Oneplus 3t system image - this is what support team sent (locked rar file) - OnePlus 3T Guides, News, & Discussion

This is what the team sent me.
I DO NOT HAVE THE RAR PASSWORD FOR THIS.
Oxygen - https://s3.amazonaws.com/oneplussupport/Op3/OnePlus3_16_A.07_160606.rar

Unless you can crack a rar archive without the password (they say it can be done but I haven't personally done it), then its useless on these forums.
Thats the stock image AND the msmdownload tool they use to flash the rom from a hidden Download Mode the OnePlus has when you Hold Volume Up while the phone is off and then you plug the USB in the phone.
They delete the system image and tool they extracted when they're done with it, but they didn't delete the locked archive. Because the password was left in my clipboard, I was able to re-extract the contents. Now I got me this convenient tool the support team uses that I can easily use to un****up my ****ups in the future.

@Ivalicenyan
Is the image only for your device or can you share it?

Why don't you share it. Will be convenient for unbricking hard bricked op3t

Dude, if you don't want to share your files with this community, there is no need to come here defy us with your finding. This tool might be very useful for OP 3T community.
If you want to share, go ahead and community will be grateful.
If you don't want to, don't say anything.

The said archive can be brute forced in order to extract it. But as some before me have said, unless you share it this post has no use to us whatsoever. Think before posting.

well if you can share the password then it would be amazing..

1. Why is this bumped? Oh, because of a junior...
2. That is for OP3 and not 3T
3. What is wrong with this unbrick thread, which seems to be the similar to what OP posted about, except it's for 3T.
F*** the password. That RAR is irrelevant here.

I'm annoyed because I already told him/them what was in the archive and no one wanted to search/google the tool name, just imply that I'm an asshole because I overlooked the thread 3 months ago.

can't unzip file

hey guys, I'm about too pull my hair out because for the love of god I cannot unzip the android 7-zip file!!! It keeps telling me it can't allocate enough memory. If anyone could be so kind as to help me out it would be GREATLY appreciated. This is on my hd2 with 7zip installed.
dude, any particular reason why you want to unzip the archive from within the device? as far as i know, large archives will give you trouble when unzipping on the device due to limited RAM memory and/or limited temporary space on the device memory.
if i was you, i would simply use my pc to perform the unzip and then copy the unzipped contents onto the device...simple eh?
your never gonna get that extracted on youre phone, and you cant really do much with it anyway just leave it to the dev's
@ASCIIker... yup, my computer died. Thanks for the answers guys.

if the device is all you have to take a crack at unzipping that file, one suggestion i can think of is to go file-by-file and/or folder-by-folder, i.e. pick a few files/folders, extract them, and move on to do the same with the next set of files/folders. this will only work if the archive contains multiple neatly sized files/folders...this method won't work if the archive just contains one big file!
only other thing i can think of is to try another software to try to unzip the archive. i understand you're trying a mobile version of 7zip...how about pocketrar? also, i think resco explorer has built in zip file support as well...
let us know if any of the above works for you. if all else fails, i hope your pc is fixed soon, good luck!
just an update. I was able to extract the second android download(without sense), but not the first- with pocketrar. Appreciate that ACSIIker. I guess I took for granted this phone has more memory and faster processor than my first few computers!! Just assumed it could handle the workload- O well

[REQUEST] recovery/repair image Xperia Play

can someone who has not unlocked their bootloader go through the "repair" process in either one of the software updaters located here
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...teyourproductsoftware/xperia-play?cc=gb&lc=en
when it downloads the repair image for your phone it will stores it on your computer probably somewhere in this folder
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson
or
start>run> %temp%
the file will be ~100mb or more
if someone can download that file and upload it to any media shareing website it would be greatly appreciated
I and we will need this for custom roms, root, and recovery if something goes afoot.
many thanks,
grant
EDIT: just an FYI this is different than the system.img /system dump that is floating around the recovery contains the boot.img, nv.img radio.img and among other things
hi johnsongrantr i just bought an xperia play sim free locked bootloader. I am new to the android front (newbie) been an iphone user for a while, if you explain what i need to do to get the recovery img i am more than happy to help
regards
Jason
C:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs
is where it will be and it will be called something like: FILE_277919341 and will be 157MB
Just done it but that file cant be opened even with magiciso like other roms can.
there is this as well:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...etailed/updateservice/xperia-play?cc=gb&lc=en
interestingly the above software tells you to press the back key before plugging in the usb!

thanks, if you or anyone else is following along at home, universal extractor http://legroom.net/software/uniextract can extract *most* archive files unless it is heavily encrypted... then more digging I must do.
BUT... if that works, how to inject root access to a already compiled boot.img + ram disk have a look at this guide
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Unpack,_Edit,_and_Re-Pack_Boot_Images
read the whole article but pay attention to the "alternative method" where you modify default.prop and change the line ro.secure=1 to ro.secure=0
that's basically all there is to it. Lets hope we can cleanly extract the contents of that file shall we
Already tried that as well bud just shows me a log file and thats it.
Need to rename it to use uniextract but nothing is accepted it fails on all
I litterly have no idea how we get the image file short of jtagging it!
how did they get it for the arc?

well I'll just have to look at it then
shouldn't need jtagging, might be able to get an unsecure x10/or arc boot.img to boot enough to pull the info we need, but I don't want to even start messing with that junk yet
was this before or after the source for the arc was released?
http://developer.sonyericsson.com/w.../download/so-01cgingerbread30d279?cc=gb&lc=en
they might have just compiled from source.... sadly, the play doesn't have it's source out yet
EDIT:x10/ or arc
not sure been following the arc threads for a while they havent rooted yet but they are leaps ahead of us we cant make stage 1.
cant get an answer yet as to how they got it, ive posted but waiting on a reply

If you go to "downloads" on top of that page, the sourecode for Gingerbread Xperia (Arc AND Play) are there, the one you link is not Arc. Seems all Xperia (new) is compiled from same source.

Getting ready to do the Clean ROM flash and I have a few questions:
1. The instructions say to Copy ROM to storage. When I navigate to my phone hooked to my PC, I can't find the "storage" folder. Any help with this step would be appreciated
2. How do I boot into recovery?
I have twrp installed and phone's rooted. Just need to know the button config. to go into recovery to follow the installation steps. TY

LOL! Sorry I had too. Someone needs there Coffee You copy the rom to your phones storage like where your pictures,Music, and stuff are at. They didnt say anything about a storage folder.
and 2. Download an app called reboot recovery in the market place
You should be cautious when flashing anything if you were looking for a "Storage" folder.

LOL I know, I feel like a total noob for even asking. I have to have instructions literally step for step or else I lose confidence and don't follow through. I'm coming from an SGS2 that I rooted and messed with for the 1st month and never flashed anything since, so I'm pretty much starting over with this ROM stuff. Thanks for the help though!
EDIT: I'm gonna ask another noob question: Do I copy just the img file or the META & System folders too?

Dude! Never be afraid to ask (but if the answers are on the website and you didn't do a proper search, expect flame on!).
Anyway, assuming you are on AT&T, you should have downloaded a file called CleanROM-1.1.zip . If you didn't get that one, go here http://www.scottsroms.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=464 and download it. Check the MD5 to ensure the file is not corrupt. Do not unzip the file! Just transfer the file onto your phone - it doesn't really matter where, just remember where you put it. Then reboot into recovery (assuming you have already installed TWRP) using whatever app you like (I prefer GooManager), click Install, navigate to the rom you just put on your phone and you're good to go.
Good luck!

Thanks yea I did get teh 1.1 ROM and twrp is installed already. I just didn't want to go any further until I for sure understood the process. This feels alot easier then when I was working on the sgs2 and Odin. That and it's been at least 2 years since I've done anything like this lol. Thanks for the help, it looks like it's flashing now!

[TOOL] XperiaZxTool LITE {Flashing Simplified}

Mod Delete
This should be in the cross device development section.
On another note, the thread you link to in option 21 of the tool is vastly out of date and advises the use of vroot (Which should be discouraged on XDA due to it sending IMEI numbers to an ip address in china, the official xda stance on this is to always give a warning about that which this thread, or your tool does not)
One other point, is it OK to have the folder in any path on your computer or will it need to be in the same folder as fastboot files?

I have reported mod to move the thread already. OK, I will correct the thread of z1 and link appropriate thread.
you can extract it in any path. Fastboot is included with this tool and also you can drag and drop boot.img from any path.
Thankyou for correcting.
Thanks,
It looks good...I just managed to look through the folder and see the fastboot folders.
Thanks for the good work

Houston, I have a problem.

Okay, like a smart person I went and deleted the build.props file in the systems folder. I wish I could explain, but I was trying to delete something else, and I guess I deleted the wrong file. I did not make any backups. (I did make a backup; but I never moved it the the sd card.) Now, the question is can someone just upload that same file, and will my rom be saved? (Using Qfil)
I wish I can help you but my LG V35 is bootloader locked and non-rooted
There you go. I added a txt extension because the app wasn't allowing me to upload it otherwise.
I have a bootloader unlocked, rooted v35 with an unmodified (to my knowledge) build.props file. I rarely ever need to modify that file on any rooted device and don't know if this is all you need, but here it is. ( I am on Android 8 ULM)
