Update
For those of you who's got the international model you can update to the EMUI5.0 without rooting your device just simply MOCK the location to China and then you got the update option in settings.
Cheers

Not sure but you can try to mock your location and if there is an update in settings just update it and there you go.

LOL :good: I'm gonna go back to the Asian B137 kitkat as I'm running the European version of B317 at the moment and upgrade from there, I'll see how it goes.
Downloading!
Installed, and works fine, only one problem with root, kingroot 4.5.2 not work
Any way to root with this version ?
Guys, there already is a thread on this topic. @alucine: there are numerous threads on that topic as well. Just exercise your fingers a little and do a search
It's not necessary to downgrade to an official firmware. Local update with B324 works fine with B317 installed before.

Its easier and better imo to flash the complete rom as a local update and perform a factory afterwards then waiting for an OTA. I flashed L over the B145 version and i have no issues at all.

No, only with a non modified stock Rom.
Do you have the snow notifications option by swiping down fingerprint id? It was on beta but not now. Wasn't working on beta through..
Send from Mate 7 using tapatalk
it's work!
I try to unzip the update.zip first. Then just copy "dload" folder within UPDATE.APP inside to MICROSD. Then try to do the Normal Upgrade by the following steps :
Press menu key to choose Settings->Updater->Menu->Local upgrade->Confirm->Upgrade to start the upgrade.
It's work.

All Firmwares and Updates (Official and Beta) for PLK-L01 C185 (Middle East Version)

I have Honor7 PLK-L01 C185 running on B130.
I tried to update to B140-B170-B180 via dload method but came to know that OTA files for C432 (European version devices) don't work on C185 (Middle Eastern devices). I just could find one complete ROM link of B321 for C185.

How to debrand to C432 bro?
Use Honor 7 multitool, there is an option to debrand, it will require you to unlock bootloader, root and to flash a custom recovery ( the tool will guide you through the process).
Let me know if you need any further info.

B321 is an old update, newer updates B370 and B371 have been released. Don't know however whether they are available for C185 or not. I probably had received B370 OTA update last week but now upon checking there is no new update available, my system on B130.

Download the zip file, unzip it, you will find a "dload" folder.
Put the folder on your sd card root, like sdcard1/dload.
Install this sd card to your phone.
Go to settings-system update-go to menu-local upate
select whether you want to backup or not, then proceed to update
I translate from Chinese guide, the specific words in your system may be different.

No u cant just flash a EU firmware and convert your phone. I know people have done it with Mate 8 and P9 so u can start by search there. There is a tool called SrkTool Huawei that can crossflash oeminfo so u can flash another firmware but no one has tested it on Honor 8 so if you want to be first be my gest here is a link to the tool and u can search on Mate 8 forum how to debrand your phone with this tool.

Update from EMUI 4.1 to 5.*

Hi guys,
I would like to update my M3 BTV-DL09 from C100B010 to the firmware C100B302.
Now I have some questions:
- is the B302 still a beta build? If yes, does anyone know, when a final build is to be expected for Europe/Germany?
- I removed the updater app (thought I will not need it) and im rooted and Bootloader unlocked, so I cannot install the update.app container at the moment. Solution would be to flash stock Bootloader and then do it again via the secret code menu. Does anyone have the stock bootloader for B010 as flashable zip for TWRP?
I think you can extract files from update.app file, such as stock recovery...
I am on B302 and it seems to be official. At least that's what all pages with update tutorial say.
Only problem that I have is that bluetooth isn't working. I have no idea what to try.

I just ordered the 32gb version from Amazon and I am getting it Wednesday. I hope there is still development on this tablet. It looks to be a nice tablet. I don't think I will even need to Root it.

I updated my device to B302 just yesterday using firmware finder and OTA.
I think that for LTE version the latest build is B303 and the update is an official stable build and files are uploaded on official Huawei server.
The C100B302 it a BETA, the newer C100B303 also is a BETA.
All Huawei firmware came from OFFICIAL Huawei servers...
The "updater" app is only required to check for OTA updates. ALL the updates are then installed by the RECOVERY module that is often overwritten by TWRP.
NEVER rewrite flash partitions if you're not knowing what you are doing! Search for a tutorial on Android partitions and read it!!!
No theme app!
I just upstaged my M3 wifi model w09, to the B302 version, its bootloader is locked and not rooted.
The only problem now I have is that I can not use or change themes, bcuz the system Theme app is not available, as if it hasn't been installed!
Any solution now that I'm not rooted?

Yes it was two big files that I forced updated one after another. And yes I have the "system update" in my tablet settings if that's what you mean.
I even re-installed it and tried B301 as well, but the results were the same!

Use Firmware Finder to send Firmware to Huawei Updater. It will flash both files. Dload method did not work for me either, I had same issue.
You need to be on marshmallow to do the proper update.

Good question...i can't find the rollback firmware for US. That is what you need first.
You can find here Marshmallow Firmwares:

Probably BTV-W09C128B003 is what you need. First you need the rollback package from Nougat.

You can find the rollback package here, for you tablet. However this is a European German page. I hope that the package is good for your device.

thank you for the assistance but the only rollback on that page is again specifically listed as btv-dl09, in fact it is the same identical file listed on boycracked.
You need to choose as device BTV-W09.

boy do i feel stupid, i see it now, thank you.
here is a direct link for anyone else needing a rollback on w09 from nougat to marshmallow.
http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=94469&version=380487&siteCode=de
don't worry about it being the German page, the included directions are all in English.
again,
thank you!
from what I've read, the rollback sets up the system to accept emui 4.1 updates, which are blocked after moving to emui 5.0 a second flash is required with the actual firmware. this is the direct link for the recommended firmware after the rollback.

Will formatting reset back my system from AL10 to l29?

Hi,
I originally had l29636. But debranded it to AL10 to update to the latest firmware. So will formatting my system reset it back to L29? Will the debranding reset after formatting?.
Also I have been trying to update froml29c636321 to l29c636563. But every time it changes from l29c900 to NRDtest 90? Later I cannot upgrade to the latest firmware which is L29c636585?
Please help.

Thanks for your response. As I amusing firmware finder to install the firmware, would I need to install all the OTA versions or just 1 old MM like 321 and then directly Nougat585 ?

best to first install the latest full OTA for your cust in terms of b3xx and then install the latest full nougat firmware on top.
