[ZIP][OOS 4.0.1] Flashable Stock ROM/Firmware/Modem - OnePlus 3T Guides, News, & Discussion

I'll keep a list of firmware and modems here, with TWRP flashable zip files and images. If using stock everything or your recovery won't boot, you may flash the images with fastboot, and the complete rom is flashable with stock recovery!
Information
Complete ROM - Flash in stock or custom recovery to return to stock or update/downgrade.
Firmware Only - Flashes all the firmware without the rom. Useful when using a custom rom and want the latest firmware, without OxygenOS.
Modem Only - Flashes only the modem and nv. This is helpful for finding what modem has best coverage for you, without rom incompatibilities.
Stock Recovery Image - Recovery.img for the oxygenOS recovery, for going completely back to stock!
Stock Boot Image - Unmodifed boot.img from the update, useful to remove systemless mods, when you have no backup!

Might be a stupid question, but are any of those flashable in TWRP to update from 3.5.1 stock rom that has been rooted?
Edit : I did my homework and kept digging on the forum :
The Complete ROM can be "installed" in TWRP to update the current stock rom.

Thank you for this! I was excited and unlocked bootloader and rooted as soon as I had it out of the box, then the OTA didn't work. Was able to flash this and get to 3.5.3 .

Sorry for the confusion. I added descriptions in the OP for all 3 zips!

Thank you!
Would you be able to add md5 or sha1 sums for the files as well so that we can be sure no bits or bytes are lost during download?

Hi, my phone app won't work on my 3t so therefore I gave no calling capabilities. I have TWRP and I'm rooted. I also have Xposed installed. Would flashing any of the three files help recover my calling capability? And if so, which file should I flash? Also I'd prefer to keep all my phone data so would flashing any of these need a system wipe first?

Flash the xposed uninstaller or just turn off xposed to see if that fixes the issue.

I tried disabling Xposed and uninstalling it, both didn't work. Any other suggestions? At this point I'm willing to go back to stock everything but I'm not sure if that will fix the issue.

Does anyone have a mirror of the Complete ROM 3.5.3?
i've tried to download this multiple times, different devices, different internet sources. And it keeps failing halfway through.
After installling TWRP and following the directions to boot back into the OS i was succesful. but i wanted to start fresh so i ran a Factory wipe from TWRP and can no longer boot into the OS. I was hoping flashing the zip will correct my issue.

No, it writes over /system and /boot. You can flash the rom and then supersu to keep root though.

Have you any plan for a flashable stock kernel (3.5.3) with modules? Thanks.

I'm oxgenOS 3.5.3

phone will not connect to Wi-Fi my phone doesn't have a Wi-Fi signal around the area or at.home can I download one of the modules. Wi-Fi turns on

[NANDROID] Motorola Marshmallow Soak test v5 - Dec 13 - makes other phones jelleh!!

This is considered a beta rom. Things may break, things may change, and your phone may brick or turn into a portable toaster. I'm not responsible.
You are flashing this at your own risk!!!
This is a nandroid backed up from a US 2gb/16gb xt1540. It may or may not work on all models...that is to be determined.
Confirmed compatible variants:
XT1540 (US 1/8GB and 2/16GB) (Canada)
XT1541 (UK) (France)
(if your variant is not here it only means it's either not tested or not reported working. please test and report back!)
If you are unable to boot or obtain any signals after flashing this, it is highly recommended you flash a full factory image intended for your specific model and wait for another solution.
This is only meant to be a temporary fix while we wait for the big guys to build us a standard rom.
PLEASE READ THE GUIDE BELOW!!! Some things have changed with v3
How to install:
Extract the .tar.gz archive like any zip
copy the folder to the directory where your other TWRP nandroids are on your internal storage or sd card (TWRP/BACKUPS/ZZY222____/) in here you will see folders with dates, times, rom names and info, etc in the folder names...copy the folder you extracted to this directory.
boot to TWRP
restore this backup
if coming from anything but a previous soak test, wipe userdata
wipe cache and dalvik cache
flash systemless root zip SuperSU v2.61 (optional) DO NOT flash any lower SuperSU version!!
reboot (Please be patient...it's a VERY long wait. If you pass 10 minutes waiting and it hasn't booted, force a reboot by holding the power button)
profit!
***It is HIGHLY recommended US xt1540 users update their radio. It is not required to run this soak test, though. THIS IS ONLY FOR US USERS!!!!! DO NOT FLASH THIS IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE UNITED STATES!!!!***
See this post for the updated soak test modem.img files (just flash to the modem partition with fastboot and reboot the device)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/201...-devs-moto-g3-xt1540-soak-test-files-t3255643
For anyone who is not in the contiguous USA (48 states) but still has xt1540 and would like to test the modem above, you can use the app linked below to back up your modem partition directly from your device before you try the new modem. This way you don't have to download a factory rom to get the right modem.img if you don't already have one backed up on your computer. You have to be rooted to use it.
Wanam Backup & Restore app (free)
How to root:
Please see this thread for the download:
http://www.xda-developers.com/update-to-snapprefs-xposed-module-includes-17-instagram-like-filters
The newest root method provided by chainfire does not touch the system partition. To the end-user, the only change is that when you flash a new kernel you must re-flash superSU....not your rom!!! What this means to us in this case is we can use the stock kernel provided with the soak test, flash the superSU zip, and have root, just like a Nexus device without having to wait for a permissive kernel!
*****After flashing the new systemless root zip you will be prompted to install superSU before the device reboots. DO NOT ALLOW IT TO INSTALL!!!!!! If you allow it to install with this option you will get a bootloop*****
**To view your device storage from your computer, open your notification shade, click the "USB for _____" notification, and select "transfer files (MTP)". It won't stick through a reboot, so you'll have to do this each time you boot.....the same thing goes if you unplug the cable.

I'm having issues extracting the System folder from the backup.

you can extract with any of the popular file managers for android right on your phone if you'd like. It may take a little longer, but it will work.

Apparently it was just an issue with 7-zip, WinRAR handled it perfectly.
This is my first time making a flashable ROM but it should be up later today.

[GUIDE]Restoring Honor 7x (L22) back to stock for OTA (required partitions only)

This will restore your Indian variant Honor 7x back to stock, in case you have rooted or flashed TWRP before. After this you can get OTA updates and they will flash fine. If you want to manually flash OTA updates, you can continue to next video after watching this
I suggest you to watch it carefully and do same as I did to prevent any damages.

All the post I see about manually flashing Oreo say you CAN NOT return to emui 5. So I would believe no
**EDIT**
I see now on firmware finder there are roll-back to emui 5.1 full-ota packages.
right now only for
BND-AL00
BND-AL10
BND-TL10
but perhaps after flashing that full ota to get partition table back , then follow this method from here to get correct regional specific parts back.
All still untested at this point
Suppose if I install Other rom first like AOSP or RR?

Your other post show you are on Oreo. This method, files linked are Android nougat.
You need to replace twrp with stock recovery, then wipe cache from there. This should fix your bootloop ,caused by wipeimg cache in twrp. Unless there is more to the story than you tell.

the downgrade is tricky , if not done with full downgrade files. It is pretty much a half full update, then restore a backup. There are many things that could cause trouble with this.
Did you try to factory reset after failed OTA?

[HELP]xXx No Limits to Android Pie

Hello everyone, could anyone help me to migrate from ROM xXx to Android 9?
I am currently using the ROM xXx but when trying to switch to another ROM I have problems with bootloop.
I tried following the procedures outlined in the last comments of the original thread but did not succeed, could anyone help me with a step by step to get out of the ROM and go to version 9 of android?
Here is some information that may be helpful in finding a possible solution:
Actually ROM: xXx No Limits 4.3 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...xxx-nolimits-1-1-speed-ram-optimized-t3627121)
New ROM:OxygenOS 9.0.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/official-oxygenos-4-5-2-7-1-1-ota-t3627003)
Device is decrypted
Bootloader Unlocked
TRWP 3.2.1-X blu_spark v8.61
In some attempts to install ROM the TWRP returned me error regarding vendor partition.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.

You'll need to be on your PC for this. Make sure you backup anything you want to keep from Internal Storage:
OOS:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3628190
1) Wipe and Format everything in TWRP.
2) Move OOS 5.1.3 (Full Zip) to Internal Storage
3) Install 5.1.3 and nothing else (You will lose TWRP, but don't worry abut that now)
4) OTA up to 5.1.7

OOS:

1) Wipe and Format everything in TWRP.
2) Move OOS 5.1.3 (Full Zip) to Internal Storage
3) Install 5.1.3 and nothing else (You will lose TWRP, but don't worry abut that now)
4) OTA up to 5.1.7

Thx for Help dude, but i have a problem.
I backed up my stuff and joined TWRP, after joining TWRP I went to WIPE> Format Data.
After that I passed the file from ROM 5.1.3 to the internal memory of the device and went to install and started the procedure, but doing so returned an error and I would like you to help me if it were possible.
The following message was displayed:
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_036_5.1.3.zip'
Can you help me?

ok, i will re-download the file and try the installation again.
I downloaded it again and tried the installation but again I got the same error when trying to install.
I am doing the download again but this time I will try to download without using download managers, in the previous attempts I used the Internet Download Manager (IDM) to do the downloads, do you recommend some download manager or browser?
I will also download via mobile data on the 4G network.

You can use Opera mobile, Firefox etc. But with download managers there are more issues(you'll find a lot on xda).

Okay, thanks, I'll try to download again and I'll come back with the result soon
I downloaded the file from ROM 5.1.3 on the phone and again it returned the same error, I will try one more time.
Please give me your opinion, is there any version of TWRP that is recommended for installation? is it not the version I'm using that might not be reading the file?
Anything else, do I need to install 5.1.3 exactly or can I get a version prior to it?
There's something wrong in the middle of it, but let's keep trying.

Maybe you can try with this recovery: twrp-3.2.3-0-20181031-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img
And see if it works.
Otherwise I would recommend to download OxygenOS 5.1.4 and try to flash that.

4.3 xXx magisk means you're running a stock oxygenOS where xXx 4.3 mod is running. Do you remember which oxygenOS version it was? 5.1.4 5.1.7 or whatever?

It could make things easier. If your phone still boots into OOS, go into Setting and scroll to the very bottom and select About Phone. Look at what Oxygen OS you are running. What you need to do is get that version all the way up to 5.1.7. Once you are there, you can just flash 9.0.2.

I have not tried to install 5.1.4 yet, I was trying to 5.1.3 as it was suggested, I will download version 5.1.4 that is in this repository (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3628190), and I will try to make the installation clean, ie format all the data, move the ZIP into the internal memory and try to see if it works.
I will try to clarify about the patch in case I try to reinstall ROM No Limits I need to install the full version which is 12.0 and patch 4.3 is just an update patch for the latest version and I can also go back to version 12.0.
Version 5.1.4 I have not yet tested if I can install it without errors, I will do it soon and I will come back with the result.
I think 5.1.4 should do the trick. I would highly recommend you wipe everything including systems, internal and data. This will pretty much give you a blank phone. Connect the phone to your computer and copy over 5.1.4 to the internal storage through TWRP, it should be the only file you see in your sdcard. Flash it and you should be good.

Okay, I'll do the test and I'll come back soon with the result, I'll change the version of TWRP too, this may be the problem.
Bringing the result of a few more tests, I first changed the recovery version, I went to the twrp-3.2.3-0-20181031-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img as suggested and after that I formatted all the data and started to appear a new one Error that was Failed to mount '/ vendor' (Invalid argument), I tried to install the 5.1.3 ROM and also to 5.1.4, which it was indicating was installing but at the end of the installation again I returned the error Failed to mount '/ vendor '(Invalid argument).
After that I reinstalled ROM No Limits 12.0 v. 5.1.3.
Does anyone know how to solve this new error?

Were you able to flash it with TWRP? Or how did you do it?

1) download the full recovery rom for your device from here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/
2) reboot to recovery
3) wipe dalvik art/cache and cache
4) flash the rom and magisk (don't reboot to system until you've flashed magisk)

If you get a compatibility error when flashing the rom just delete from the rom zip the file compatibility.zip

I’m on stock rom, MIUI Global 12.0.2, rooted with Magisk 21.4 and Orangefox recovery. Now there is an update to MIUI 12.0.3.
I’m not sure what to do. When I go to https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/ there is no recovery to 12.0.3. I can only find firmware 12.0.3. Can I still use this solution with firmware type?

I’m rather confused. When I go to About phone it says my MIUI version is Miui Global 12.0.2 stable (QFGEUXM). But the EEA version in your link has the same number: QFGEUXM. Does that mean I can use the Redmi Note 7 EEA Stable Recovery V12.0.3.0. (QFGEUXM)?
Edit: I can see when I click Download the Package Name includes "Global". So I guess it is usable? But then do I choose the Incremental Update or must I download Full ROM (.zip)?
Edit2: Just an update in case anyone should have the same question. I flashed the EEA version without problems. And I downloaded the Full ROM.

I'm not 100% sure because I don't use MIUI, but I think it's still good, what makes you think it's not good anymore? I don't think there have been any particular changes in how MIUI or magisk works that would make it obsolete

I'm on official lineageos 17.1 and yesterday I've updated magisk to version 22, then updated the rom without problems. But I've updated magisk from magisk app not from recovery, so I'm not sure that installing magisk from recovery still works in rn7. Anyway after the rom update, magisk still works correctly. Maybe it's better to ask on the magisk thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/magisk-general-support-discussion.3432382/

If you updated to the Indian/Global 11.0.1.2 before doing this, you only have 2 options:
1. Wait for the next OOS update, but when the Indian/Global update comes, don't update.
Instead, wait for the full update zip of the EU to be available, and then follow the steps in the previous comment.
2. Unlock bootloader, flash the full OTA zip of any variant via fastboot, and relock the bootloader.

Unless OnePlus is very different from the other major manufactures, you definitely do not want to use a patched boot image from a different model variation of software/firmware. At best it will cause major issues.. At worst, it will brick it.
If Oneplus is different, I would love some feedback on why and what they do from other users.

Correctish, you don't want to flash it. You can just boot the image. If successful it'll just boot the phone. If unsuccessful it will hang and you can just force reboot. No damage can because because it's not writing the boot image to the phones storage. Kinda like booting from a flash drive. The code is
Code:
fastboot boot /path/boot.img
If you boot a patched boot image you will have access to a rooted phone until you reboot. I.E. just enough time to flash magisk on the installed boot image.
Hope that makes sense.

I am familiar with how it works but with brands like HTC and Samsung, if we use a boot.img from a different variation, it will not work or even brick it. Thanks for the heads up! It sounds like there is more room for error for testing with OnePlus and modifying the system.
