[Q] Can't boot into fastboot - how to solve this problem? - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Good evening guys,
There's a really strange problem on my Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31. I'm not able to boot into fastboot mode. I tried to boot with Power + Volume down and adb reboot bootloader, but in both cases it's just restarting in the normal way.
Another interesting fact: I unlocked the Bootloader, but there's no warning message before the boot animation as it should be. I had these warning some time ago and I'm not sure when it has stopped to warn. Maybe at flashing the B161 to a B160.
I'm currently on VNS-L31C432B160. Do you have any tips for me? How to boot into fastboot?
Thanks!
Vincent

I solved the problem! If anyone has the same problem, try the following:
Shut down your phone -> open ADB command prompt on your PC -> press and hold Volume Down button (nothing other!) -> connect the USB cable to your phone -> your phone should now be in fastboot -> "fasboot reboot"
Now I'm able to boot normal in fastboot again.
Problem solved - thanks!

Is it possible to totally brick phone?
I have installed B170 version for VNS-L21, after it, in fastboot what I did was unlock phone with unlock code.
After restart my phone is only on screen:
"your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted"
"your device is booting now"
And nothings happen
I can't boot to
- erecovery - when I'm trying to boot by VolUp + Power its going to - "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and "your device is booting now" and nothings happend
- install from dload - VolUp + VolDown + Power its going to - "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and "your device is booting now" and nothings happend
- boot to fastboot because VolDown + Power is not working - its going to - "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and "your device is booting now" and nothings happend
Even when I was connecting phone by usb cable to computer I have only info: <waiting for device> it looks like my phone isnt recognize.
Is there a possibility to help my phone ?

Did you hold volume down and then plugged your phone to your PC ?

Have to try it , hope it works

I have your same problem, kosiak07. Can you tell me if it worked?

It's not working, when I hold volDown and then plugged usb cable to PC it's going to screen: "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and "your device is booting now" and nothings happend.
I think the only solution will be change motherboard

Kosiak07 did you fix it or just bought neu Mainboard?

Try waiting till the battery is fully discharged, then press a hold Volume down and connect phone to PC ,hold Volume down until your phone will turn on ( it may take 5 - 7 minutes ).
Or, try flash stock firmware via dload (create a folder on the root of the sd card called dload , then put the stock huawei uppdate.app in the folder then shut down and hold volume up, down and the power button at the same time and it will flash the stock firmware).

Is very strange, your bootloader has not disappeared...
You have try with HiSuite >> repair phone?
Follow on screen instructions, HiSuite is able to boot phone on bootloader.
Last try with command:
Tipe "fastboot reboot bootloader", you see "waiting for any devices", plug your phone on PC and wait or push power button if you see the warning phone can be trusted...

I watch again your first video..
1. You see huawei logo
2.You see the screen "your phone can trust..."
3. See huawei logo again
4.You see a other screen but no options, just "your device is booting now".
Ok so the "pré-boot" is corect..
Just after the 4 point, launch fastboot reboot bootloader comand.. try again many time, at different (1 second after the screen 4 or 3 sec after screen 4, ...)
I sure at 100% work, it's forced..
It's the only solutions for that.

Ok . I understand that he phone don't boot and u don't have fastboot . Turn it off , hold volume down and plug in usb cable . If nothing will happen use dload. It's the simplest way to fix it phone and u didn't even try it ....
Or if it won't work flash rollback package via dload and then mm ROM

Dload rollback idk how it actually works but always I could flash any ROMs via dload after that . Even nugat ROM when I used it xD . Meaby its bug 4 me , meaby that's how it works . Idk . Try

Try this utility HERE for boot to bootloader..
Or try DC unlocker..
If you not have acces to bootloader, you not able to restore phone (in your state)

"Your device is corrupt.."

"It can't be trusted and my not work properly"
Hi,
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp but can't boot the phone anymore.
It only starts when pressing power button + volume up. Then I get following message two times before I get the third, final message mentioned in the headline:
Code:
Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted
After that it tells my to press the power button to continue -> phone goes off.
Can't connect to adb shell, so what can I do?

Can you get into recovery? If so, I would say connect phone in recovery, (will show up on PC as mtp device), then copy anything you don't want to lose. Then do a full wipe, and flash stock rom, or custom rom and see if the message is still there.
Managed to enter recovery for once. Flashed Omnirom but know it stucks at the 'Sony screen'.
Can't get into recovery anymore.
I did it!
It works!
Don't ask me how. Wild keypress combinations and luck.
I think its related to sony drm, you have to flash genesis kernel for it to work well, anyway good luck

Note 8 with boot loop and no access to bootloader

Hi, big problem with my note.
Unlocked with custom rom today starts going in bootloop with warning screen about this is not the original rom. So I shut down the phone and after a bit I connect it to the power ac and the phone starts to boot loop with logo honor heavenly background. I cannot enter in bootloader pressing the right buttons.
Is it bricked? There's anything I can do? Please help me and sorry for my english.
Thanks.
Hi @rolling_bonzy
you can try to enter erecovery and let it install the latest version of stockrom.
to do this, connect your device to your computer with usb, then hold powerbutton as long as it needs to restart, then keep holding "vol+" until on the screen "your device has been blablabla not trusted" and the message shows up "your device is booting now..." - wait a while and you land in the Huawei eRecovery, where you can "Download latest version and recovery" ... do that
perhaps it is needed a second time after that for doing a factory reset in the same menu
let us know if it worked, cheers =)

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately no succes. But I notice that if I press "vol -" it stops to boot loop and the screen is black. If I release the button restart flashing.
and does it flash or only wants to?
perhaps you have a chance if you create a 'dload'-folder on your sdcard and therein copy this file (for example): http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3130/g1699/v168765/f1/full/update.zip (i have it from the topmost entry from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=EDI-AL10&firmware_page=0 -> click on 'filelist')
After that, connect your device with usb on the computer, restart and keep holding vol+ and vol-
keep us updated

[BOOT PROBLEM] - After Unlocking the Bootloader

So I successfully unlocked the bootloader of my phone, but moments later after the usual message "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and the Sony logo has appeared, it then bootloops. Showing the message and the logo over and over again. Is there a way to fix this?

As what I stated earlier, it's a bootloop. Here's a video of my problem. 'youtu.be (slash) vg7gDIK_zIU'
Also, when I connect the phone with the USB as Green LED will appear in order to enter bootloop, there will be a certain amount of one minute to bootloop automatically. I have to hold Volume Up and Power Button at the same time on the black screen in order to shut down.
try holding vol down and power once it reboots
You just need to reflash a firmware with flashtool, and it will be ok. Remember to download firmwares by Xperiafirm on flashtool

How can I reflash my phone when I can't get my phone into fastboot mode (blue icon won't lit). Even Sony's Emma couldn't detect the phone after I plug it to the PC while Holding Volume Up button.
Flashmode not Fastboot mode

Try presing volume (-) button which will make your phone enter into flashmode, and flash your firmware by flashtool, if you use the volume (+) button the software will not recognize your phone, and remember to install the drivers provided by Flashtool.

I think I bricked my P10 Lite. Need help please

I was messing with my P10 Lite and I accidentally wiped the Vendor partition (not sure if I wiped anything else) with TWRP. After the phone rebooted it said something about a critical error during boot and went into erecovery. It gave me two options( I don't remember the second one) and I chose factory reset. It started doing it's thing but I guess something went wrong because it wasn't able to boot and it started to bootloop.
I managed to get into fastboot once. The bootloader and FRP should be unlocked but I am not sure as I think I semi accidentally used the command to relock the bootloader in the hopes of it doing the automatic low level factory reset. After that restart, the phone wanted to boot up but after the Huawei logo it went into the EMUI logo which I've shown in the pictures. Now I can't use any button combination and can't enter any menu. I also can't shut down the phone as it bootloops into the EMUI logo after I press the power button. I opened the phone and turned it off by detaching the battery cable but after holding the power down key and plugging the usb cable into the phone it still boots into the EMUI logo right after the Huawei logo.
I guess not being able to enter fastboot is the major issue and after hours of googling I am yet to find a solution.
Edit: I am a newb!
Please help!
Why did you delete the vendor partition, you could try plugging the phone into your computer and checking if you can do anything with fastboot while it's showing emui logo?

I've already tried that. I've placed the appropriate files into my SDcard but I can't use any button commands including volume up+down+power. When I press them my device just boots into the EMUI logo and nothing happens.
Edit: It boots into the EMUI logo even if I only press the power button. Pressing volume down + usb also boots me into the EMUI logo

Press and Hold VOL Down and connect the phone to PC via USB cable. The phone should boot into Bootloader (fastboot mode). Does this method work?
or try this:
Press and Hold VOL Up and connect the phone to PC via USB cable. The phone should boot into eRecovey mode and then then select "Download latest stock rom and install".

Ok, it seems like not all is lost about my phone. I managed to get into fastboot. In my situation, pressing volume down + usb cable while the battery was plugged into the phone did not work. That was before I opened up my phone's case and disconnected the battery cable.
As I mentioned before, I had opened my phone and disconnected the battery cable because that was the only way to shut it off.
What I did after I disconnected the battery cable was the following:
1 - Hold volume down and don't release it
2 - Plug in USB
3 - Plug in the battery cable into the phone's mobo.
That booted me into fastboot. Right now, the phone says my bootloader in unlocked and my FRP is locked. What would be the best way to flash the new stock OS on my phone?

I have downloaded THIS and THIS for the new OS but by talking with Alexxxx1 in THIS discussion I learnt that Huawei has implemented a security patch in their latest update, which I've most likely installed, that prevents you from rolling back your OS version. That means I need to install the .386 version, which should be the last if I am not wrong, instead of the .378 correct? Though I heavily dislike patches like this I guess I can't do anything about that...
