is that possible to root Zenfone 2 Laser ze550kl(ZOOL) marshmallow latest firmware? - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using ZOOL ZE550kl device with ww_21.40.1220.1877_20160902 build. Is there any root exploit that can be done on this phone. I guess unlocking bootloader too is tough on this version. Any ideas?

There are thousands of people on here with rooted unlocked 550kl's. You should probably learn to search before asking. Reading is essential and will save you a lot of time in the long run. To get you started here's 2 links. Both of which are in the same forum as your posted question. Good luck. Many people will help you if you need it within those threads.

You have to download the full zip file and unzip it to get the system file.

The difference is that the files in the mega link are prerooted. When you flash the prerooted system.img then it roots your phone. Once you have a rooted device then you can follow the bootloader unlocker thread and within 10+ minutes you'll be unlocked. After unlocking you can flash TWRP recovery and any ROM for your device.

Have you done what you claim? It's funny all the developers on here say it's impossible.

There is an official ASUS unlocking tool that I know for a fact doesn't work for everyone. It didn't work on mine after trying many times. That's why the unlocking method I'm describing above was created. There was a whole lot of work that went into those methods by a lot of really smart people. I don't think they would've done all that if it was just as easy as flashing TWRP and SuperSU.

[Q] Upgrading from 4.2 to 4.4

My Google powers are wearing out, so I figure I will ask directly.
I am currently rooted, running the stock ROM on my L720. The android version is 4.2.2 and the build is JDQ39.L720VPUAMDL. I want to upgrade to 4.4, but I want to either keep it rooted or be able to reroot the phone.
Currently I can turn on my Hotspot with no additional app. I want to be able to continue using my phone as a HS. This is essential. A functionality my phone doesn't have is the ability to move apps to SD.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. (And I'm sure this question is asked a thousand times a day, but google and search are failing me ) Thank you so much!

Is this like Sprint's android version of herpes?
I admit that I am a bit confused. Do I need to unroot my phone before I do this? I hate asking for help, but I really don't want to screw up my hotspot

Hahah it can be compared to that , although I swear I wouldn't know.
To understand Knox, Google it and read up on it. Its just a Samsung warranty /security thing. Most of us don't care having it or tripping the Knox flag.

If he's on OC4, then he can Odin back to NCG and root from there and flash any VZW S5 TouchWiz ROM that he'd like. Following the OP's instructions of course. I got this S5 on the OC4 version and haven't "officially" updated to newer versions yet. Just update the proper "flashable" firmware as needed for the ROM I'm running
I'm not sure but the new root method that JrKrsue has developed is for one's that are on OE1 and up. Due to those were the one's that were unable to gain root. I could be wrong but if you're on OD5 and below, you can get root by Odin back to NCG. Please feel free to chime in if I'm wrong or mistaken
I have used jrkruse method to root Boc4 also there are two different methods now for rooting as I will never go beyond bod5 on the bootloader so I will always have the choice to go back to 100% kit kat witch includes kit kat bootloader

SBF, S-OFF & root question any help apprechiated

Been reading and cant find a definitive answer so any help would be awesome.
I have a Verizon RAZR M 4.4.2 183.46.15, I have S-Off through Sunshine, rooted and TWRP installed. Somewhere through the process I lost all back ups and even stock images. I have tried several ROMS and none will get bast the boot loader screen. What I am wanting to try is an SBF back to 183.46.15 stock and go from there.
If I do this and SBF back to stock will I loose S-Off and have to spend $25. more to regain S-Off or is S-Off permanent? Or should I SBF to an older version? Links to SBF files are also welcome
Thanks in advance for an info.

Everything is working again after flashing a recovery with RSD. However i'e tried several custom roms and all of them never get past the boot loader screen. CM 12.1, Bliss pop and Dirty Unicorn, I'm really not picky just looking for a stable ROM.
RAZR M - Unlocked - Rooted 4.4.2 - 183.46.15 - TWRP v2.8.5.0 installed.

Where is TWERP for g900vvru2dpf4?

Heya, I've been trying to root my Galaxy S5 (Verizon Marshmallow 6.0.1 g900vvru2dpf4) and the instructions I'm following say that I need TWRP (or a similar custom recovery) but, I can't find the link to TWRP for g900vvru2dpf4. If anyone can link me to it or a similar custom recovery for Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon Marshmallow 6.0.1 that would help a lot.
