line access charge. Interesting. Any way to take advantage of this situation? lol

I have kept a very low profile and done nothing to make them think I am returning it or not using it. I get the periodic stock text, but nothing like this. If I were to accept the refund, I would think they might be able to blacklist my IMEI, and it would seem logical if I receive payment I would not longer own the phone. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks. I will. My current plan is to ignore the refund if they send it, as well as any return box they might send. I'll be horse that gets led to water, but I won't drink!
I got a note 7 right when the new batch released which I think was around September 21st and I've had mine since. As soon as the second recall was announced around Oct 10th Verizon wiped it clean from my account even though I still had it. It also showed my upgrade available so I got a Pixel XL which I then exchanged for the V20 and I still have the Note 7 as I type this. I even spoke with Verizon on the phone and the girl said my account shows no record of me having a Note 7, so I'm keeping it. I just use it as a wi-fi device now. If Verizon had any intentions of charging for the device they would have waited until it was returned before issuing any refunds or erasing from people's account.
i think you folks who bought them from Verizon are getting these freebies. i bought mine from a small affiliate store and am not seeing refunds.

Yeah I got my replacement the first day they were available -- this must when the payments were cancelled. Has anyone on Verizon with a note 7 not had their payments taken care of?
When the 2nd recall was announced verizon refunded me all the payments i had made and they gave me my upgrade back, i upgraded to the V20 and still have my note 7. Samsung sent me a box to send it back but i never did that was a month ago
i still have the og note 7. got it right before the recall hit in september. . as far as i can tell its free for me as well. i made one payment and was even refunded for that!! LoL

Samsung Pre-Order Shipping US Snapdragon

Anybody familiar with Samsung Pre-orders? All the Carriers and Best buy will have them on the 8th. Samsung says will be shipped by the 15th. Are they normally that far behind? If they dont ship til the 15th it's gonna be a long 2+ weeks waiting I already have 6 cases here lol. I'd buy from the carrier or BB but getting $550 Trade for a Note 8 is something i cant pass on. Then i switched to Verizon and am getting $250 Mastercard = $199 for the $999 128GB S10+. I went ahead and got the Verizon version instead of unlocked knowing if things stay the same I can flash unlocked firmware if i want to. But flashing carrier firmware on Unlocked (U1) leaves you losing a lot of carrier features (Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE, Video Calling) I dont know why the carriers do that. I can disable any and all bloatware on the carrier Firmware with package disabler apk to make it as clean as the unlocked but not lose anything. Plus the Unlocked version is always way behind on updates. I think it was my s8+ or s9+ that was 4 months behind on security updates.
Mine will be here on Tuesday, 5 Mar. I ordered the S10+ as soon as Sprint opened pre-ordering. I can't wait to throw my S7 Edge against the wall.
Received notification from T-Mo on Saturday (3-2) that my S10+ will arrive on Monday. T-mo almost always gets their's early so we can gloat over the big boys.
I'm actually pissed because the email they sent me for preorder guaranteed delivery by the 8th but aftee I ordered the scheduled ship date isnt until March 22nd!?! I contacted customer service and they were responsive at first, they told me they would escalate my inquiry and someone would get back to me. Havent heard a word since, I'm essentially on ignore! Even went through the customer service inquiry process again and never received a response back. If the carriers offer a similar trade in for my s9+ I'm cancelling my order with Samsung. I hate when a company thinks their too good to respond to customers. Apple has the same customer service issues smh

I just ordered last night, I got a 3/15 ship date. I ordered an AT&T device. I could get it from the carrier sooner according to ship dates but I'd lose the $130 store credit. Hoping it may ship sooner.
I preordered a Verizon 128gb Prism Black S10+ on 2/21 from Samsung and I got shipping notification this morning for delivery this Wednesday.

ugh I ordered my S10+ 128GB T-Mobile on 2/22 and no shipment info yet. Still gives me the option to cancel my order on Samsungs website. Says will arrive before 3/15.

I ordered mine from bestbuy and got 650 trade in for my s9+ a week ago. I was told they would mine on 3/8. I wanted the unlocked version without att crap.
Got an email that mine is due to arrive 3/6. (VZW)

Now their telling me the prism white is out of stock and delayed, I have never run into this kind of issue with Samsung I have owned many of their products... but these locked down phones and their horrendous customer service wreaks of Apple and I think I'm officially done

Ordered as soon as preorders opened for ceramic white S10+ unlocked. Shipping note this morning with delivery to California on Wednesday.
