How's your batt life? - Xperia Z2 General

Still the best. ?

This is best with no Wi-Fi or 3g and stamina on? I had yesterday 6.30 hours with no stamina and always connected to Internet. And did charge it after 2 days.

I'm using the wifi the whole time and I just turn it off.

I'm still getting 7-8 hrs of SOT with all the functions working.
And 0.03% per hour when phone's in idle state.

Existenz Rom brother.
But I'm using greenify , amplify , force doze , power nap to get the idle battery time. If you want I can give the link of those threads.

3-4 hours SOT. EXistenZ MM using Amplify and Force Doze. I feel like coming back to stock after long time.

Well, i will reflash ROM, calibrate the battery and give it a try to all of those stuff. I've been using Amplify and force doze but the results are regular.

Greenify is a great app. Also try using it.
Plus the configuration bro. I've set my phone to all black wherever possible. Like black keyboard (Google keyboard + black theme ) , black wallpaper, black notifications, and dark themes in all the apps. As black uses less battery than white because of the pixels. Plus an app "MONOCHROME" turns your phone to black and white after 15% battery. That saves a lot battery and increases you SOT by almost an hour.
And I can give you my amplify settings if you want.
Don't forget to press thanks

I'm getting only 4h SoT on Pure Z2. On EXistenZ it was about the same. I'm thinking about going back to stock. Or maybe I should root it again and flash TWRP again, because of often soft changing. I have always Google Play Services on the first place. My battery has only 5 months.

Thank You! I was looking for something like that!
So shouldn't I do the battery calibration yet?
I was planning it, but maybe I should try this first. I don't know yet if I will try this on EXistenZ or Kryptonian or Stock?
I like Xperia X mods very much.

hey folks! im thinking of getting this phone, I had xperia S and went to an s3 because of horrible battery life on XS so . . Since this phone seems nice and has quite a big battery (2370mah and a smaller screen compared with my s3 2100 and big amoled screen) do you think it will get me satisfied ? I personally love its design (only missing a decent front camera) so . . is it worth the deal? Thanks in advance

There's an app that keep running in the background, waking up the CPU or data, install wakelock detector to find it.
As for me, normally from 100% to 1% I get 6.5 hours on screen time non stop on 3G.
I heard smaller battery in S3, optimus G goes for more.

Help me understand my battery

Nexus 6p running 7.1.1 beta. Rooted, but running stock ROM and kernel. Only modifications are Pixel launcher and Google Assistant. Brightness at 10-15%. Wi-Fi is on while the screen is on only, but Bluetooth and mobile data are always off. Location services are set to battery saving. Screen timeout set to 30 seconds. Adaptive brightness and ambient display is off. I'm only getting 3hrs SOT, but standby time is great. Only watch one hour of YouTube altogether and use social media often. Is this good or is there something wrong with my battery? ?

I get 4 hrs of SOT
Average use daily is checking e-mails - checking Facebook and Twitter - Youtube and Music streaming - no games.... Sometimes, it drains without even doing that and I barely pass a day without charging it.....
PS:
The Screen on time is inconsistent as it might be just 2 hrs or 3 hrs and it would be consumed completely!
Is there a ROM or an app or anything that can help me get better SOT?
Thanks and apologies for the message, I now know that it was unnecessary.

Make sure you let it run for a couple full cycles and you have to read it correctly. You can't get useful stats the minute you install it because it needs to run through full cycles while charging and unplugged, as it can only provide information for the time it's been installed. The longer you run it, the more accurate it is. Second, the App Usage stat is a percentage of the percentage of battery used. So if your battery is at 70% when you look at app usage and it says those things used 57% of the battery, that's 57% of the 30% used to that point.
You also need to look at the Held Awake stats because that will tell you what, if any, processes are keeping your phone awake and thus contributing to drain.
I have found that the system in Nougat does tend to use more battery than it did in MM. However, doze implementation is better and it deep sleeps more and does a better job of saving battery. In fact since Nougat, I've stopped using Greenify because it actually seemed to make my battery worse. Since I've been on Nougat I get well over a day on a charge with about 5-5:30 SoT. However, battery also comes down to what ROM and kernel you use and how much you do processor and screen intensive tasks. Music streaming doesn't tend to use much battery, but if you spend a lot of time web surfing, Youtube and games, you'll cook your battery no matter what. If you use the Facebook app, nothing you can do will help as it's a dreadful battery suck.
Here are the numbers provided by the GSam App
Are these numbers good or bad?
The average use gets me through the day but if I use it heavily, it would last 3hrs max.

attery life after 7.0 update is terrible, first beta was great I got 6-7 hour of SOT, now I get only 2 hours, what about you guys ? (4G always on, AOD on, internet browsing, messenger, light gaming)
That's suprising. I am getting great battery life since Nougat 7.0
Stock firmware.
Around 110 apps installed
No battery saving apps (such as Greenify).
No apps are optimized for battery saving.
Always on Display enabled.
Auto Brightness Enabled

My battery life is on par with my original March 2016 MM release, which is pretty decent. I did have huge battery season at first on nougat, but removing the built in news app seemed to resolve this. Not sure if that was coincidence though.

standby is great but while using the phone the battery drains a lot more in nougat than marshmallow, even the hd and fhd options seems useless coz they don't help a lot with saving the battery. the moment i unlock my device and start using it the battery starts to drop immediately .may be need to visit service centre.
Using the device for more than 1 hour and its showing 38 minutes moreover no detail of usage is it a bug? Fee minutes ago it was showing correct

No unfortunately not. But after a factory reset it never came back in such a huge way, before the factory reset it suddenly appeared on top in the usage list with 45% usage, dropping my phone's battery from 90% to 40% in less than 1 hour.
My settings aren't really special, I only use sync when my phone is charging (regular charging, I don't ever use fast charging), I don't use AOD, Location or NFC, and I have disabled pretty much everything that can be disabled through the phone itself, without using a package disabler. Also, my screen resolution is on 720P.
I love the batterylife on my s7 edge with 7.0 btu. It's way better then mm

Turn your brightness down. Check background app usage, customize syncing, freeze or uninstall unused apps/app services. Go easy on data usage in areas with a weak signal. Polling kills your phone quick. Get a portable power supply

I changed the original battery for another of 7600mah because it had a short duration. now I arrive at 9 hours of screen with the maximum brightness and Wi-Fi on. The only drawback of changing the battery for a bigger one is that the phone gets fatter

Your phone is running stock firmware, right?
My phone is E330S, korean version of s4 LTE A, hardware is the same. And normally I can get > 3h onscreen without gaming (stock firmware).
If you are running AOSP base rom, I can't tell.
I think you should buy a new battery.

Try using another rom like los 14.1 or 15.1 with greenify and amplify and also use open gapps pico for minimal battery consumption.
