i there, after replace the lcd from this phone the proximity sensor stops working ,when i make a call the screen goes off and i have no control of the phone, i cant end call because the phone get stuck in black screen and dont respond to the power buton that i define to end calls .
theres any change to disable the proximity sensor by software?

No problem, is a normal function
Yup, that's normal behavior. There is a sensor which senses when you have the phone touching your face. It then turns the screen off. You wouldn't want it to activate all kinds of options while rubbing your face.

I have another problem which is the Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.10W.
Is a cracked version, after i installed S2U2 v1.60, the below error message pops up while half way using the Garmin GPS:
"Read access violation at data address 0xF9C3D650. Program address 0x0016FAF4 in background thread NULL (GfxFieldWindowProc)".
Is this caused by the settings for S2U2?
Besides, sometimes it took too long time to get the satellites signals, can be up to 20mins long!

How to keep screen on in call (no blackout): solution
All registry hacks & Advanced Config tricks for keeping the screen on while a call is in progress do not apply to the Jade/3G.
However, there is a solution to overcome this annoying feature:
install Touch InCall Screen Tweak, and set the options "Ignore first screen off" and "Always On" in the options.
Why keep the screen on during call? Your face will just start activating things at random. If you really need it on (maybe using earpiece) you can always press the power button.

I have never accidently pressed anything on the screen while calling.
However, having to press the power button to bring the screen back while calling voicemail has annoyed me many times.
I also believe it is annoying that the screen blacks out. Even when I have the phone facing down and not to my ear, the screen blacks

I am using non-transparent plastic protective case. It is useful and I like it but there is one problem and I could not find solution searching the HD2 forum. The problem is that the proximity sensor thinks that the phone is constantly to my ear and when I dial the screen immediately goes off - this is a problem if I want to enable speaker or if I am calling phone with automatic answering (e.g. for information press 1, to check credit press 2 to contact operator press 9 etc ... ) Should I remove the case or there is another way to override the proximity sensor for a certain call. A button to turn screen on when you need it will be great but I could not find a way to configure this.

I have problem with the latest builds, currently I am using BOYPPC_SHIFTPDA Ginger.S. Almost everytime I start dialing the screen goes black and the phone locks. I can finish the call but the phone remains locked - black screen with the buttons light on.
I manage to wake it by calling myself from another phone and and sending busytone or by pluging in USB.
I managed to be able to wake the phone up with a program called Sanity. But I still cannot wake the phone during the call, for example to send DTMF tone.
This seems to be connected with the proximity sensor. When I check the status it isn't giving any values, or sometime gives some random values. I think it isn't broken because sometimes it works well.
I haven't had this problem with MIUI builds.
So probably removing the proximity sensor drivers would solve it
also have the same problem. Ending a call makes my phone keep its screen turned off... Until i find a lamp wehere i can holde the sensor under it so that it turns on the screen again.
I'd just like to have an option so that the screen doesn't turn off in a call. I mean it must be possible to deactivate the sensor...
Just press the middle button - the win flag button - and the screen goes on again.
not easy as that the phone doesn't react at all. Hardware keys lighten up but screen stays black. Looks funny when you search for a bright light source just to use your phone again after a phone call .

Does your proximity sensor work well?
Does your screen turn on when you pull the phone away from your ear, without hitting the power button, during a call?
Try calibrating your proximity sensor.
1. ##634# in the phone pad
2. exit out and go to your programs list open diagnoistic app
3. type *#0*# in diagnotic app
4. hit proximity soft key and calibrate phone by moving finger close and far from proximity sensor.
5. if that doesn't work you might want to get a new one.

On all the noughat roms i've used i'm having an issue with the proximity sensor.
The problem is, whenever I call someone or pick up a call the screen goes black.
I changes the settings so that pressing the power button cuts the call, but i can't put the call on speaker cause i can never see the caller screen, because of this problem.

Also i'd like to mention that I've tried the method in which you push a reconciled apk through ADB. This method used to work, but that stopped working.
