Battery drain Android os and system - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone found a way to deal with the Android OS and Android system battery drain? I've already tried clearing my cache I've tried 2 or 3 different Roms as well. I hardly get 3 hours sot. Phone lasts about 6-10 hrs depending on usage. Before upgrading to nougat I used to get about 5 hours of sot and phone used to last for about 1 day and a few hours. Usually both Android and os consume 10-15% more than the screen . Please help, it will be much appreciated. Thank you.
I'm running Android 7.1.1 dev preview
With stock kernel

I'll agree.. happened to me as well... Had to disable sync... Only after that did I control it a bit...
Just hoping that 7.1.1 fixes it

For me, system drains are cause from never wiping data during a rom flash "aka" clean install. The only way I can ever get everything synced up properly and sleeping is to manually boot into fastboot and erase/format all partitioms and then boot into twrp and reflash the rom. Also a big thing is I let my phone sit for about 10 minutes after boot just to let everything settle down. Only when it is cold to the touch is when i'll begin.

try battery calibration
This is common problem on the galaxy tabs. Dont worry just yet. I had the same problem on the stock rom but as soon as I flashed task650's rom the problem dissapeared. Try just using the tab a couple of charge cycles(charge all the way, then let die completly). There also some apps on the market that will reset battery stats but I think you might have to root to do that. If you havent already, I would try to root/install custom recovery, because this gives you many more ways to troubleshoot your problem.

com.android.phone crashes when I get a call

Whenever I get a call com.android.phone crashes and I am unable to answer phone calls, my signal drops and comes back after 5-10 seconds. People tell me they call me and it rings once then hangs up.
Any idea what I need to do to fix this issue?
I'm running cm10.1 rc5, Franco kernel, and modem. 33
Thanks!

clear the data for the phone app in your phones main settings, apps, all, phone.. then reboot.
if that doesnt fix things then wipe your dalvik and then run a fix_permissions.

have you tried reflashing your rom, or a different version of cm? have you tried to use a different gapps zip? have you tried to disable(then reenable) contacts sync in google sync settings?
Also I don't know if it's relevant but my battery shows phone calls are using 75% of my battery, on for 8h35mins of 10hrs, I only made one 5 min call today.

Battery lasts 50% less After 4.4.2 kitkat upgrade

Two days ago I've installed last official upgrade to 4.4.2 kitkat on my unrooted 4.3 Note 3.
Phone is worst than before.
Battery life is signifincatly less (about 50% less) and the phone (petfect before) now is slower and less snappy.
Solid Explorer (the file manager) is mo more able to write to external SD.
And I read Other people have same problem no matter the file manager they use.
Anyone have noticed same things?

If you are rooted, there is a fix for the SD card issue. Else, just wait for the OTA.
For the other problems, try a factory reset.
Did anyone come up with a fix

In same situation as yours I factory reset & clear catch in recovery, now battery life is amazing:thumbup:

Found battery life to be better in kit kat if anything. I did factory reset before upgrading though.
The Samsung file manager writes to external sd. If you don't want to root you might just have to put up with that piece of garbage until the solid explorer Dev gets around to updating his app to comply with the new security requirements in kit kat.

I have had very good battery life on kitkat. it all depends on how you set up the rom. Also these screenshots are just an average day.. i booted into recovery twice.

It seems at LG they take really their time to do things
Yesterday my tab has got an update to 5.0.2 over the LG PC Suite. It runs fine I like it!
Lollipop
I received the OTA two days ago, i'm from Brazil
What about battery drain? After update, I left the tablet in airplane mode this morning with 70% battery, and found it in the afternoon with 30% ?
Hoping in better performance in the future...

No issues here, did u do a factory reset?
No I didn't, at this point i guess I should.
Here's a screenshot for battery usage. 6% drop in 3 hours is in airplane mode.

U should definitely factory reset. Use helium to backup ur mandatory app data (no root needed)
I took @C4SCA's advice about factory resetting and I'm getting better battery than I did on kitkat with m v700. It helps a ton as it rids the system of any lingering kitkat files. I'm loving the lollipop rom much more than I did kitkat.
All right now, after factory reset my gpad works fine
Factory Reset before or after the update? How about flashing a factory image, wouldn't that be the best solution?
Oh, BTW: Is LG browser still there on Lollipop? I really won't miss that.
I did it after the update, it basically wipes data: flashing a factory image would have been my B plan, just in case factory reset would never fix my problem.
And yes, unluckly lg browser still here...

I confirm that good behaviour, after quite an hour of screen working I'm still with 100% battery, just hope it's not kidding me... ? I just don't like notification panel so tight, wider was better in many ways.

Don't make a thread if you already fixed your issue! Unless you had something important to share with other users, this is pointless.

well you've formatted your whole phone and on complete stock then nothing else you can do. send it in for warranty if not try a custom ROM to fix it.

Use the official method to flash factory image of 7.1.1. That is: use the flash-all script with a recent Google SDK.
