How to root Samsung galaxy grand prime g531f using adb and fastboot in Ubuntu using SuperSu?
Install SuperSu from sideload work?
Anybody have tried before?
Nope it will not work, Samsung devices contain something called "download" mode instead of fastboot mode.
Fastboot will not work on samsung devices to root your phone. you need Pre-Rooted firmware and odin
You know how to flash it?

I tried Odin method and failed. So I check for another method. I installed sansung driver package before try with Odin. Installation of Kite is a prerequisite?

I have samsung grand prime sm-g530h but the screen is broken and I can't see a thing.
I want to see the phone on PC but to do that i have to turn on the usb debugging. After searching through the xda and google, I found out that I have to flash cwm recovery to use adb to turn on the usb debugging. So just to be sure and safe I'd like to know the following:
1- Do I have to unlock the bootloader to be able to flash cwm via odin and if yes how do i know that the bootloader is locked or unlocked ?
2- Is Odin 3.07 the right version for grand prime g530h ?
3- Should I back up the stock recovery and if yes what is the best method to do that with a broken screen ?

Can't flash TWRP on my S5 SM G900F.
-Auto Reboot is unchecked on Odin.
-I've used Odin 3.07/3.09/3.10.
-Reactivation Lock is OFF
-USB debugging is checked.
-I've tried with TWRP (TAR obviously) 3.1 and 3.0.
Am I missing something?

silly question have u installed drivers on pc first if not reboot to download mode and let it install drivers i never had to touch any of the settings for it to work if that dont work then try Odin3 v3.11.1

Drivers are installed. I flashed a recovery on a Galaxy S3 not so long ago and everything went fine. That's the reason I posted this thread. I do not know what else to do.
On download mode there are some things like "Download mode secure" "CBS Enabled". It has something to do?
I also have the same problem.. followed every possible guide and no matter if I successfully flash with odin, heimdall or from twrp flash app as root.. when booting my S5 immediately into recovery with volup+home+pwr it will always show the old recovery and not twrp!! Is it readonly and just acting to be flashed or what?? Some carrier might have locked the recovery preventing flashing? It's a SM-G901F klte from swissmobile...

Just Uncheck Auto Reboot on Odin
No autoreboot of course i unchecked and do manuale Direct boot to recovery
Anyone knows how to check if the recovery partition is protected

I solved it by using a short usb cable, no usb3 ports, only usb2, maybe you try different ones on your laptop/pc, also avoid any hub in between. It's incredibly picky!
I successfully rooted my phone but it got stuck in a bootloop when I restarted it.
I can't enter recovery mode or turn it off, all I can do is enter odin mode.
I have tried:
1. The AGQ5 fix (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...g-aqg5-fix-t3636857/post73032395#post73032395) it doesn't work.
2. Smart switch, it says my device is unsupported
Please help!
1- flash twrp again
2- flash stock rom with odin ( download mode )
you can reboot just with vol - + shut down B
you maybe installed the wrong version of twrp the latest one is for the new bootloader if you have the older bootloader install the last version
It doesn't boot into TWRP even after I flash it again

Sorry if I'm asking a question but how do I check my bootloader version? I just used the latest version (twrp-3.1.1-0-herolte.img.tar) from a site but I can't link it.

It doesn't boot into TWRP even after I flash it again
Flash full stock in odin. Then you can try twrp again if you wish.

HELP ! S8 Wont BOOT !!
I have the same problme! I can flash Combination file and then its booting and I can go to recovery mode ,but after when I flash again STOCK rom succesfully ,S8 wont boot Any Idea what is going on ? Im on U2CRED ....PLEASE HELP !!!!

I can ONLY boot into download mode.
When switching on the phone , I get the Galaxy S8 logo by Samsung with the red writing on the top:
"Only officiall released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
Flashing original firmware via ODIN just fails.
"Complete (write) operation failed !!" is the error in Odin.
I tried different versions of Odin , original firmware and boot loaders suggested on XDA. All just fails.
So my phone is just dead.
I had the lasted firmware on ( OTA update about a week ago)
I installed TWRP now , roooted with Magisk , all was fine untill I rebooted the phone.
So drivers and all are fine , everything worked until I rebooted the phone.
Please help. What to do now. I need my phone !!!

and also tried 4 file frimware
but wont go pass start up logo
and smart switch show device not supported
You don't need to flash only the stock rom (Only AP slot on Odin). In this case, you need to flash stock recovery and the other stuff (BL, AP,CP, CSC). I don't know where you can get the files.
And how did you break your phone? You tried to root it?

i already said that i tried 4 file flash file (BL. AP. CP. CSC) odin show pass but phone wont go pass boot screen
Have you try samsung smart switch emergency recovery code ? with serian nr mode?

Can you install TWRP from odin?
I have the same problem with my A510f...
Any solutions?

Maybe cause you can't? I'm not trying to sound like a troll, but you can't do that.
All I'm gonna say is more research is needed, if you don't have an international version you won't be able to

As the other reply wrote, you can't flash TWRP recovery onto the Verizon S7 because the bootloader is locked. Can't be done. You need to check the guides in this forum to find out how to flash the few ROMs available.
