[UPDATE] Dec 7th:
Officially confirmed B562 is the first stable version.
7th push was only to the registered B552 beta testers. Rest of B552 users will get OTA starting on the 8th, as well as limited number of users on B386.

Update steps gathered from the forum:
1. Download the B562 files.
2. Downgrade back to B368 or prior versions so you can request an OTA.
3. Let OTA download but don't install.
4. Find "HwOUC" folder on internal SD card and replace the "update.zip" and "update_data_full_all_cn.zip" with the two from B562.
5. Back to the OTA screen and let it install.

Great news, hope the dream comes true! It looks astonishing so might be great !

This will be a hard decision for us Mate 8 users... CM 13 by @_skypol0 or EMUI 5.0?

I'm watching a video that describes the features of EMUI 5.0, a large amount of them are already in CM-13.
Depends on person's tastes The most important is to have the choice IMO.
CM-14 for the Mate 8 is also in my furture plans. Just need to wait for Huawei.

That's good news. Now we are waiting for root!!!

When you said the 7th, is that the 7th of December?
Also, does it say if this release is international? I was looking at the thread but google translate doesn't say anything understandable....

7th of December. I believe only AL10 is on B552, and if this is a limited release it will first be pushed to those 10500 users who have officially registered for the B552. But I mean once the update is in the wild it's only a matter of time till someone releases the update file. Fingers crossed

I was thinking it would be an OTA update? Honestly EMUI is the best OS I have used on Android and it would be great to have an update.

I have an AL10, and OTAs are slow to push for my device.

I have been using dload method since EMUI 4.1 because I couldn't wait for the push.
Do you still have the "HiCare" app? Go to the "update" section and you can sort of register your device to receive update. Sometimes it will pull the update right away.

So...does it mean, without thinking that the full update will be flashable on a NON ROOTED Mate 8, as mine, with "classical" Dload method ???? That would be great, but I don't want to launch on this unsecure process without being sure...So I will wait a little bit more...

So has anyone flashed it yet?

Cool

List of Mate 9 / Mate 9 Pro Latest FIrmwares

Since I spend 12 hours a day working with Huawei firmware, I figured a list may be handy.
Key:
Model and Version
Chinese Model:
MHA-AL00C00B301 (EMUI 5.1, beta)
MHA-AL00C00B203
Meafnaf (Middle East / North Africa) Models
MHA-L29C185B181
LON-L29C185B180
Eu (Europe) Models
MHA-L09C432B182
MHA-L29C432B182
LON-L29C432B185
Spcseas (Asia/Pacific) Models
MHA-L29C636B181
LON-L29C636B182
USA Model
MHA-L29C567B190
Porsche Model
LON-L29C721B185
Generic Model
MHA-L09C900B186
MHA-L29C900B186
LON-L29C900B187
Note: It's not possible to tell how new a firmware is based only on its build number. For example, MHA-L29C567B183 has a very high build number, but it's much older than MHA-L29C636B181
Any chance to include the PD version in this list?
Anyways, it's depressing to see they are developing indeed, but they are struggling so hard at keeping a decent official release pace. I mean, pretty much everything is unauthenticated, or if it is it still takes ages to become available. If it wasn't for Firmware Finder, I'd still be stuck at a 4 months old firmware on my PD, without 10x zoom, all the camera tweaks which were applied later and so on, how can this be possible?!

Ok, added it.
Actually, Huawei is very active with development, but not active with public releases/authentication. Basically, the rollout cycle is:
Build, upload for internal use (usually day after build), upload publicly, release to some devices, release to all devices.
With the Porsche Design Mate 9, they actually had a build 156, but they never ended up uploading it or releasing it publicly, and just jumped to 174, then 180, without publicly releasing them. It is strange, indeed, but the Porsche tends to get updates fast enough, internally, at least. I feel most sorry for the LON-L29C432 users, really, because they seem to get the updates last.

Well,
MHA-L29C567B183 <-- old
MHA-L29C636B180 <-- newer
Somehow that makes sense. At first, your statement scared me a bit ("wtf are they doing?").
Let's see what comes next. I personally am sick and tired of flashing. Bricked more than one phone (although Samsungs); I'll be waiting quietly here until they release whatever they want to release.
Ooommmmh
Cheers

I have LON-C432 and you are right that this model gets update last of them all and that realy sucks. Is it possible to debrand it to PD if we flash oeminfo on it?

Yes, it's possible. The best branding isn't PD, though. It's probably LON-L29C636 which gets fastest updates.

Of course there are benefits, but it's impossible to know exactly what they are. I know the kernel is newly built and the security patches are more recent. Otherwise, seems to be mainly power management/performance-related, but the changelogs are so vague, so it's up to fate whether or not you feel an actual substantial change. Not many people have tried it at this point.
If you want the files, just use HiSuite to try and install the update. The files will be downloaded to your Documents\HiSuite folder. If you're rooted, it's possible the HiSuite update might fail, but you'll get the files.

Never mind. I thought you were using a service not available to the general public, if that makes any sense. If not, there's no way to install B180, anyway, as it's not on Huawei's public servers, and is not being authenticated by Huawei.

Do you notice any difference with battery drain?
Using Firmware Finder I found newer ROMs than my current 158. What's the difference between FullOTA-MF and OTA-MF? I know one is huge but which do i download to upgrade please?
I am thinking to upgrade to 172 as 180 has no FullOTA file.
And which one is best to download of the three? It's very confusing. I did all this fine on my Mate 8 but now i forget. Thanks.

Firmware Finder will only work on older releases which are signed by Huawei. When a new release is found, Huawei won't be signing it for your device for a few weeks in most cases. You'll have to use a different method if you want to install 180.

Funny because it comes with August security patches...when probably will already be end of september or even october when the update becomes avaible xD. However i know i can update manually, but i prefer to wait for OTA. Last time i update with twrp i missed some options in "settings" so i want to avoid mistakes and errors

You actually WEREN'T right bud. Models already had some if not all of those features. Also, you can't install an update unless it's approved and if it is then you hit system update and bam there's the update. Unless you want to do it the moronic way with redlotus or the other ghetto way and screw your phone up. I said NOTHING about firmware finder bud. And I could care less if people know about it because like I said unless it's approved you aren't getting the update anyway.

And small update is OTA update. (firmware marked "FullOTA" is complete firmware, also available OTA if you choose to download "Full package" in System Update options)

So, "397-log", it is not a patch/addon for 397, its some new beta functionality based on 397 firmware, yes?

I have no experience whatsoever with Honor devices in regards to modding, but I would guess that one could make a flashable zip out of the full ota update that you can download, and flash it through twrp

Ok, I will wait until the release is stable and at least for USA, hopefully it will release for us.

Apparently, they plan to release the global beta (idk which countries tho, I hope it will be like last time) on June 19th, gonna take a good while. Still happy that the device is going to get official support, as the hw is not so mainstream

This has been installed already without needing to do rebranding.
Installed with hwota.
.has bugs and not quite ready for general use.
It has no Google app store. Gapps cannot be installed. Adb install is not working.
It is a true work in progress.
My.opinion for right now,. If you need to ask how to install it, then you will have issues to use it as well.

Thank you for the info.
Yes, modding these devices looks more difficult than any other device I own, that's why I won't touch it until end of support (got my unlock code thanks to xda)
