all pda have 720p,radiofm.......I think that the pda producers study these deficiencies and so they can sell the next pda adding something
It's only vga resolution, but perhaps might get a 720P upgrade like other phones. It seems capable of 720P.
as long as the hardware supports it then I don't mind waiting...
The manual says when you send a video to a hd tv it sends it in 720p, so its in there some where

Thank you sir!
It might give 720 from Video Player, when You have 720p movie on Your memory card.
And camcorder is different thing; with recording VGA only.

no dell streak for me then.
I think it say vga and not 720p is because android 1.6 does not support 720p recording. Someone correct me if im wrong
It's quite possibly got the same chip as the N1 (the SOC does appear pretty close) and support for 720p came with the 2.x upgrade for that.
I reckon the hardware supports it, but we'll need a new software upgrade to do it.
take a look at the testing in this very forum to get 720p support on *ALL* snapdragon devices..

[Q] Stereo Video Recording

GSMArena noted that on the Galaxy Note :
The 3.5mm audio jack is on top of the Galaxy Note. The Note's secondary microphone (enabling stereo sound recording in videos and noise-suppression in calls ) is also located here.

Can anyone confirm this?
Confirmed. It is however nearly 3/4th of a thumb distance away from that hole.

I quote from GSMArena's review:
"Stereo recording will also be appreciated by many - in fact that's the main difference between the Note and the Galaxy S II in the imaging department."

9005 N3 audio/video out of sync..

I filmed a band on my Note 3 twice,in different venues. I was actually really pleased with the captured sound ,very much so.
The problem is I've noticed,is that the footage is slightly out of sync, the singers lips are not moving in time with his lines for instance.
Is this a common problem? Its a shame as I was pleasantly surprised at the quality otherwise.

I've notived that hardware decoding results in this with .mkv files.
Software decoding has them in sync, but uses about 20x the CPU clocks

Thanks , so what's the answer for me? As it stands my footage is useless, so can I rectify it?

Have you tried MX player? I've been able to play every bitrate on every file type I've tried.

Havent tried a different player as yet, could that help play the clips in sync then do you think? I just use the stock player

For mkv's to run in sync you need to decode with software. the SD800 decoder isnt optimized for mkv's.
MX player is the most popular video player that supports mkv decoding.
You can expect your battery life to drop from 14 hours (with hardware decoding) to around 8 hours (with software decoding)
